Embodiment 1
As shown in Figs. 1-5, embodiment 1 of the present invention provides a tracer
screen
comprising: an oil casing 1, a filter sleeve 2 and a tracer ring 3; a wall of
the oil casing 1 is
provided with through holes 11; a side wall of the filter sleeve 2 is provided
with a filter net hole
21, the filter sleeve 2 is sleeved on an outer surface of the oil casing 1,
one end of the filter
sleeve 2 is connected with an outer wall of the oil casing 1, and a gap is
formed between an inner
surface of the filter sleeve 2 and the outer surface of the oil casing 1; an
accommodating space
31 is provided in the tracer ring 3, a tracer agent 4 is filled in the
accommodating space 31, both
ends of the tracer ring 3 are communicated with the accommodating space 31,
the tracer ring 3 is
sleeved on the oil casing 1, one end of the tracer ring 3 is connected with
the other end of the
filter sleeve 2 and communicated with the gap, and the other end of the tracer
ring 3 is connected
with the oil casing 1 and communicated with the through holes 11.
The tracer screen provided by the embodiment of the invention has the same
function as the sand
control screen in the prior art, namely, the tracer screen may be used as the
sand control screen to
be placed at a corresponding reservoir in an well to collect oil, gas and
water, and in addition, the
oil, gas and water produced by the corresponding reservoir pass through the
tracer ring 3
completely through the structure improvement, and the tracer agent 4 in the
tracer ring 3 is
mixed into the produced oil, gas and water, achieving the detection of the
output. The specific
connection and use of the tracer screen in wells is the same as the sand
control screen, and the
invention will not be described in detail.
Specifically, the oil casing 1 is a main pipe for collecting and transporting
oil, gas and water,
with a length set according to use requirements. Further, a through hole 11
communicating inside
and outside the oil casing 1 is provided at a position corresponding to the
other end of the tracer
ring 3, with a size specifically set according to design requirements,
preferably a circular through
hole 11.
The filter sleeve 2 may adopt a filter sleeve 2 with the same structure as
that in the prior art and
is used for being sleeved on the surface of the oil casing 1, filtering oil,

communicated with
CA 3069452 2020-01-23

the accommodating space 31 at both ends, and particles or blocks of the tracer
agent 4 filled in
the accommodating space 31 need to be larger than the aperture of the passages
at the both ends
to prevent the tracer agent 4 from flowing out. In addition, since the tracer
ring 3 provides one
accommodating space 31, the tracer agent 4 filled in the accommodating space
31 may be
granular, or when the product flow rate is large, the tracer agent 4 may be
filled in the
accommodating space 31 in the form of a block or a strip. Thus, the oil, gas
and water flowing
through the tracer ring 3 may be contacted with the tracer agent 4, and the
tracer agent 4 may
release chemical substances for detection to the oil, gas and water so as to
realize the monitoring
and detection of the quantity, the type and the variation of the output;
A tracer screen provided by an embodiment comprises an oil casing 1, a filter
sleeve 2 and a
tracer ring 3; when the tracer screen is used, products such as oil, gas,
water and the like filtered
by the filter sleeve 2 cannot directly enter the oil casing 1, and all the
products need to pass
through the tracer ring 3 and enter the oil casing 1 through the through hole
11 in the oil casing I.
The tracer screen provided by an embodiment of the invention can ensure that
all produced oil,
gas and water pass through the tracer ring 3 and are in contact with the
tracer agent 4 filled in the
tracer ring 3, ensures that all produced oil, gas and water carry the tracer
agent 4, and can
correspondingly arrange the tracer screen with the tracer agent 4 with
different components in
different reservoirs. Furthermore, the content of oil, gas and water produced
by the
corresponding reservoir and the change condition of the produced substance can
be judged
according to the tracer agent 4 in the produced substance.
As shown in Figs. 1 to 3, in a practical implementation, a plurality of first
passages 32
communicated with the accommodating space 31 are provided uniformly at one end
of the tracer
ring 3 at intervals, wherein the first passages 32 gradually become smaller in
passage area from
one end of the tracer ring 3 toward the interior of the tracer ring 3.
Alternatively, the first passage 32 has a stepped shape and includes a first
step passage 321 at
one side connecting one end of the tracer ring 3 and a second step passage
322, the section area
of the first step passage 321 being larger than the section area of the second
step passage 322.
Wherein, the other end of the tracer ring 3 is provided with a second passage
33 having the same
structure and distribution as the first passage 32.
Specifically, the tracer ring 3 may be formed by an inner sleeve 34, an outer
sleeve 35, a first end
ring 36 and a second end ring 37, wherein the inner sleeve 34 is positioned in
a barrel of the
outer sleeve 35 at a certain interval, the first end ring 36 and the second
end ring 37 are
respectively, connected with both ends of the inner sleeve 34 and both ends of
the outer sleeve 35
6
CA 3069452 2020-01-23

to form the accommodating space 31, and the inner sleeve 34 is sleeved on the
surface of the oil
casing 1. The first end ring 36 is provided with said first passages 32
communicating inside and
outside, and the second end ring 37 is provided with said second passage 33
communicating
inside and outside. Here, in order to ensure that the tracer agent 4 in the
accommodating space 31
does not leak out of the first passages 32 and the second passage 33, both the
first passage 32 and
the second passage 33 adopt the above-mentioned structure in which the passage
area from one
end portion of the tracer ring 3 to the interior of the tracer ring 3 becomes
smaller, or adopt the
above-mentioned stepped passage.
Further, the section of the first passage 32 is circular or rectangular, and
the section of the second
passage 33 is circular or rectangular.
As shown in Fig. 4, in a practical implementation, the tracer screen provided
by an embodiment
of the invention further comprises: a first connection ring 5, the inner ring
surface of the first
connection ring 5 is provided with a plurality of convex ribs 51 at intervals,
and the convex ribs
51 are provided along one end to the other end of the first connection ring 5;
wherein the first
connection ring 5 is sleeved on the oil casing 1, the convex ribs 51 are
supported on the outer
wall of the oil casing 1, a plurality of third passages 52 are formed between
the first connection
ring 5 and the outer wall of the oil casing 1,the outer surface of one end of
the first connection
ring 5 is connected with the inner surface of the other end of the filter
sleeve 2, such that the
third passages 52 are communicated with the gap; and the other end of the
first connection ring 5
is connected with one end of the tracer ring 3, so that the third passages 52
are communicated
with the accommodating space 31.
Specifically, the convex ribs 51 need to be uniformly distributed on the inner
surface of the first
connection ring 5, so that the first connection ring 5 may not only support
the filter sleeve 2 from
attaching to the surface of the oil casing 1, but also form a passage with the
gap between the
filter sleeve 2 and the oil casing 1, so that products such as oil, gas, water
and the like may enter
the gap after passing through the filter sleeve 2, followed by entering the
accommodating space
31 of the tracer ring 3 through the third passage 52, where the tracer agent 4
is mixed, and finally
they flow into the oil casing 1 through the through hole 11. Here, the section
of the convex rib 51
may be rectangular, semi-circular, etc.
As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, in a practical implementation, the filter sleeve 2
comprises a support
ring 22, a support sleeve 23 and a filter net (not shown in the drawings). The
support ring 22 is
sleeved on the oil casing 1 and connected with the oil casing 1, and the
filter net and the support
sleeve 23 are sequentially sleeved on the oil casing 1. The inner wall of one
end of the
7
CA 3069452 2020-01-23

supporting sleeve 23 is connected with the outer surface of the supporting
ring 22, the inner
surface of the other end of the supporting sleeve 23 is connected with the

space formed by the
supporting sleeve 23 and the oil casing 1.
And one end of the filter sleeve 2 is welded or in threaded connection with
the outer wall of the
oil casing L That is, there may be a welded or threaded connection between the
support ring 22
and the oil casing 1.
Specifically, the support ring 22 and the first connection ring 5 together
connect the support
sleeve 23 and allow a certain gap between the support sleeve 23 and the oil
casing 1, through
which oil, gas, water, etc. are filtered. The supporting sleeve 23 needs to be
a steel mesh with a
certain strength, preventing from attaching on the surface of the oil casing 1
directly under the
action of pressure, which influences the filtering. The filter net provided
between the support
sleeve 23 and the oil casing 1 is known to those skilled in the art, and will
not be described in
detail herein. The filter net may be fixed between the support sleeve 23 and
the support ring 22
or the first connection ring 5, or fixedly connected to the support ring 22,
the first connection
ring 5.
Further, support ribs may be provided on the inner surface of the filter
sleeve 2 and is in contact
with the outer surface of the oil casing 1, so that said gap is formed between
the inner surface of
the filter sleeve 2 and the outer surface of the oil casing 1; wherein the
number of the support
ribs is plural, the support ribs are provided along the direction from one end
of the filter sleeve 2
to the other end of the filter sleeve 2, and the support ribs are uniformly
and annularly distributed
on the inner surface of the filter sleeve 2 at intervals.
Specifically, the support ribs described above may be provided on the support
sleeve 23 or the
filter net, and the section of the support ribs may be rectangular. In
addition to the
above-mentioned arrangement in the direction from one end to the other end of
the filter sleeve 2,
the support ribs may also be ring-shaped, i.e., the ribs are supported between
the filter sleeve 2
and the oil casing 1 in a ring-shaped, and may be plural provided at intervals
in the direction
from one end to the other end of the filter sleeve 2.
As shown in Fig. 5, in a practical implementation, the tracer screen provided
by an embodiment
of the invention further comprises: a second connection ring 6, wherein the
section of the second
connection ring 6 is in a bent shape, for example, the section may be
rectangular or arc-shaped.
The second connection ring 6 is sleeved on the oil casing 1, one end of the
second connection
ring 6 is connected with the other end of the tracer ring 3, the other end of
the second connection
8
CA 3069452 2020-01-23

ring 6 is connected with the oil casing 1, and a fourth passage 61
communicated with the
accommodating space 31 is formed between the outer wall of the oil casing 1
and the second
connection ring 6; wherein the fourth passage 61 is opposite to and
communicated with the
through hole 11.
Specifically, the second connection ring 6 is welded or in threaded connection
with the outer
wall of the oil casing 1, and the connection between the second connection
ring 6 and the tracer
ring 3 may be welded or threaded connection.
As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, in a practical implementation, the number of the
through holes 11 is
plural, and a plurality of the through holes 11 are uniformly distributed on
periphery of the wall
of the oil casing at intervals.
Specifically, the through hole 11 is a passage for products of oil, gas, water
and other reservoirs
in the well annulus to enter the interior of the oil casing 1, and needs to be
communicated with
the accommodating space 31 of the tracer ring 3 and only communicated with the
accommodating space 31 of the tracer ring 3, rather than providing the through
hole 11 at a
position corresponding to the filter sleeve 2 in the prior art, thereby
ensuring all the oil, gas and
water enter the accommodating space 31 of the tracer ring 3 after being
filtered by the filter
sleeve 2, and finally enters the oil casing 1 through the fourth passage 61
and the through hole 11
after being contacted with the tracer agent 4 in the tracer ring 3.
As shown in Fig. 1, in a practical implementation, one end of the oil casing 1
is provided with an
external thread to form a male connector, and the other end of the oil casing
1 is connected with
a coupling 7 to form a female connector.
In particular, the tracer screens need to be located at corresponding
reservoir locations in the well,
and the number of tracer screens may be plural depending on the depth of the
well and the
reservoir of different depths, i.e. a convenient connection between the tracer
screens is required,
so that male and female connectors are respectively provided at both ends of
the oil casing 1,
wherein the coupling 7 is known in the art and will not be described in detail
herein.
While the invention has been particularly shown and described with reference
to a preferred
embodiment thereof, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that
various changes in form
and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of
the invention.
