THE HoLiS ICICLE
The Home Li ting stem
The 'HoLiS Icicle' is a decorative device for the exterior of houses. It is
easily installed and removed, for the wintertime, and simulates icicles
hanging from
the eaves trough. The units are either clear or frosted plastic and can be
illuminated
by the attachment of outdoor lights. Since they attach to the soffits of a
roof, and
the lights attach to them; the icicles overcome separate attachment of
lighting to the
roof.
They are made of molded plastic, with a drain hole, and can be formed in
many different shapes and sizes. Fig. 1 shows the unit from the side and the
top.
Fig. 2 shows a view from the back with one light from a string attached.
Fig. 3 shows a side view with light attached; and Fig. 4 shows the same view
without the light.
Fig. 5 is a top view with the clip in place, showing the position of the light
holder directly over the centre of the icicle. Fig. 6 is the same view from
the top but
the clip is s~ through and in outline only.
Figs. ?,8 and 9 show a few of the variations in shape of the bottom of the
icicle with the clip removed..
Figs 10 and 11 show a formed icicle grouping.
Since these icicles (singles and groupings) may be formed in any size or
shape, the only uniform part would be the attachment to the soffit.
