English Abstract

The background of this invention is improving the
usability of aluminum beer and beverage cans currently
manufactured with small openings. Although, this practice
widely established by manufacturers and consumer
as well, in my own experience, I found it using a cup
rather a suitable drinking ware beside the can to drink
the beer or beverage is always more pleasurable, healthy
and comfortable in terms of eliminating the air in
which, in most cases taken with the beer or beverage.
By inventing and installing this opening device on top
of aluminum beer or beverage cans will convert the can,
kind or aluminum drinking cup or rather suitable drinking
ware for the ocasion in which the beer or beverage
inside of the can will be available for drinking in
much more comfortable in terms of not lifting the head
as much and without loosing the original taste of beer
or beverage.

THE EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION IN WHICH AN EXCLUSIVE
PROPERTY OR PRIVILEGE IS CLAIMED ARE DEFINED AS FOLLOWS
1. Device for opening the entire top of large, regular
or small sizes aluminum beer and beverage cans has a
large holding part that has feature of having the
capacity of allowing one or two fingers in hole by
slightly lifting the device upward direction while
holding the can firmly in level in one hand, in the
same time, inserting fingers in hole, of other hand and
pulling, by doing this, opens the entire top of beer or
beverage aluminum cans from stamped round position
which has been stamped closest possible to the edge of
can, molded slightly deeper then entire top of beer or
beverage cans.
2. Taking into consideration that some percentage of
consumer would be preferring in purchasing beers or
beverages that are sold in cans with feature as defined
in Claim 1, then, having them manufactured and making
them available in retailers shelves for the consumer
selection beside the beers and beverages that are
currently manufactured and marketed with small openings

"Device for opening beer and beverage cans"
This invention relates, improvement of usability
of beer and beverage cans currently manufactured and
consumed by the consumer. It is known that currently
manufactured beer and beverage cans have small openings
although, in most cases it is satisfactory enough to
have that size of opening, however, if we carefully
analyze the procedure of drinking or rather swallowing
the beer or beverage from small opening on cans, you
must raise your head higher then normally if you would
be drinking from a drinking ware, it is also possible
that you might be getting some amount of air to your
system with beer or beverage while you are drinking. I
have always thought that by opening the entire top of
cans that are manufactured currently will improve the
usability of beer and beverage cans, with this idea, I
have invented the device as illustrated in drawing
(Figure 1). The main advantage of this device is having
large size pulling part (1) in which by inserting one
or two fingers in it will make the opening the entire
top of aluminum beer or beverage can easier, although,
first time user if not careful may spill the part of
beer or beverage, but, if by paying little attention
and holding the can firmly in level by one hand and
inserting one or two fingers of other hand by slightly
lifting and pulling upward the device will oPen the
entire top of can from the stamped round position (2).
The main advantage at this stage, having a beer or
baverage can converted to aluminum drinking ware, this
would give the user, drinking the beer or the beverage

without loosing it's original taste and aroma beside
other features previously mentioned, in addition to
this, the practicality of having this type of opening
will make the beer and beverage cans much more attrac -
tive and convenience to consumer in where great many of
people gathered in some special event that the consump-
tion is in great demand and the disposal is in some
degree of a problem and in some cases even hazardous. I
regret to mention that here in Ottawa, I remember in
seeing many broken beer bottles laying all over the
places on the streets of where the July 1st Canada Day
Celebrations are made while many children and adults
are in the same time, because of comfortability, walk -
ing around with open sandals type of footwear which is
obvious that if the person who wears these type of
footwear and is not careful especially in the evening,
could expect some unpleasant foot injuries.
Taking in to consideration that some percentage of
consumer would be preferring in purchasing beers or
beverages that are sold in cans with features as previ-
ously described with entire top openings, then, having
them available in retailers shelves for the consumer
selection beside the beers and beverages currently
manufactured and marketed with small openings would be
in my opinion, a wise decision.
