English Abstract

ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE
A closure for receptacles comprising an annular body
which is adapted to attach to the upper part or neck of a
receptacle by a cap which is attached by an articulation and
spring to the annular body which is shaped like an open
receptacle in its upper part. The annular body has means for
attachment to the upper part or neck of the receptacle and has
means for closing the cap so that the contents of the receptacle
are tamper-proof.

Claims

Note: Claims are shown in the official language in which they were submitted.

The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive
property or privilege is claimed, are defined as follows:
1. Closure for receptacles, characterized by being constituted by an annular body that
adapts and attaches to the upper part or neck of the receptacle and by a cap attached
by an articulation and spring to the annular body that has a shape like that of an open
receptacle in its upper part, and which body has means of attachment to the upper part
or neck of the receptacle and also has means for closing the cap so that the contents of
the receptacle will be tamper-proof. ---------------------------------------------------
2. Closure according to Claim 1 characterized by the means of attachment consisting
of a clamp with screw and nut that adjust the annular body to the neck or upper part
of the receptacle. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Closure according to Claim 1 characterized by the interior surface of the annular
body being grooved. --------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Closure according to Claim 1 characterized by the means of closing consisting of
a lock with key and/or combination or a padlock. --------------------------------------

CL0SURE FOR RECEPrACLES. Thc PATENT AppLIcAcIoNrefers to a closure ~or
receptacles. This closure may be used for receptacles with a nec~ and also for bonle-
type receptacles and, by e~tension, as a closure that rnay be plac~ on a pouringelement applied to the receptacle it~elf. ----- ----------------------------------- ------
The receptacle in itself may contain liquid producls under pressure or not, aerosols,
sp~s, pills, that is, materials that are contained in receptacles of any shape.------~-
The novel prin.ciple of the closure of the invention derives fr~m its constitution, form
Normally, receptacles with a neck use as means of closu~ various elements that rurl
from a cap to defined, tamper-pros)f closures ~icularly for drinks, for e~ample
whiskey. -- ~ -------------- ------~ --~ ~--~
In the so called tamper-proof closures, the vulnerabiLi~ of this closure has been
demonstrated and the liquid can be manipulated. ~
Regarding receptacle~ that contain solid products, it should be no~d that the closure
can ea~ily be manipula~ed and access o~tain~d to ~e produ~t, not only by ~dults but
also by children. -- -- ----- ------------
~ll~e closure of the invention is use~ on ~oeptacles ~ and with~ut tamper-p~of
closures, since what gives it the ~Lmper-proof nature is tbe clo~ure of ~e inven~on
itself, ~
The closure of the invention is also useable on receptacles that conta~n solid and even
ga~ous products. -------------------------------------- ---- ---- -~---~~~~~~-
~The closure is ~ormed by two bodies, one ring shaped with an interior grooved face
and also with slightly elastic properties, which annular body has a la~eral prolongation
pointing upwards, defining a seating tha~ is closed !~rom above by means of a second
bo~y or cap with a means of closure, such as a padlock or lock witb key, bar or
The annular body adjusts to and is attached to ~e body aher coming up againsl the
neck, by me~ns of clamps with adjustment and anachment by a nut and sc~ew, the
former may be a butterfly nut in order to simplify manual action by ~he user. --~
The annular part is placed on the perimeter ne~r the mouth of the receptacle if there isno neck, as in the case of a barrel or similar r~ceptacle. -------- ~
Once the annular body is attached to the neck, for elsample of a bottle with liquid, the
cap is turned to make the closure. -------~ ~
The cap is related to ~e first, annular body by means, for e~ample, of a binge wi~h
spring to al~ow stability in ~e two e~treme positions of the cap. ~
The system for positioning the cap may be varied, for e~ample it may consist of a
remoYeable, or fi~led, jointed coupling. ----------- -- -----------~------~

2~7~8
Orl the outside the cap has the closure element of the lock placed cen~red on the
annular body, in a manner that a~lows the closure to be made easily. ---------------------
ln order to more easily unders~and not only the constihl~ion, but alsv the use and
advantage of the closure, referenee is made here to a prac~ical e~ample of the
inven~ion, with this form being merely an example and in no case a limi~tion on the
same, all as shown in the attached drawings, where: --------------------------------------
Figure I shows a view of the ~losure placed on the ne~k of a rece~tacle. ----------------
Figure 2 shows a sectional view of the open closure. ------------------------------------
Figure 3 shows a top view of the closure. -----------------------------------------------
Figwe 4 shows a side view of a receptacle without neck, such as a barrel, jar or any
other container on which ~he closure of the invention is used. ---~-------------~
Figure S shows a top view of FiguTe 4. ----------------------------------~------Pigure 6 shows a detailed view of the a~ticulation of the receptacle cap.-------------
Figure 7 shows a sectional view of the articulation of Figure 6.--------- ----
With regard to the figures, in Figures 1, 2 and 3 the closwe I is shown on a
r~oeptacle 2 with neck 3 and mouth 4.----- ------~
This closure I is forrned by an annular body ~, a cap Sa connected by a hinge 6 with

The annular body S has grooves 7 on its inside surface and has a divergent e~tension 8
tov.~rds the lower end wbere it can be reversed to define a lateral wall 9 that fo~ns a
~sea~ing 10. ---------------- _ _ __ _ _ _ _
Furthennore, the annular body S has a clamp 11 with screw 12 and butterfly nut 13
that holds the annular body in position against the ne~k and mouth and also this rneans
of attachment is prote&ted by the cap 5a that has on the end opposite the articulation
that part of the lock 14 that is additional to and is found on the armular body, facing

This lock may be used with a key or with a padlock. --------------------------------------
Regarding Figures 4, S, 6 and 7, it shculd be noted that when the closure is used on a
barrel 15 the annular body is attached ~nd the cap 16 is closed with a padlock or lock
The articula~ion 17 of the cap consists of coupling the bar 18 in some end clamps 19
of the ~arrel 15 or any receptacle that has no neck. -----------------------------------------
Having sufficiently descri~d the nature of the invention, as well as the manner of
c~urying it out in practics, it should be noted that the above layouts indicated and
represented in the attached drawings may ~e modified provided this does not alter
their fundamental principle. -----------------------------------------------~----------
