Claim 1st The combination of a driving wheel carrying an adjus-table sail on each spoke, a frame E reciprocated in the vane frame C :end operating the sails by intermediate levers, a pivotal staff F having flag board It to move the frame E in one direction by pressure of wind on the flag board, and a weighted arm X to reciprocate it in an oppo¬site direction when the wind falls to cause the sails to be automatically feathered and set broadside to the wind. 2nd A driving wheel having spokes, each spoke carrying ft feathering sail, the sails con¬nected in two sets by links M and operated by a reciprocating frame E and levers. 3rd The combination, with the vane frame C of is windmill, of a, reciprocating frame E, pivotal staff P having flag board 11 and a weighted arm X for closing and opening the sails. 4th The weighted arm X. connected by levers to the reciprocating frame E, rope N and pulley posts N No for feathering the sails by manual power.
