English Abstract

The present invention relates to a hammer, comprising a hammer head and a
handle
permanently connected to the hammer head both of which are made of a titanium
alloy
material, wherein the grip portion of the handle is coated with an anti-slip
sleeve which is
disposed with first anti-slip lines on the surface and a recess at one end
close to the hammer
head, and the recess is disposed with second anti-slip lines on the surface
which are finer
and denser than the first anti-slip lines; in operation, users grip the
handle, with their thumbs
stretching and just pressing on the recess. The hammer not only has high
rigidity with light
weight, but also is easy to hold.

A HAMMER
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] Technical Field
[0002] The present invention relates to a hammer, belonging to the technical
field of hand tools.
[0003] Description of Related Art
[0004] As a hand tool commonly used in daily life and work, a hammer is used
for beating
objects to move or deform them and most commonly used to beat nails, correct
or beat objects open.
Comprising a hammer head and a handle, a hammer has different forms such as
claw hammer, wedge
hammer and round-head hammer according to the shape of the hammer head.
Usually, the hammer head and the handle are removable structure, with the
hammer head made of a
variety of steel materials, so there are at least two shortcomings: 1) the
hammer head is no longer
firmly fixed to the handle and comes off easily after use for a long period;
2) the steel hammer head
is relatively heavy.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0005] The aim of the present invention is to overcome the defects of the
prior art mentioned
above by providing a hammer which is light, highly rigid and easy to hold.
[0006] In order to solve the above-mentioned technical problems, the present
invention
provides a technical solution as below: a hammer, comprising a hammer head and
a handle fixedly
connected to the hammer head both of which are made of a titanium alloy
material, wherein the grip
portion of the handle is coated with an anti-slip sleeve which is disposed
with first anti-slip lines on
the surface and a recess at one end close to the hammer head, and the recess
is disposed with second
anti-slip lines on the surface which are finer and denser than the first anti-
slip lines; in operation,
users grip the handle, with their thumbs stretching and just pressing on the
recess.
[0007] In the invention, the anti-slip sleeve is made of silicon rubber or
soft plastics.

CA 02947708 2016-11-07
[0008] The beneficial effects of the present invention are as below: 1) the
hammer head is made
of a titanium alloy material which ensures its rigidity while reducing the
weight of the hammer,
making it light and easy to carry; besides, it also has a plurality of
features such as high strength and
good corrosion and heat resistance thanks to the property of the titanium
alloy, so that it can be used
in complex environments. 2) The anti-slip sleeve is disposed with a recess
which is disposed with
second anti-slip lines; when users grip the handle, their thumbs stretch and
just press on the recess,
so that they are able to apply their full strength with their thumbs pressing
the handle, thus preventing
the hand from slipping when users swing the handle.
[0009] On the premise of ensuring the rigidity of the hammer, the above-
mentioned technical
solution can be improved in the aspects as below in order to further reduce
the weight of the hammer:
1) the handle is disposed with several holes which are located between the
anti-slip sleeve and the
hammer head. 2) The cross section of the part of the handle between the anti-
slip sleeve and the
hammer head is H-shaped.
[0010] In order to ensure the connection strength between the anti-slip sleeve
and the handle,
the above-mentioned technical solution can be improved in the aspects as
below: 1) the grip portion
of the handle is disposed with several barbs so that the handle does not
loosen and come off easily
once the handle is inserted into the anti-slip sleeve. 2) The anti-slip sleeve
is disposed with interior-
convex lines on the internal surface and a through-air passage formed between
the lines and the handle
surface extends to the outside of the anti-slip sleeve, so that when the
handle is inserted into the anti-
slip sleeve in installation, vacuum cannot be formed between the internal
surface of the anti-slip
sleeve and the surface of the handle, which prevents great resistance and
improves convenience of
installation; when users grip the anti-slip sleeve of an assembled hammer, the
lines and the handle
surface will be closely attached under the pressure applied by users on the
anti-slip sleeve, thus
achieving an anti-slip effect.
[0011] Preferably, the first anti-slip lines are distributed in a V, Y,
diamond, slanted, parallel,
nine square shape or other shapes.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWINGS
[0012] The present invention is further detailed in combination with the
drawings as below.
[0013] FIG. 1 is a structural diagram of an embodiment of the present
invention.
[0014] FIG. 2 is an exploded diagram of an embodiment of the present
invention.
[0015] In figures: hammer head 1; handle 2; anti-slip sleeve 3; first anti-
slip lines 4; recess 5;
holes 6; barbs 7; screws 8.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0016] Embodiments
[0017] As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, a hammer of the present invention,
comprising a hammer
head 1 and a handle 2 fixedly connected to the hammer head 1 both of which are
made of a titanium
alloy material, wherein the grip portion of the handle 2 is coated with an
anti-slip sleeve 3, and the
grip portion of the handle 2 and the anti-slip sleeve 3 are fixed via screws 8
or bolts. The anti-slip
sleeve 3 is made of silicon rubber or soft plastics.
[0018] The anti-slip sleeve 3 is disposed with first anti-slip lines 4 on the
surface and a recess
at one end close to the hammer head 1, and the recess 5 is disposed with
second anti-slip lines on
the surface which are finer and denser than the first anti-slip lines 4; in
operation, the users grip the
handle 2, with their thumbs stretching and just pressing on the recess 5. The
first anti-slip lines 4 are
distributed in a V, Y, diamond, slanted, parallel, nine-square shape or other
shapes.
The embodiment can also be improved in the aspects as below:
[0019] 1) the handle 2 is disposed with several holes 6 which are located
between the anti-slip
sleeve 3 and the hammer head I.
[0020] 2) the cross section of the part of the handle 2 between the anti-slip
sleeve 3 and the
hammer head 1 is H-shaped.
3

CA 02947708 2016-11-07
[0021] 3) the grip portion of the handle 2 is disposed with several barbs 7.
[0022] 4) the anti-slip sleeve 3 is disposed with interior-convex lines on the
internal surface and
a through-air passage formed between the lines and the handle 2 surface
extends to the outside of the
anti-slip sleeve.
[0023] The above-mentioned embodiment is not intended to limit the present
invention, and
other embodiments of the present invention can also be implemented in addition
to the above
embodiment. Any technical solutions provided from equivalent substitutions or
changes are all
included in the protection scope of the present invention.
