English Abstract

ABSTRACT
Driving conditions during winter can be a hassle after a
snowfall, where vehicles are unable to move or steer away
from a stationary post. Once a vehicle is exposed to these
outdoor conditions, it becomes quite a frustration for the
driver being prone.
With this invention, helplessness and isolation are
eliminated with the aid of a portable drawing or pulling
mechanism utilizing a skid-like platform that prevents the
wheel of a vehicle from spinning, but rather roll along a
furrowed surface.

Claims

Note: Claims are shown in the official language in which they were submitted.

CLAIMS
The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive
property or previlege is claimed are defined as follows:
1. A manually manipulated instrument for propelling
stranded vehicles off an icy surface, snow, or mud,
consisting two planks placed directly under the vehicle
tires.
2. An instrument as defined in claim 1, in which tire
traction is enhanced by a board inserted underneath each
vehicle's front or rear tires, allowing a forward or
backward mobility in slippery surfaces.
3. An instrument as defined in claim 1 or 2 in which the
top and bottom face is grooved for added grip, eliminating
tire slippage, wheel spinning, and/or skidding that occurs
in snow or mud as a result.

Description

Note: Descriptions are shown in the official language in which they were submitted.

SPECIFICATIONS
'Traction Boards' is a portable device, so designed to
assist immobilized motorists, stranded due to inclement
snowfall, and its accumulation thereof.
It provides tire traction against snow covered vehicular
paths, particularly from a standing (parked) position where
it usually becomes practically impossible not to encounter
the common problems of wheel-spinning and/or skidding.
Currently, there are no known products available to fulfill
the need~ We nevertheless continue to struggle through with
the aid of others, perhaps with a push, or at the very
least, shovel ourselves out of the problem where feasible,
otherwise, we abandon.
This invention operates by simply lining the boards up ahead
or behind the two front wheel tires, or the two rear wheel
tires enabling a forward thrust, or converseiy, a reverse
motion if so desired.
The concept behind 'Traction Boards' i5 its ability to
generate steady pressure and the launching force created as
a result, which would not have been possible on any slippery
surface.
Research and Development tests for this product to date, has
time and again, proven a valuable convenience in navigating
over snow or ice covered roads.
In a market where there axe no existing alternatives, this
simple straight-forward novelty item goes a long way to
serve the needs of mankind, let alone desperate
circumstances, and emergency situations.

DRAWINGS
The attached drawings illustrates the 'Traction Boards'
which are to be inserted flat under the tires, right in
fxont, or right behind the front wheel or rear wheel drive
tires; and depending on the desi.red direction of pulli.ng
away.
The angled edge gives the re~uired lift or ricochet effect
at initial start-up, then continues on to the wrinkled top
surface of the board for added grip.
It is so re-designed that the bottom surface is ridged, and
the total weight equally sufficient in relation to the
specified length and width, which were found to be critical
factors to optimum efficiency.
The composition is preferably resin to accommodate
manufacturing advantages, however, wooden prototypes as
tested and as illustrated in drawings herewith, produced
identical results during testing.
Additionally, the manufacturing process via lumber resource
would make this product biodegradable. In any case, further
studies are being conducted.
No disclosures of any kind have been made to any individuals
or entity regarding this invention whatsoever.
Market research for said invention will be consideredO
