English Abstract

The roller drill pipe protector is designed for drill pipes which used to
during drilling oil & gas
wells. The mean features of this design are to first; decrease casing wear and
string torque &
drag. Secondly, it helps to transfer the max. Weight on bit possible, rather
than to loss it due to
friction & drag in between drill string and well wall or casing. In addition.
Thirdly; it absorbs
drill string shocks.

Claims

Note: Claims are shown in the official language in which they were submitted.

Claims:
The embodiments of the invention in an exclusive property or privilege is
claimed are defined as
follows:
1-A roller drill pipe protector "figure 1 ", comprising cylindrical geometry
body steel, different sizes of
metal or rigged rubber balls, inside body rubber cushion, grip built in bolt
screws
2-A tool as defined in claim 3 , in which the cylindrical geometry body
supports the rolling balls and
grapping around drill pipe body in 360 degree.
3-A tool as defined in claim 1, in which the rolling balls acts in between the
roller drill pipe protector
and casing wall as a rolling elements.
4-A tool as defined in claim 1, in which the rubber cushion inside the roller
drill pipe protector absorbs
the shocks affecting the tool while drilling operations.
5-A tool as defined in claim 1, in which the grips built in bolt screws used
to tighten the roller drill pipe
protector body around the drill pipe body using screw bolt. This kind of
fixing method for the roller
drill pipe protector is subject to change by another design or method in the
future.

Specification
-Invention overview:
The roller drill pipe protector design involved with decrease casing wear &
torque and drag,
shocks problems affected drill string.
Disadvantages of present drill pipe protector:
-The current kinds of drill pipe protector is made from rigged rEZbber causing
increasing torque
and drag, also it's so easy to brake out and lost in hole which causing stuck
pipe inside casing.
-It acts as a rigged component on the drill pipe, result in no shocks
absorption.
Advantages of roller drill pipe t~rotector design:
-Decreasing casing wear:
It adapt drill pipe to rolling inside casing instead of friction movements
while sliding or rotary mode
Operations.
-Decreasing torque & drag and shocks absorption:
It Lift up the drill pipe's tool joint off casing wall and decreases the metal
area contact in between drill
pipe and casing, which result in drill pipe more free to rotate and transfer
more weight on bit while
movements down or tripping out. It decreases the cross sectional area in
between drill pipe and casing
or well wall, result in decreasing shocks affecting drill string while rotary
mode.
