CA 03002795 2018-04-20
PERMING SOLUTION ABSORBING TOWEL
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present invention relates to a perming solution absorbing towel,
and more
particularly, to a perming solution absorbing towel that may easily be
fastened around
the neck to prevent dripping.
BACKGROUND ART
[0002] As well known, during perming, a perming solution absorbing towel is
fastened
around the neck to absorb a hair dye or a perming solution such as a
neutralizing
agent flowing down from the hair. In particular, such perming solution
absorbing towels
are used at hair shops.
[0003] As shown in FIG. 1, such a perming solution absorbing towel may be used
as
follows: a hairdresser puts a towel 10 around the neck of a person before
perming and
then fastens the towel 10 to the neck by pulling corner portions 11 and 12 of
both end
sides of the towel 10 and tying the corner portions 11 and 12 using a rubber
band 13.
[0004] Thereafter, a neutralizing agent hair tray 20 is put around the neck,
and a
perming solution or the like is applied to the hair.
[0005] Therefore, a portion of the perming solution flowing down along the
scalp is
absorbed in the towel 10 wrapped around the neck, and a portion of the perming
solution flowing along the hair is received in the neutralizing agent hair
tray 20.
[0006] However, when the towel 10 is used, it is cumbersome to prepare an
additional
rubber band 13 for fastening the towel 10, and as time goes by after the towel
10 is put
around the neck, the neck may be wet with the perming solution flowing down
along
the scalp because a center portion 14 of the towel 10 is often moved down
below a
portion 21 of the neutralizing agent hair tray 20.

CA 03002795 2018-04-20
[0024] As illustrated, a perming solution absorbing towel 100 of the present
invention
includes:
[0025] a first coupling portion 110 and a second coupling portion 120
configured to fold
and fasten together corner portions 101 and 102 of both ends of the perming
solution
absorbing towel 100 by pulling strings respectively formed on the corner
portions 101
and 102.
[0026] As shown in (a) of FIG. 3, the first coupling portion 110 comprises a c
-shaped
first string 111 extending toward the corner portion 101 and a cover portion
112 having
a sewn portion 113 such that a leading end portion of the first string 111 may
be
exposed and other ends of the first string 111 may be fixed to the towel 100.
[0027] In addition, a first stop sewn line 114 is further formed on the first
coupling
portion 110 to prevent the first string 111 from being concealed in the cover
portion
112.
[0028] As shown in (b) of FIG. 3, the second coupling portion 120 comprises a
p-shaped second string 121 extending toward the corner portion 102 and a cover
portion 122 having a sewn portion 123 such that a leading end portion of the
second
string 121 may be exposed and other ends of the second string 121 may be fixed
to
the towel 100.
[0029] In addition, a first stop sewn line 124 is further formed on the second
coupling
portion 120 to prevent the second string 121 from being concealed in the cover
portion
122.
[0030] The first coupling portion 110 and the second coupling portion 120
configured as
described above are operated as follows.
[0031] First, as shown in (a) of FIG. 5, if the first string 111 and the
second string 121
of the first coupling portion 110 and the second coupling portion 120 are
pulled, the
first string 111 and the second string 121 are extended outward from the cover
portions 112 and 122.
[0032] Then, as shown in (b) of FIG. 5, the corner portion 101 and the corner
portion
102 of the towel 100 are put together, and as shown in (c) of FIG. 5, the
corner portion
101 and the corner portion 102 are overlapped and tied with the extended first
and
second strings 111 and 121.
[0033] In this manner, the towel 100 may be simply and easily put around the
neck of a
user.

CA 03002795 2018-04-20
[0034] In addition, the perming solution absorbing towel 100 of the present
invention
may further include a stop portion 130 positioned between the first coupling
portion
110 and the second coupling portion 120 and configured to form creases when
two
strings thereof are pulled and fastened.
[0035] As shown in FIG. 4, the stop portion 130 includes: 11 -shaped third and
fourth
strings 131 and 132 positioned between the first coupling portion 110 and the
second
coupling portion 120 and extending toward an inner side of the towel 100; a
cover
portion 133 having a sewn portion 134 to expose leading end portions of the
third and
fourth strings 131 and 132 and fix other ends of the third and fourth strings
131 and
132 to the towel 100; a third stop sewn line 135 formed on the cover portion
133
between the third and fourth strings 131 and 132; and fourth and fifth stop
sewn lines
136 and 137 respectively preventing the third and fourth strings 131 and 132
from
being concealed in the cover portion 133.
[0036] When the third string 131 and the fourth string 132 are tied together,
the stop
sewn line 135 prevents the third string 131 and the fourth string 132 from
being
concealed in the cover portion 133 and thus maintains the cover portion 133 in
a
creased state.
[0037] The stop portion 130 configured as described above functions as
follows.
[0038] As shown in (a) of FIG. 6, if the third string 131 and the fourth
string 132 of the
stop portion 130 are pulled, the third string 131 and the fourth string 132
are extended
outward from the cover portion 133. At this time, the cover portion 133 is
creased.
[0039] Thereafter, as shown in (b) of FIG. 6, the third string 131 and the
fourth string
132 are tied together. Therefore, as shown in (c) of FIG 6, the cover portion
133 is
maintained in the creased state.
[0040] An overall use state of the towel 100 having the above-described
structure will
now be described with reference to FIG. 7.
[0041] First, after perming, the towel 100 is put around the neck of a user
with the
corner portions 101 and 102 being forward, and then the towel 100 is fixed to
the neck
of the user by pulling the first string 111 and the second string 121 of the
first coupling
portion 110 and the second coupling portion 120 and tying the corner portions
101 and
102.
[0042] Thereafter, the third string 131 and the fourth string 132 of the stop
portion 130
are pulled and tied together to crease the cover portion 133.

CA 03002795 2018-04-20
[0043] In this state, as shown in FIG. 7, a neutralizing agent hair tray 20 is
put around
the neck of the user, and then the creased cover portion 133 functions as
protrusions.
[0044] Therefore, the creased cover portion 133 having a protrusion shape is
caught on
a portion 21 (refer to FIG. 1) of the neutralizing agent hair tray 20, thereby
preventing
the cover portion 133 from moving down below the portion 21.
