MULTI-DIRECTIONAL SWIVEL TYPE EXERCISING DEVICE
The present invention relates to a mufti-directional swivel type
exercising device, and more particularly to a mufti-directional wivel type
exercising device including a handle structure that may provide a better
bending curve; and may have a variation of various angles.
A conventional hand holding type exercising device in accordance
with the prior art comprises handgrips and a spring mounted between the
handgrips. The user's one hand may hold and press the handgrips to flex and
bend the spring, thereby exercising the user's hand: However, the conventional
hand holding type exercising device uses a single spring; so that the bent
angle
is too small, and the spring easily clips and injure the user.
The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a
mufti-directional swivel type exercising device including a handle structure
that may provide a better bending curve, and may have a variation of various
angles.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide a
mufti-directional swivel type exercising device that may be operated and
swiveled by the user's two hands or one hand. -
A further objective of the present invention; is to provide a
mufti-directional swivel type exercising device; wherein the usage angles of
the two handles may be-adjusted respectively according o the user's practical
requirements; thereby capable of exercising he user's whole body.
In accordance with the present invention, there i's provided a
mufti-directional- swivel type exercising device; cornprtsing a movable bent

rod, two handles, two elastic positioning members, and tv~o rotatable wheels;
the multi-directional swivel type exercising device further comprising two
springs each having a first end secured-on each ofthe two ends of the movable
bent rod; and two connecting tubes each mounted in a second end of each of
the two springs, wherein:
each of the connecting tubes has a periphery formed with a snapping
hole, each of the two elastic positioning members 'is mounted in each of the
connecting tubes, and is provided with a locking stub that may be protruded
outward from the snap hole of each of he connecting tubes, each of the two
handles has a f rst end provided with a mounting end mounted on each of the
connecting tubes; the mounting end of each of the two handles is formed with
multiple adjusting holes, so that when the mounting end of each of the two
handles is mounted on each of the connecting tubes, the locking stub of each
of
the two elastic positioning members may be napped into and locked in one of
the adjusting holes of the mounting end of each of the two handles, each of
the
two handles has a second end provided with a locking end; each of the two
rotatable wheels is rotatably mounted on each of the two handles, and is
provided with a bushing mounted on the locking end of each of he two handles,
so that a determined distance is defined between each of the two handles and
each of the two rotatable wheels; he mufti-directional swivel type exercising
device further comprises two locking members each extended through each of
the two rotatable wheels, and each locked in the locking end of each of the
two
handles, thereby mounting each of he two rotatable wheels on each of the two
handles.

The multi-direcrional swivel type exercising device further
comprises a protective jacket which is mounted on the outside of the movable
bent rod to enclose the two springs.
Preferably, each of the connecting tubes has ,an outer wall formed
with an annular groove; and the mounting end of each of the two handles has
an inner wall provided with a snapping boss that may be snapped into the
annular groove of each of the connecting tubes.

type exercising device as shown in Fig; 4 in use; and
Fig. 10 is a 'schematic operational view of the multi-directional
swivel type exercising device as shown in Fig. 4 in use.
Referring to the drawings and initially to Figs: 1-3, a
mufti-directional swivel type exercising device in accordance with a preferred
embodiment of the present invention comprises a movable bent rod I; two
handles 2, two elastic positioning members 3; two rotatable wheels 4, and a
protective jacket 6.
The movable bent rod 1 has two ends each bent inward. The
mufti-directional swivel type exercising device further comprises two springs
l 1 each having a first-end secured on each ofthe two ends of the movable bent
rod 1; and two connecting tubes I2 each mounted in a second end.of each of
the two springs l 1. .
The protective jacket 6 is mounted on the outside of the movable bent
rod 1 to enclose the two springs Ll, so as to protect user when the springs 11
are bent and tensioned, thereby preventing the user from being injured by the
deformed springs 11.
Each of the connecting tubes 12 has a periphery formed with a
snapping hole 121, and has an outer wall formed with an annular groove I22.
Each of the two elastic positioning members 3 is a substantially
Vahaped elastic plate, and is mounted in eachof the connecting tubes 12: Each

~ 02381644 2002-04-12
of the two elastic positioning members 3 is provided with a°locking
stub 31 that
may be protruded outward from the snap hole 121 of each of the connecting
tubes 12.
Each of the two handles 2 has a first end provided with a mounting
end 21 mounted on each of the connecting tubes 12: The mounting end 21 of
each of the two handles 2 is formed with multiple adjusting holes 211, so that
when the mounting end 21 of each of he two handles 2 is mounted on ,each of
the connecting tubes l2, the locking stub 31 of each of the two elastic
positioning members 3 maybe snapped into and locked in one of the adjusting ,
holes 2I1 of the mounting end 21 of each of the two handles 2.
The mounting end 21 of each of the two handles 2 has an inner wall
provided with a snapping boss 212 that rnay be snapped into the annular
groove 122 of each of the connecting tubes 12. Thus; when the locking stub 31
of each of the two elastic positioning members 3 is pressed inward to detach
from one of the adjusting holes 211 of the mounting end 21 of eachof the two
handles 2; the mounting end 21 of each of the two handles 2 may be rotated
relative to each of the connecting tubes l2, so that the locking stub 31 of
each
of the two elastic positioning members 3 may be snapped into and locked in
another adjusting hole 2l 1 of the mounting end 21 of each of the two handles
2,
so as to adjust the angle of each of the two handles 2. When the mounting end
21 of each of the two handles 2 is rotated relative to each of the connecting
tubes 12; the snapping boss 212 of the mounting end 21 of each of the two
handles 2 may be moved in the annular groove 12 2 of each of the connecting

tubes 12, thereby facilitating rotation of the mounting end ~ 1 of each of the
two
handles 2.
Each of the two handles 2 has a second end provided with a locking
end 22. Each of he two rotatable wheel 4 is rotatably mounted on each of the
two handles 2; and is provided with a bushing mounted on the locking end 22
of each of the two handles 2, so that a determined distance is defined between
each of he two handles 2 and each of the two rotatable wheels 4; thereby .
facilitating the user holding the two rotatable wheels 4.
The mufti-directional swivel type exercising device further
comprises two locking members 5such as bolts; each extended hrough each
of the two rotatable wheels 4; and each locked in the locking end 22 of
each'of
the two handles 2; thereby mounting each of the two rotatable wheels 4 on each
of the two handles 2.
Referring to Figs. 4-8, each of the two handles 2 may be
mufti-directionally changed into various angles, so that the user may operate
the two handles 2 in different angles according to his requirements, so as to
exercise his arms, hands, abdomen; chest and the like:
Referring to F'ig. 9; the two handles 2 are juxtaposed with each other,
so that the mufti-directional wivel type exercising device in accordance with
the present invention are fully bent inward: Thus; the two springs 22 of the
movable bent rod I may be flexed to approach a filly circular curve, so that
the
mufti-directional swivel type exercising device may enclose the user's neck or
waist; without clipping or injuring he user, thereby providing safety in use.
