Claim lst In harvesting machines, a tilting lever rigidly connected to the hinged pole or tongue of the machine, in combination with the grain wheel adjusting chain so arranged that, in tilting the machine, the movement of the tilting lever imparts simultaneously vertical adjustment on the grain wheel side of the machine. 2nd In combination with a grain wheel, adjusting lever pivoted on the tilting lever and so connected to the grain wheel that a vertical adjustment can be imparted to the grain wheel side of the machine without affecting the inside. 3rd A ratchet sheaf pivoted to the tilting lever and having attached to it the grain wheel adjusting chain, in combination with a ratchet pawl pivoted to the tilting lever and operated by the grain wheel adjusting lever. 4th In a harvesting machine having a lever seat arranged to adjust the inside of the machine, is tilting lever rigidly fastened to the hinged tongue or pole of the machine, in combination with a rack bar connected to the main frame of the machine and a chain connecting the tilting lever to the grain wheel, by means of which either side or both sides of the table may be raised or lowered by the one tilting lever. 5th In a harvesting machine having the finger beam bolted rigidly to :end adjusted with the main frame of the machine of the combination of a diagonal brace extending from the finger beam to the hinged pole or tongue of the machine. 6th In a harvesting machine, a chain N attached to the grain wheel arm R and passing over the grooved pulley P located at the base of the rake jack stand and grooved pulley 0 on the pitman head cover, in combination with the ratchet sheaf I pivoted on the tilting lever E and operated by the lever J. 7th A diagonal brace extending from the hinged tongue or pole of the machine, in combination with a triangular washer bolted to the finger beam and table and forming a flexible connection for the said brace. 8th The combination, with the cutter bar, of it wedge-shaped shield extending over the outside end of the cutter bar and forming a grain divider. 9th The combination, with the pole B, of a pole block C, focusing one member of the hinge D, connecting the pole to the main frame A and shaped to receive the tilting lever E, which is bolted toil as specified. 10th In is grain wheel, adjusting chain N connected to the grain wheel arm R by an eye pin entering from the top side of the arm and secured by the clamp T. 11th A pawl 11 pivoted to the tilting lever E and having a slotted passage way h cut in it, in combination with the lifting rod i connected to the lever J and operated for the purpose of throwing the pawl in and out of gear. 12th A grain wheel adjusting chain N connected to the ratchet sheaf I pivoted on the tilting lever E and prevented from revolving in one direction by the slotted pawl H with blocks M on the face of the said sheaf, in combination with lever J pivoted to the tilting lever E on the same centre as the sheaf I, and provided with a lifting rod i passing through a slot h in the pawl H, and secured to the lever J. 13th The table B having notched stringers y, in combination with the spring truss X and bolt y2 arranged as specified
