The patents mentioned above are probably the most relevant.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a tool
which can be hand held arid used to crimp metal rings onto piping j oints.
Summary of the invention:
According to the present invention, there is described a tool being
used to crimp metal rings onto piping joints, which comprises two half=die
members with bores therein in which to receive th.e tubes, and having holes
formed therein at one end for connecting the two half die members to a
body member and held in place by each pin passing through holes.
A tightening screw located approximately in the middle of the di.e
member and having hole for engaging an arm of force, passes through an
aperture formed therethrough each half die member.
The head of the screw enables if needed to nse a l~ey or ratchet for
giving again more driving force to the tightening screw.
Brief description of the several views ~f the dra~vin~(s):
The invention will now be described by way of example with
reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:

Detailed description of the invention:
Now referring to the accompanying drawings, and in particular to
figs. 1 to 2, there is shown a tool {A) being used to crimp metal rings onto
piping joints, which comprises two half die members (l)(2) with bores
therein in which to receive the tubes, and having holes formed therein at one
end for connecting the two half die members (1)(2) to a body member (5)
and held in place by each pin {6) passing through holes.
A tightening screw {3) located approximately in the middle of the die
member and having hole for engaging an arm of force (4), passes through an
aperture formed therethrough each half die member (1)(2).
The head of the screw enables if needed to use a key or ratchet (not
shown) for giving again more driving force to the tightening screw (3).
Accordingly, while t:he preferred embodiments of the invention have
been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various
modifications may be made in the invention and the appended claims are
intended to cover all such modifications which may fall within the spirit and
scope of the invention.
