2126I~
SPECIFICATION
This invention is a clip-on hanger cover ready for assembly
on any round metal or plastic hanger to achieve the following
objectives.
The object of this invention is to provide a large surface
area on the hanger to protect the shoulder area of garments
against the sharp corners of the plastic and wire hangers,
and also to eliminate creases which are caused by the weight
of the garment applying on the narrow surface area of the
common type hangers. The pressure developed by the weight of
the garment will cause the material strands to stretch during
the hanging period and leave a permanent crease. The larger
the surface area of the hanger the lower the pressure.
Force (Weight of the garment)
Pressure = ---------------------------------------
Suface area (Surface area provided by hanger)
Another object of the invention is to provide a forward angle
curvature on the hanger similar to human shoulders, to
preserve the natural shape of the garment during hanging
period.
Further object of this invention is to add more strength to
an ordinary hanger in order to make it usable for heavier
garments such as winter coats and heavy jackets.
It is still another object of the invention to create a
greater friction between the garment and the hanger to
prevent the garment from slipping off the hanger. This
objective is achieved by the wide surfacè area provided by
this item.
These objects of the presented invention will become readily
apparent as the following descriptions are read in
conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
