English Abstract

A biological wave health napkin or health pad has laminar structure. The
laminar structure is made up of the following
laminas from top to bottom: a reticular water-leading lamina (1), an
antimicrobial functional mixed lamina (2), a water-absorbing
lamina (3), a water proof membrane lamina (4) and an adhesive lamina (5). Each
lamina is adhered and rigidly jointed
with another one through thermosol. The reticular lamina (1) is a reticular
water-transmitted lamina of non-woven cloth. The
antimicrobial functional mixed lamina (2) is made by adding antimicrobial
functional mixed material powder into wood pulp paper
or fiber cotton. The functional material is a kind of powder to irradiate a
biological wave with a wavelength of 4-14µm and an
irradiation rate of over 85% at body temperature.

BIOLOGICAL WAVE HEALTH NAPKIN OR HEALTH PAD

Field of the Invention

This invention relates to a new type of health napkin or health pad for women,
more particularly, relates to a new type of biological wave health napkin or
health
pad.

Background Art

During menstruation, due to changes of hormone in the woman's body, acidity in
the vagina decreases, so that women are easy to infect various pathogens to
cause
inflammation. Therefore, in this technical field there is still a thorny
problem of how
to develop a new type of health napkin or health pad, which has effective and
lasting
action of anti-inflammation and inflammation elimination to prevent against
gynecological diseases by women's using during menstruation. In China Patent
No.
200520112152.7 issued on November, 29, 2006, entitled "A Type of Biological
Wave
Health Napkin or Health Pad", there exist problem of significantly increasing
the
production cost and problem in production process. Furthermore, the
menstruation
blood can not be absorbed rapidly by water-absorbing lamina. The present
invention
addresses this problem.

Contents of the Invention

The present invention aims at seeking for a new solution to overcome the
existing technological defect. Comparing with the previous patent of utility
model
"A Type of Biological Wave Health Napkin or Health Pad" (supra), the present
invention saves production cost and procedure. It may produce biological wave
by
increasing temperature of the site of the health napkin contacting the human
body, so

CA 02752593 2011-08-15
WO 2009/100589 PCT/CN2008/000357
as to provide antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory healthcare functions for the
human
body and this effect lasts long.

In order to resolve the thorny problem described above, the following
technical
strategies have been adopted in the present invention:

The present inventive biological wave health napkin or health pad is laminar
structure which includes, from top to bottom, reticular water-leading lamina,
antimicrobial functional mixed lamina, water-absorbing lamina, waterproof
membrane lamina and adhesive lamina. The reticular water-leading lamina is
non-woven cloth material lamina, in which is added a kind of material to
dredge the
blood vessel rapidly. The functional lamina is made up of a powder of mixed
material with antimicrobial function, which has been added into fiber non-
woven
cloth or wood pulp paper. Each lamina is rigidly jointed with another through
thermosol.

The functional material described above is a kind of ceramics powder, -glacier
stone or powder of nano-silver ion material.

The antimicrobial material in the antimicrobial lamina may be nano-grade metal
oxides, such as titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, silver oxide, and so on. In
particular, it
is nano-grade powder of titanium dioxide or nano-silver powder in the present

invention.
The functional lamina described above is at least smaller than other laminas
in
breadth, and is placed in the middle of the laminar structure.

For the inventive wave health napkin or health pad, when contacting the human
body to acquire heat, the functional material in the functional powder lamina
of the
functional structure can be stimulated to produce an irradiation wave. The
biological
wave may produce resonance with the heat wave irradiated by the human body to
the
outer environment, which can promote blood circulation and level of biological
enzymes, increase acid secretion, and can inhibit proliferation and invasion
of
2

WO 2009/100589 PCT/CN2008/000357
pathogens by nano-silver ion to enhance self-protection function of women.

When using the inventive biological wave health napkin or health pad, the
menstruation blood may flow unto the health napkin or health pad, and be led
by the
reticular lamina to meet with the metal oxide on the antimicrobial functional
lamina
rapidly. The functional lamina produces biological wave and negative oxygen
ion
rapidly under the significantly increased temperature and humidity, such that
the
metal ions in free form bind to cells with pathogen rapidly which make the
cells
unable to survive. After killing the pathogen, the silver ion may move out of
the
cells again to kill other pathogen cells continuously. Such procedure occurs
repeatly.
Therefore, this type of health napkin or health pad has lasting antimicrobial
action,
and can not induce resistance to reduce antimicrobial action.

The antimicrobial functional mixed lamina of the present inventive health
napkin
or health pad integrates antimicrobial lamina and functional healthcare lamina
and is
set in the middle of its laminar structure. Thus, it can not only increase
direction of
its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action site, but also reduce use level
of the
antimicrobial functional mixed lamina, and so in some area of this napkin the
antimicrobial functional mixed lamina is not necessarily set to decrease the
production cost. Moreover, the menstruation blood may be absorbed rapidly
through
water-leading lamina and the functional mixed lamina due to the addition of
water-leading function and the simplification of the structure in front of the
water-absorbing lamina.

Examples

The inventive biological wave health napkin or health pad (See Fig. l) is a
laminar structure (See Fig. 2), which include, from top to bottom, the
reticular
water-leading lamina 1, the antimicrobial functional mixed lamina 2, the
water-absorbing lamina 3, the waterproof membrane lamina 4 and the adhesive
lamina 5. The reticular lamina 1 is made of water-leading material set in non-
woven
cloth; the functional lamina 2 is a wood pulp paper or fiber cotton sheet of
high-density, which contains micro-scale ceramics powder, glacier stone
functional
material or powder of metal nano-oxide antimicrobial material, said functional
material may irradiate a biological wave useful for human body under body
temperature, and has antimicrobial action and microbial killing action.

The antimicrobial functional mixed lamina 2 is smaller than other laminas in
both breadth and length and is set in the middle of the laminar structure.

Each lamina described above is rigidly jointed with another with thermosol.
Finally, it should be stated that the embodiments described above is only used
for
specifying this present invention, but not for limiting the technological
solutions of
the present invention. Therefore, though the embodiments described above in
this
specification are referred to describe the present invention in detail, those
of skilled in
the art should understand that the present invention can still be changed or
replaced
equivalently. All technological solutions or its improvement not escaping from
the
principle and scope of the present invention should be included in the claims
of the
present invention.
