CA 02857573 2014-07-21
Custom (or stock) designs printed on special transfer paper that resemble a
coloring page.
The designs are printed in reverse (using screen printing technology and
specialty plastisol inks) and
people (often children) color in the design(s) with special crayons (oil
pastels) that we supply. Black
plastisol ink is used (for the design outlines and border) and a clear
plastisol ink is used as a protective
coating that seals the oil pastel in place.
Once the design(s) are colored, they are then transferred onto t-shirts,
hoodies, bandanas, etc (most
fabrics) using a commercial heat press.
The garments are typically pressed at 350 degrees for 15 seconds, the garment
is left to cool for about
seconds and then the paper is peeled off leaving behind the colored image.
The garments can then be worn/used by the individual.
