English Abstract


Abstract
The WRITE N' CALL is a telephone that enables the user to write out the name of
the place,person or business they are calling and if it is listed in their local
phonebook ,the WRITE N' CALL will dial it.
Should the user know the number he is calling,he needs not to write out the name
Just simply dial it as he normaly would.


Claims

The embodiment of the invention in which exclusive property
or privilege is claimed are defined as follows.
A. A telephone integrated with a pen based computer tablet
and a CD drive which enables the user to print the name which
he is calling and the system will access the CD drive and then
automatically make that call.
B. A telephone system as defined in claim A with the hand rest in
the up position enabling the user to a call as he would
normally do with a conventional phone.
C. A telephone system as defined in claim A,B showing the CD drive
where the user can insert the CD disk with the annual updated
data as in the telephone directory.

This invention is a telephone itegrated with a pen based computer tablet and an
internal CD ROM drive.A compact disk with a dahbase of a given cities
phonebook listings is inserted in the telephone via the CD drive.
Normally,an individual wanting to make a phone call,must either dial the number
that he knows by hart,push a pre programmed button, ask the operator for ~he
number or look it up in the phonebook.
With this invention,the individual wanting to make a call,simply writes the name
of the person or business tbey are cailing on ~e pen based tablet, he system
accesses the intemal CD ROM, finds the name or business listed,shows it on the
LCD screen ,i~ it'~ the correct one, It will dial It.The telephone company
can provide the compact disk to subwribers.

Figure A is a top view of the invention with the hand rest down
enabling the user to rest his hand on the telephone in order to write
the name on the pen based template.
Figure B is a top view of the invention with the hand rest up
enabling the user to dial a number as a conventional telephone.
Figure C is a side view of the invention showing the opening of the CD drive
where the compact disk is to be inserted.
Figure D shows a compact disk with a database of names phone numbers
addresses and advertising just as the telephonebook.
With the hand rest 1 down the user prepares to write the name of the party
who his calling by pressing button 2.The user then takes the special pen 3
and begins to write the name on the pen based template 4.
The system checks the pre loaded compact disk 5 with a database
of his local phonebook.
The unit shows the closest possible listing on the LCD screen 6.
The user may see the next possible listlng by pressing button 7.
Or the user may ask the unit to dial whats on the screen by pressing button 8.
The CD drive is shown as 9.
