Abstract
Slide valve for use as a bypass slide valve for medium
supplying pipes with a relatively large pressure compri-
sing a housing (11) with a pipe socket (15, 16) each at
the inlet side and at the outlet side and a sliding
plate (12) movable with a lifting rod (14) squarely to
the middle axis M of the pipe sockets wherein the inside
jacket of the pipe socket (15) at the inlet side is
conically tapered towards the sliding plate (12) wherein
the slide valve comprises a device (17, 17', 18, 18',
19, 19') for lifting the sliding plate (12, 13) in paral-
lel with the middle axis M to move the sliding plate
without wear.

Claims

Note: Claims are shown in the official language in which they were submitted.

- 7 -
The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive
property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:
1. Slide valve for use as a bypass slide valve for
medium supplying pipes with a relatively large
pressure comprising a housing (11) with a pipe
socket side and a sliding plate (12) movable with a
lifting rod (14) squarely to the middle axis M of
the pipe sockets,
c h a r a c t e r i z e d i n,
that the inside jacket of the pipe socket (15) at
the inlet side is conically tapered towards the
sliding plate (12).
2. Slide valve according to claim 1, characterized in
that the inside jacket of the pipe socket (15) is
inclined in relation to the middle axis M in an
angle of about 2° to 4°.
3. Slide valve according to claim 1 or 2, characterized
in that the largest inner diameter D of the pipe
socket (15) at the inlet side is about equal to the
inner diameter DA of the pipe socket (16) at the
outlet side.
4. Slide valve according to one of the preceding
claims, characterized in that the end of the pipe
socket (16) facing the sliding plate (12) comprises
a first annular seal (21) at the outlet side, and
that a second approximately annular seal (22) is

- 8 -
arranged at the sliding plate (12), the second seal
(22) sealingly cooperating with the first annular
seal in the closed position of the sliding plate
(12).
5. Slide valve according to claim 4, characterized in
that the seals (21, 22) are made of metallic materi-
al
6. Slide valve according to claim 5, characterized in
that the metallic material is stainless steel.
7. Slide valve according to claim 4, characterized in
that the first annular seal (21) consists of metal-
lic material and that the second annular seal (22)
consists of an elastic non-metallic material.
8. Slide valve according to claim 7, characterized in
that the elastic, non-metallic material is silicone
rubber.
9. Slide valve according to one of the preceding
claims, characterized in that the sliding plate (12)
comprises an approximately circular opening (13)
with the diameter thereof about equal to the
smallest inner diameter D' of the pipe socket (15)
at the inlet side.
10. Slide valve according to one of the preceding
claims, characterized by a device to move the
sliding plate (12) in parallel with the middle axis
M of the pipe socket.
11. Slide valve according to claim 10, characterized in
that the device comprises skid rails (17, 17')
arranged in parallel with the lifting rod (14) with
the skid rails slidingly encompassing the lateral

- 9 -
edges of the sliding plate (12), and that the skid
rails (17, 17') are movable in parallel with the
middle axis M by lifting devices (18, 18', 19, 19')
arranged at the housing (11).
12. Slide valve according to claim 10 or 11, characte-
rized in that the lifting devices (18, 18', 19, 19')
comprise at least two fluid operated lifting motors
for each skid rail (17, 17') with the piston rods of
the lifting motors connected with the skid rail (17,
17') and with the cylinders of the lifting motors
connected with the housing.
