8PECIFIC~TION
This invention relates to a device used in the cooking of
sliced meats. Sliced meats such as bacon are generally
cooked on a hot surface, such as a hot plate, grill or
frying pan. These meats curl up because one side of the meat
gets hot while the other slde remalns cold and because the
consistency of the fat to meat ratio is never constant.
These factors prevents the meat from cooking evenly.
This invention prevents sliced meats from curling
- during cooking and produces evenly cooked pieces of meat.
This invention consists of a piece of metal or high
temperature plastic of a size that will fit most domestic
cooking surfaces and of a thickness sufficient for the
device to hold lts flatness during regular use. Item # 1 on
- drawing.

The cooking surface of the Bacon Press will be treated if
need be to ensure a safe cooking environment and that the
cooking surface meets any and all regulations pertaining
to food and cooking devices.
The treatment that the cooking surfaces receives will depend
on the material being used in the manufacturing of the
device. If the material is stainless steel then there will
be no treatment required. If the material is aluminum then
the cooking surface could be covered with teflon.
The Bacon Press has a heat resistant handle for moving the
device to and from the cooking area. Item # 2 on the
drawing. The weight of the d-vice will be sufficient to hold
the bacon or meat from curling during the cooking process.
The drawing is representative of the device but the actual
shape of the device may be different from that shown in the
~ ~ drawing.
