PC Sound Card Internal Front/Back Connections Adapter

PC Sound Card Internal FrontIBack Connections Adapter
Background
Internal PC sound cards are installed in the mother board and are mounted in
the slot in the back
of PC's chassis. Access to the sound card's jacks is only from the back of the
PC.
At times it can be really tedious to connect headphones to the sound card's
speaker output or a
different sound source to sound card's line-in input.
In many cases it involves moving the PC. It only allows for one device to be
connected to each of
the sound card's inputs or outputs so if any device is already connected it
has to be
disconnected, before second device can be connected.
Detailed Description
PC Sound Card Internal Front/Back Connections Adapter is a device that
enhances PC sound
card functionality by giving the user flexibility to either use adapter's
female jack connectors in the
front or at the back of the PC.
By switching a switch corresponding to a sound card's input (or output) jack a
user can switch
between devices connected to the front panel jack or the back panel jack of
the adaptor
independently for each of the sound card's jacks.
Adaptor consists of front panel, back panel and the cable that connects the
back panel of the
adaptor with the sound card's jacks.
Most common use is to have speakers connected to the back of the PC and
headphones
connected to the front.
This way user can easily connect different headphones as required without the
need to access
the back of the PC and switch between speakers and headphones with a push of
the button.
It is also handy to have the option to connect different microphone or
different sound sources
without having to move the: PC to access the sound card's jacks at the back of
the PC.
Build in potentiometer controks the output of the 'Speaker Out' jack to allow
easy control of the
headphones (speakers) loudness. Windows build in volume control is a digital
volume control that
allows to increase ;or decrease) the volume in preset increments.
Potentiometer allovvs to 'fine' tune the volume to user preferences.
Adapter consists of
~ Front panel (Figure 1) that in:;talls in an empty 3.5" bay
~ Front panel 5.24" adaptor plate (Figure 2) that allows installation of the
front panel in the 5.25
bay.
~ Back panel (Figure 3) that install in and empty slot at the back of the PC's
chassis
~ Adaptor-to-sound card cable (Figure 4).
Internal Connections (Figure 5).
