English Abstract

The invention relates to a container, i.e. a standardised transport container,
with a bottom surface (10) and a cover (18) removable from the bottom surface
(10) and forming the two side surfaces (12), the two faces (14) and the roof
surface (16). The cover (18) is constructed in one piece. Four uprights (20)
extending at right angles to the bottom are provided in the corners of the
container, and the upper ends of said uprights have a structure (22) fitted
with cargo handling gear. The uprights (20) are rigidly connected to the
bottom surface (10), and an engaging device is provided in the upper region of
said uprights for locking the uprights (20) to the cover (18) and unlocking
them therefrom. Alternatively, the uprights (20) are rigidly connected to the
cover (18), and an engaging device in the lower region of the uprights (20)
locks the uprights (20) to the bottom surface (10) and unlocks them therefrom.

The invention relate~ to a container, i e. a ~tandardized transportatlon
h~lng the features of the p~ea~ble of the independent claims 1 and 3.
Said container. kno~n fro~ DE ~3 00 354 Al, has the ad~antage that it a11Q~
lateral access to ~he 800ds transported on displacing the hood or cover.
It as ~4t po~ible to grip the contalner with loading tackle acti~g ~ro~
above .
~he p~oble~ of the invention is to provide a container ~hlch can be carried
by loading tackle acting f~om above and ~ich is equipped with a removable
cover.
Aceordlng to the inventio~, this proble~ is ~olved in a first ;.}~1 . t by
the!~eature of claim 1 and in a second embodiment by the featu~es o~ claim
3 : ~he ~ubclaims contain advantageo~s deve~opments o~ the inventlon~
In both embodi~ent3, on ralsin~ the container by mean~ of loadln~ tackle
acting fro~ above, the force is applied via ~truts to the load-carryin~
bot~om surface, ~o that there i no loading on the cQver.
The lnve~tion is descrlbed ln ~reater detaiL he~ein~fter relative to the
attached drawinss, wherein ~how:

Fi~ 3 3hows that in the flr~c embodi~ent repre~ented in fig~. 1 to 3, the
upper ~nd~ of the struts cooperate wQth an unlocking linkage 24, whlch is
fir,mly conhected to the not xho~n cover. The funct~on of th~Y unloc~ln~
11 mk~8e 24 iS to use a not ~hown loading tac~le to either raise t~e entire
co~tainer when ~he linkage 24 is locked in ~he upper ends of the struts 20 ~
or to ~e~ely raise the cov~ 18 an unlocking the linkage 24 by ,~nl1~1 actu-
atlan ~ the reversing lever 26, so that the bottom 3uL~a~e 16 of the con-
tainer is freely acces~ihle fro~ all sides The unlocking linkage 24 is
so con~t~ucted that when the reversing le~er ~6 is not actuated ~t brings
abau~ ~ locking of t~e cover 18 wiCh the struts 20. ~hlch are only raised
by and during ~n actuatlon of the reversing lever 26.
In the ~econd emhodiment shown in fig. h, the ~tr-t~ 20 are fir~ly connected
to the cove~ 18 The lo~er end~ of the struts ZO cooperate wlth an unlock-
ing l~kage 24 lacated in thc ~lcini~ of the bottom sur~ace lO. In this
embodlment, the unlocklng linkage Z4 makes it pQs~ible to un~ock the s~ruts
20 fro~ the state locked to the bo~tom surface 10, where the entire con-
Cainer, when using a no~ shown loading tackle c~n be raised i~ the upper
area Of the struts ZO, so that the loading tackle only raises the cover 1~,
together wlth the stru~s 20~ and renders the bottom surface lO of the ~on-
tainer freely ~ccessible from ~11 side~
Other tha~ what is ~hown ~n t~e drawings, the ~trut~ and, in the ~ir~t
embodlment the co~er ln ~he vlcinity of its lower corners, or in the second
embodi~nt the bottom surface in the vlcinit~ of its upwardly pointing
corne~, can ~e outwardly bevelle~, in oLder to facilitate the bringing
together of the part~.
