English Abstract

Abstract
A process for producing a case for receiving a
watchwork made from a disposable metallic container is
proposed. In this, the used container is deformed in its
longitudinal axis and, if appropriate, in the radial
direction. A recess for introducing the watchwork is
likewise provided by reshaping.
The case described is economical to produce since
it does without raw materials which have to be prepared
specially.

Claims

- 4 -
Patent Claims
1. A process for producing a case for receiving a
watchwork made from a disposable metal container, defined
by the following process steps:
- compressing the container along its longitudinal
axis and, if appropriate, in the radial direction to
a predetermined dimension,
- shaping out a cavity for receiving the watchwork,
- shaping out or forming on a fastening member for
connection to the watchwork.
2. The process as claimed in claim 1, wherein the
container is a can, especially a beverage can.
3. The process as claimed in claim 1, wherein the
metallic material is aluminum, tinplate or the like.
4. The process as claimed in claim 1, wherein the
cavity for receiving the watchwork is coated.
5. The process as claimed in claim 1, wherein the
fastening member is designed as a bayonet fastening.
6. The process as claimed in claim 1, wherein an
integrated mounting for securing the wrist strap is
formed.
7. The process as claimed in claims 1 to 6, wherein
the case formed is provided with a coating.
8. A case for a watchwork produced by the process as
claimed in one of claims 1 to 6.
