English Abstract


ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE
A disposable diaper having a backing sheet and a top
sheet with an absorbent pad therebetween, The diaper is provided
with tape fastener for securing the diaper on an infant and is
further provided with another tape fastener for securement across
a tuck in the diaper for better fit and prevent waist leakage.
The other tape fastener is removably attached to the top sheet,
in the front or rear thereof.

THE EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION IN WHICH AN EXCLUSIVE PROPERTY OR
PRIVILEGE IS CLAIMED ARE DEFINED AS FOLLOWS:
1. A disposable diaper comprising a backing sheet, an absorbent pad
on said backing sheet, a top sheet secured to said backing sheet along
the peripheral edges of said top sheet and said backing sheet, said
diaper being folded into a box-pleat configuration defining a central
panel, inwardly extending panels, and outwardly turned panels, a first
tape strip fastener secured to said backing sheet for securing the
diaper on an infant, the improvement comprising a release sheet secured
to said top sheet and disposed on said central panel, and another tape
strip fastener wholly separate from said first tape strip fastener and
said top sheet and said backing sheet and spaced from said first tape
strip fastener removably mounted on said release sheet for securement
across a tuck in said diaper and on said top sheet after the diaper has
already been secured on an infant by said first tape strip fastener.
2. A disposable diaper according to claim 1, wherein said another
tape strip fastener is secured on the back of the diaper at the waist
thereof and is of elastic material for reducing leakage.

According to the invelltion, the-re ls provided a disposable diaper
comprising a backing shee-t, an absorbent pad on said backing shee-t, a
top sheet secured to said backing sheet along ~l~e peripheral edges of
said top sheet and said backing sheet, said diaper beiJIg folded into a
box-pleat configura-tion defining a cen-tral panel, inwardly ex-tending
panels, and outwardly turned panels, a first tape strip fastener secured
to said backing sheet for securing the diaper Oll an lnfant, the improve-
ment comprising a release sheet secured to said top sheet and disposed
on said central panel, and another tape strip fastener wholly separate
from said first tape strip fastener and said top shee-t and said backing
sheet and spaced from said first tape strip fastener removably mounted
on said release sheet for securement across a tuck in said diaper and
on said top sheet after the diaper has already been secured on an infant
by said first tape strip fast~ner.
