A b s t r a c t
a remote radio-control device for a motor drive system of a gate
wing with a mobile push-button operated transmitter and a re-
ceiver arranged on the gate or drive system which, when a button
is pressed on the transmitter, causes the drive system to move
the gate wing in one or other direction or take it to an interme-
diate stopped position and which is arranged to ensure the trig-
gered direction of travel of the gate wing, even without any
knowledge of the movement previously made, in such a way that
the transmitter has two separately operable push-buttons, one of
which gives a signal to close the gate wing and the other a signal
to open it, where, in a preferred embodiment, the simultaneous
actuation of both buttons generates a signal to stop the gate
wing.

C l a i m s
1. A remote radio-control device for a motor drive sy-
stem of a one-part or multi-part gate wing, especially capable to
be taken to an overhead opening position, also of a horizontally
movable sliding gate, barrier or simliar object, comprising a mobile
transmitter operated by means of push-buttons and a receiver
stationary on the gate or the drive system, said receiver upon
depression of the push-buttons of the transmitter controlling the
drive in the one direction of travel of the gate wing, in the other
direction of travel thereof or stop position between the opening
and closing position, characterized in that the transmitter (1) has
two separately operable push-buttons (4,6), one of which trigger-
ing a signal for the movement of the gate wing towards its closing
position of the other one of which triggering a signal for the
movement of the gate wing toward its opening position.
2. A control device according to claim 1, characterized in
that the simultaneous actuation of both push-buttons (4,5), trig-
gers a signal for stopping the movement of the gate wing (stop
signal).
3. A control device according to claim 1, characterized in
that the receiver (2) receives the previous direction of travel of
the gate wing as a memory signal, and that the simultaneous ac-
tuation of both push-buttons (4,5) triggers a movement of the
gate wing in a direction opposite to the memorized previous di-
rection of movement.
4. A control device according to claims 2 and 3, char-
acterized in that a first simultaneous actuation of both push-but-
tons causes the termination of the gate wing movement respective-
ly taking place, and that another simultaneous actuation of both
push buttons (4,5) triggers a movement of the gate wind in a di-
rection opposite to the direction of the previous movement.

5. A control device according to one of the claims 1 to 4,
characterized in that also the actuation of only one of the push-
buttons (4,5) first triggers a signal for the termination of the
gate wing movement just carried out (stop signal), and that upon
subsequent actuation of either the same or the other push-button
(4 or 5) the gate wing movement directionally associated therewith
is triggered and/or continued.
6. A control device according to one of the claims 1 to 5,
characterized in that an adjustable (8,9), coded identifying signal
ensuring the correspondence between the transmitter (1) and re-
ceiver (2) has priority of time over the push-button signals for
the directional gate wing movement, respectively the interruption
or reversal thereof.
7. A control device according to claim 6, characterized
by a parallel-serial signal transformer (12,13) for the tranform-
ation of the identifying signal stored by the adjustment as a par-
allel-code-signal to an equally informative pulse train signal ra-
dio-transmitted to the receiver - particularly by means of a high-
frequency carrier.
8. A control device according to one of the claims 1 to 7,
characterized in that the actuation of the push-buttons (4,5) for
the direction of movement of the gate wing, respectively its inter-
ruption at the same time causes the emission of the identifying
signal.
9. A control device according to one of the claims 1 to 8,
characterized in that the transmitter (1) and receiver (2) each
have a number of adjusting switches (8,9) - preferably at least
ten - for the determination of the - preferably dually coded -
identifying signal (basic coding).
10. A control device according to one of the clam 1 to
8, characterized in that an input-switch means is provided in the
transmitter, and that the receiver has a first switching position

wherein an identifying signal output from the transmitter is input
in a corresponding memory of the receiver, and that the receiver
has a second switching position wherein It responds to a trans-
mitter by virtue of this memory contents only after receipt of an
identical identifying signal.
11. A control device according to one of the claims 1
10, characterized in that one or more push-buttons for other
functions - garage lighting circuit - are provided In addition to
the push-buttons for the gate wing motiional direction.
12. A control device according by one of the claims 1 to
11, characterized In that both push-buttons (4,5) are arranged in
direct juxtaposition and adjacent by one another without any in-
termediate casing web.

~ons the recelver and the assoclatad transmltter or transrnltters
