CAP STRUCTURE FOR FRAGILE BOTTLE
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a cap structure for a fragile bottle
which caps an opening of the fragile bottle tightly and prevents toxic
substances (e.g. plasticizers) from dissolving in the bottle contents,
thereby increasing food safety.
to
2. Description of Related Art
Generally, the bottle bodies and caps of plastic containers (e.g. PET
bottles) for containing water, beverages, or food in the market are made
of plastic. Since the plasticizer contained in the plastic container may be
is dissolved in the contents of the container, it may be eaten by people
and
cause health damage.
In order to avoid plasticizers from dissolving in the contents, fragile
bottles, e.g. glass and ceramics are also used to hold water, drinks or
food. However, the bottle caps of fragile bottles are also made of plastic
20 materials, so the plasticizer may be dissolved in the contents when the
contents contact the plastic bottle cap. In addition, some fragile bottles
have metal bottle caps covered on their opening, but a plastic inner film
disposed on the inner surface of metal bottle cap will still contact the

2
contents, so the problem of the plasticizer dissolving into the contents
cannot be completely avoided. Fragile bottles especially glass and
ceramics are usually formed by sintering, so the upper edge of the bottle
opening usually lacks flatness. When the metal bottle cap is covered on
the bottle opening, there will be a gap between the metal bottle cap and
the upper edge of the bottle opening. As a result, the liquid content leaks
out easily and are easily deteriorated due to contamination by
microorganisms such as bacteria.
io SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
In view of the above-mentioned problems, the object of the present
invention is to provide a cap structure for a fragile bottle which caps an
opening of the fragile bottle tightly and prevents toxic substances (e.g.
plasticizers) from dissolving in the bottle contents, thereby increasing
food safety.
The cap structure for a fragile bottle of the present invention
comprises a main body having an open end, a close end, an inner space
and a connecting part formed at the open end; an elastic pad disposed at
an upper end of the inner space of the main body; and a stainless steel
lining disposed in the inner space of the main body to move between the
elastic pad and the connecting part. Accordingly, when the cap structure
for a fragile bottle of the present invention is covered on an opening of a

fragile bottle, a covering angle of the stainless steel lining that can move
in the inner space can be changed according to an uneven upper edge of
the opening so as to cap the opening tightly, avoid leakage of bottle
contents, and prevent toxic substances (e.g. plasticizers) from dissolving
in the bottle contents, thereby increasing food safety.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
CA 3065073 2019-12-13

4
Hereinafter, an exemplary embodiment of the present invention
will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
As showed in FIG. 1 to FIG. 3, a cap structure for a fragile bottle
according to the present invention is disclosed herein. It comprises a
main body (1) made of metal material, e.g. stainless steel, an elastic pad
(2) and a stainless steel lining (3). Referring to FIG. 4, the main body (1)
has an open end (11), a close end (12), an inner space (13) defined by the
open end (11), an inner wall thereof and the close end (12), and a
connecting part (14) formed at the open end (11). Preferably, the
connecting part (14) is a thread section formed on the inner wall of the
main body (1). Furthermore, the main body (1) is further provided with a
plurality of anti-slip protrusions (15) at an outer periphery of the close
end (12) thereof. The elastic pad (2) is fixedly disposed at an upper end
of the inner space (13) of the main body (1). The stainless steel lining (3)
is is disposed in the inner space (13) of the main body (1) and limited to
the
inner space (13) by the connecting part (14), so that it can move between
the elastic pad (2) and the connecting part (14). The stainless steel lining
(3) is further provided with a sealing recess (31) facing the open end (11)
of the main body (1), and a periphery of the sealing recess (31) is formed
with a bevel edge (32).
Accordingly, in use of the cap structure of the present invention,
when the open end (11) of is covered on an opening (41) of a fragile
bottle (4) made of glass or ceramic, the connecting part (14) (preferably

a thread section) provided on the inner wall of the inner space (13) of the
main body (1) can be screwed with an external thread section (42)
disposed on an outer wall of the opening (41) of the fragile bottle (4) by
applying a force on the main body (1) to rotation. Referring to FIG. 5,
after the fragile bottle (4) is screwed into the open end (11) of the cap
structure of the present invention, the opening (41) of the fragile bottle (4)
contacts the sealing recess (31) of the stainless steel lining (3) and
further pushes the stainless steel lining (3) to move towards the elastic
pad (2) as the fragile bottle (4) continues to screw into the inner space
io (13) until the stainless steel lining (3) is completely in contact with the
elastic pad (2) and positioned.
The bevel edge (32) formed on the periphery of the sealing recess
(31) allows the stainless steel lining (3) to tightly cover and seal the
opening (41) of the fragile bottle (4). Since the stainless steel lining (3)
can move in the inner space (13), a covering angle of the stainless steel
lining (3) can be adjusted according to an uneven upper edge of the
opening (41) of the fragile bottle (4). Additionally, the elastic pad (2)
provides support for the stainless steel lining (3) to ensure that the
stainless steel lining (3) firmly covers and seals the opening (41) of the
zo fragile bottle (4). In this way, the present invention avoids leakage of
liquid contents contained in the fragile bottle (4) and avoids
contamination by microorganisms such as bacteria due to the gap
between the main body (1) and the upper edge of the opening (41).
CA 3065073 2019-12-13

6
Furthermore, the stainless steel lining (3) prevents toxic substances such
as plasticizers from dissolving in the liquid contents, so it can ensure the
food safety when consumers eat or drink the liquid contents of the fragile
bottle (4), thereby avoiding harm to health.
It is worth mentioning that the main body (1) of the present
invention is formed with the plurality of anti-slip protrusions (15) at the
outer periphery of the close end (12) to increase the force of friction.
Therefore, consumers can easily open the main body (1) of the present
invention from the opening (41) of the fragile bottle (4). Furthermore,
to since the stainless steel lining (3) can move in the inner space (13) of
the
main body (1), the inner space (13) can be easily cleaned to reduce the
residue of dirt, which also improves the hygiene and safety of use. The
cap structure of the present invention has effects of good sealing,
non-toxicity, easy cleaning and the like, which increase the user's
Is willingness to reuse the cap structure without discarding the cap
structure after one use, so it also achieves environmental benefit of
saving material resource and avoids environmental pollution.
According to the above description, in comparison with the
traditional technique, the cap structure for a fragile bottle according to
20 the present invention has the advantages as following:
I. The stainless steel lining of the present invention can move in
the inner space, so the covering angle of the stainless steel lining can be
adjusted according to the uneven upper edge of the opening of the fragile

bottle. Additionally, the elastic pad provides support for the stainless
steel lining to ensure that the stainless steel lining firmly covers and seals
the opening of the fragile bottle.
2. The bevel edge formed on the periphery of the sealing recess
allows the stainless steel lining to tightly cover and seal the opening of
the fragile bottle, so the prevent invention achieves the effect of
completely sealing the upper edge of the bottle opening, thereby
effectively preventing leakage and deterioration of liquid contents.
3. The present invention seals the bottle opening by contact with
io the stainless steel lining which prevents toxic substances such as
plasticizers from dissolving in the liquid contents, so it can ensure the
food safety when consumers eat or drink the liquid contents of the fragile
bottle.
4. The stainless steel lining of the present invention can moved in
the inner space of the main body, so the inner space can be easily
cleaned to reduce the residue of dirt, which also improves the hygiene
and safety of use. The present invention has effects of good sealing,
non-toxicity, easy cleaning and the like, increases the user's willingness
to reuse the cap structure without discarding the cap structure after one
use, and thus achieves environmental benefit of saving material resource
and avoids environmental pollution.
5. The plurality of anti-slip protrusions provided at the outer
periphery of the close end increases the force of friction, so consumers
