CA 02710896 2010-07-22
AXIAL FLOW FAN FOR EXTERNAL ROTOR
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The invention relates to an axial flow fan for an external rotor.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] A typical structure for a conventional axial flow fan for an external
rotor is that an
air blade is welded with external surface of a housing of the external rotor.
However,
requirements for a welding position and a welding direction of the air blade
are high, and
a high-level welding technology is needed, which cause inconvenient operation,
high
production cost and low production efficiency. Another structure for an axial
flow fan for
an external rotor employs a groove disposed on outer surface of the housing of
the
external rotor for receiving the air blade, but installation of this axial
flow fan is not
reliable.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0003] In view of the above-described problem, it is one objective of the
invention to
provide an axial flow fan for an external rotor that features simple
assembling, high
production efficiency, reliable connection, and low production cost.
[0004] The invention is implemented as follows:
[0005] An axial flow fan for an external rotor, comprising an axial flow
blade, a support,
and an external rotor motor, wherein the support comprises an annular cylinder
and
multiple installation pins extended from the outside of the annular cylinder,
and the axial
flow blade is disposed on the installation pin, and the annular cylinder is
fit on an

external rotor of the external rotor motor.
[0006] The annular cylinder is integrally formed, or formed by an annular body
with an
opening.
[0007] Inner wall of the annular cylinder is interference-fit with outer wall
of the external
rotor.
[0008] A screw hole is disposed on the installation pin, and the axial flow
blade is
disposed on the installation pin via nuts and bolts.
[0009] A through hole is disposed on the installation pin, and the axial flow
blade is
disposed on the installation pin via riveting.
[0010] The axial flow blade is disposed on the installation pin via welding.
[0011] The axial flow blade is disposed on the installation pin via buckling.
[0012] The annular cylinder and the installation pin are integrally formed, or
the annular
cylinder is connected to the installation pin via welding, buckling, or
riveting.
[0013] An external convex ring is disposed between the annular cylinder and
the
installation pin
[0014] Advantages of the invention are: the annular cylinder on the support is
fit on the
housing of the external rotor of the external rotor motor, and the inner wall
of the annular
cylinder is interference-fit with the outer wall of the external rotor, which
implement
simple assembling, reliable connection, high production efficiency, low
requirement for
workers, and low production cost; the external convex ring disposed between
the annular
cylinder and the installation pin is capable of increasing radial dimension
and ensuring
stable force transfer.
