1
CLOSURE DEVICE FOR BOTTLES
The present invention generally relates generally to a
cap or closure device for bottles, for example bottles
of cosmetic products, such as shampoo and shower-gel.
Such cosmetic products, such as shampoo, bubble bath,
shower-gel, etc., are usually available within shaped
bottles and/or tubular elements, which are closed by a
respective cap or closure device, said closure device
being screwed onto the threaded neck of the bottle or
being inserted with pressure on the outside of the
bottle's neck and having an inner seal.
However, in addition to the fact that there are many
problems for positioning said bottles on the shelves of
a bath tub or in a shower (because of the restricted
space with respect to the products placed on the
available surfaces of a bathroom), the use of said
bottles has more significant drawbacks, such as, for
example, the accumulation of moisture and water drops
on the entire surface of the bottle, including the cap,
which determines poor hygienic conditions and the
proliferation of mildew and bacteria in the
environment, as well as serious difficulties for taking
the bottle with safety and for opening the bottle in
order to use the product.
Moreover, it is more and more felt the need to lighten
the structure of the whole bottle and of the single
closure device, so as to reduce more and more the costs
of production.
The main object of the present invention is therefore
to provide a closure device for bottles, for example of

2
cosmetic products, which allows to lighten the structure of
the entire bottle, while offering a pleasant appearance to the
product.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a closure
device for bottles, for example of cosmetic products, which
allows a considerable easiness for taking the bottle, as well
as a relevant easiness for taking the product contained inside,
with respect to the prior art mode.
A further object of the invention is to provide a closure
device for bottles, for example of cosmetic products, which is
extremely ergonomic and which is made at low costs, with
respect to the prior art.
These and other objects are achieved by a closure device for
bottles, for example of cosmetic products, according to the
present disclosure; other technical features are provided in
what follows.
Advantageously, the closure device according to the invention,
which can be screwed onto the threaded neck of the bottle or
which can be inserted with pressure on the neck of the bottle,
allows to simplify the use of the bottles of cosmetic products,
as well as to lighten the structure of the closure device and
of the whole bottle, with advantages both in terms of easiness
of molding and in terms of reduction of total costs, with
respect to the prior art.
Furthermore, the present invention allows to get a lower
environmental impact, as well as a noticeable reduction in the
total costs of the package.
The above objects and advantages and others which will be
mentioned in the following discussion will be more

clear form the following description, which refers to a
plurality of preferred embodiments of the closure
device for bottles, for example of cosmetic products,
according to the present invention, and from the
related enclosed drawings, in which:
- figure 1 shows a first embodiment of a closure device
for bottles, for example of cosmetic products,
according to the present invention;
- figure 2 shows a second embodiment of a closure
device for bottles, for example of cosmetic products,
according to the invention;
- figure 3 shows a third embodiment of a closure device
for bottles, for example of cosmetic products,
according to the invention.
With reference to the mentioned figures, the closure
device or cap 10 for bottles, for example of cosmetic
products, which is the object of the present invention,
comprises a main body 11, the lower portion of which
ha is coupled to the threaded neck of the bottle or is
inserted with pressure in the neck of said bottle and
whose upper portion 11b has at least one hole or
opening 12 for discharging the cosmetic product.
A shaped tag 13, which is usually coupled to the main
body 11 by means of a hinge-shaped plastic element,
also constitutes a cover of the upper portion llb of
the body 11 and is used for the hermetic closure of the
body 11 and therefore of the bottle.
Said shaped tag 13 may have the same shape and/or the
same surface of the upper portion 11b of the body 11
and can be made as a single piece or in one piece with
said body 11.

According to the present invention, the peripheral
portion 14, which is part of the body 11 and which
extends externally to the bottom portion 11a so as to
entirely lean against the outer wall of the bottle's
neck, is lightened because one or more holes, slits or
shaped through-openings 15 are provided.
In particular, said holes, slits or through-openings 15
can be made on the entire peripheral portion 14 or on
parts of the same and can have any geometric shape.
Specifically, holes 15 can also be provided, whose
arrangement creates figures or designs on the
peripheral portion 14 (said figures or designs can also
be detachable from the portion 14), in order to enhance
the pleasantness of the aesthetic appearance of the
bottle and/or for fun purposes; said holes or openings
15 can also be made so as to create the shape of a
single letter and thereby to form complete words on the
whole peripheral portion 14 of the closure device 10.
In other embodiments of the invention, said holes,
slits or through-openings 15 may also be provided on
the upper portion lib of the body 11 and/or on the
shaped tag 13.
Additionally, one or more of said holes, slits or
openings 15 can be used as coupling means for placing
the bottle on a wall.
Said slits or through-openings 15 have the advantage of
downloading water or however allow water and moisture
that accumulates on the outer walls and on the cap of
the bottle, due to the normal exposure of the bottle to
the water jets, to flow, thus avoiding the stagnation
of water and moisture and avoiding mildew and/or

bacteria.
Moreover, a more secure grip of the bottle is ensured
for the user, thus avoiding falls of the bottle and any
falls of the product contained inside.
5 Finally, since all portions of the closure device 10,
such as the main body 11, the peripheral portion 14 and
the shaped tag 13, can be made with plastic material,
such as for example ABS and/or PP, said portions are
particularly water-resistant and water-washable, as
well as they are able to dry quickly and they are
available in various colors.
From the above description the features of the closure
device for bottles, for example of cosmetic products,
which is the object of the present invention, are clear
as well as the related advantages are clear.
In particular, the main advantages are the following:
- easiness of taking and using the bottle;
- ergonomics and easiness of using the bottle;
- possibility of using the closure device on bottles of
different types, shapes and sizes;
- absence of any risk to the user resulting from any
falls of the product contained within the bottle;
- lightened structure;
- absence of moisture and mildew on the bottle;
- easiness of molding the bottle;
- pleasant appearance and ability to get drawings or
detachable figures for fun purposes;
- possibility of using the openings as hooking means
for hanging the bottle;
- low production costs with respect to the prior art;
- low environmental impact;

- low total costs of the package, with respect to the
prior art.
It is finally clear that other variations can be made
to the closure device of the invention, without
departing from the principles of novelty inherent in
the inventive idea as claimed in the appended claims;
it is also clear that in the practical implementation
of the invention, the materials, shapes and dimensions
of the technical details may be any according to
requirements and these may be replaced with other
technically equivalent, without departing from the
relevant scope as defined by the appended claims.
