English Abstract

This invention, the "Hex-Perpetual" Lottery System, powers the venture "Chance": the first viable solution for a "modern lotto", which globally incentivizes charitable donations through a unique, time-interval based, lottery system. Participants scattered across the globe can "take a chance" on any of the six "Hex-Perpetual" Games (The Minute, The Hour, The Day, The Week, The Month, or The Year), as seen in Fig. 1. At the conclusion of every time-interval, a randomized drawing for crowdfunded prizes occurs and an array of prizes is distributed across the globe. This mechanism provides higher and more frequent payouts than any pre-dating system and also has higher odds of winning.

CLAIMS
1. A mechanism for online lottery systems called The "Hex-Perpetual"
Lottery System, through which users scattered across the globe can
participate in any of the six Games (The Minute, The Hour, The Day,
The Week, The Month, or The Year), restricted to one ticket per
drawing.
2. A method for implementation of the invention regarding but not
limited to the creation of the private venture "Chance" to operate
independently on a global scale. This includes licensing IP to
existing ventures with antiquated gameplay, and a primary objective of

DESCRIPTION
TITLE:
A MECHANISM FOR ONLINE LOTTERY SYSTEMS AND A METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTATION
TECHNICAL FIELD
0001 The present invention is directed to a system for playing
and administering lottery games online. The lottery games are
preferably executed at a global level through obtaining new
regional licenses for an international lottery and/or licensing
the invention to existing national lotteries.
BACKGROUND ART
0002 National Lotteries draw hundreds of millions of weekly
players from around the world. However, this count is on the
decline. All current lottery systems are struggling to maintain
popularity and participation levels have plummeted since 1995.
This is mainly due to generational differences. The world's
largest lottery corporations ie. MegaMillions, PowerBall, etc.,
have been searching for a viable solution to replace existing
and antiquated games. The humanitarian global lottery
initiative, led by Finland's 10th president Martti Ahtisaari,
pursued a solution for decades. However, a truly attainable
system was never discovered. On the other hand, groups such as
"WorldWideLottery" are trapped in the past as they promote
archaic game structure ("PickSixLotto," "BillionBall,"
"888Lotto," & "WorldLotto"). None have found a sustainable
solution.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
TECHNICAL PROBLEM
0003 Starting abruptly with the Millennial generation, lottery
groups began to see a sharp decline in ticket purchases on a
global scale. With this generation, came a major mental shift
relating to social accountability, and above all: transparency.
In fifty years or less, if genuinely new developments aren't
successfully invented by lottery corporations, national
lotteries will become extinct due mainly to lack of ticket
sales. A new, simple, transparent, and modern mechanism is
needed for any major lottery group to see the 22nd century.
SOLUTION TO PROBLEM
0004 The "Hex-Perpetual" Lottery System (Six Games: Always
Running), is the only viable solution to date. This time-
interval based mechanism provides eligible users, on a global
scale, with the opportunity to participate in endless

2
crowdfunded drawings, from mobile devices; depending solely on
the relative current time, and the user's relative point of
entry into any of the six games. Participants scattered across
the globe can "take a chance" on any of the six "Hex-Perpetual"
Games (The Minute, The Hour, The Day, The Week, The Month, or
The Year). At the conclusion of every time-interval, a
randomized drawing for crowdfunded prizes occurs and an array of
prizes is distributed across the globe. Users are limited to
"taking one chance" per game, and are able to play again after
the previous game's conclusion. For example, the "Minute" game
has 525,600 per annum, the "Week" game has 52 drawings per
annum, and the "Year" game has 1 drawing per annum.
0005 The mechanism can be licensed to existing national
lotteries ie. MegaMillions, EuroMillions, etc., to help existing
lotteries in countries with high entry-barriers (United States,
Russia, China) survive. The mechanism will also be licensed
privately in a standalone venture, "Chance," in 167 countries
worldwide where licensing can legally be obtained.
0006 Additionally, 51% of all ticket costs will be directed into
non-profit sects of the parent venture, "Chance." These sects
will be: Clean Water, Food Supply, Environmental Protection,
Medical Research, and potentially Education. For example: users
will be provided with information on upcoming Clean Water
"builds" and the cost to begin, in the same mobile application.
Users will be provided with livestreams of non-profit work
carried out by "Chance." The non-profit side of the venture
allows users in current and upcoming generations to feel
confident in their decision to play a game of chance, and we in
return provide a sense of accountability that no existing
lottery group has done before. "Chance," the first viable
solution, globally incentivizes charitable donations through a
unique and modern, time-interval based, lottery system.
ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS OF INVENTION
0007 The "Hex-Perpetual" Lottery System will be deployed with a
"for good" emphasis. Due to both "Chance's" interest in non-
profit work, and the unforeseen rate of capital generation
enabled by this new mechanism, "Chance" partnership with the
United Nations, per Sustainable Development Goals of 2018, is
underway.
0008 Additionally, "Chance" has begun discussing government
partnerships in India, Russia, China, and the United States of
America, for unique access to previously impermeable markets, in
return for substantial revenue increases and a commitment to
conduct "in-region" non-profit work based on regional
participation.

0009 "Chance," with The "Hex-Perpetual" Lottery System at its
helm, is executed properly, "Chance" has the potential to impact
global health permanently; this ranges from providing clean
water and/or healthy food to in-need locations at rapid speeds,
developing affordable medicine for mass production, and helping
to steer a path towards reducing our current carbon footprint
before it becomes too late; according to the United Nations, the
current generation will be the last generation to have the
ability to turn back the effects of carbon pollution.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
0010 Fig. 1: These screenshots from "Chance's" original pitch-
deck are of the venture's beta mobile application. This shows
the layout of the "Hex-Perpetual" Lottery System as seen by
users, also known as the "Game" tab. Secondly is a screenshot of
the "Minute" tab where a participant can "take a chance" before
the 60 second-long drawing concludes. The third screenshot is of
the same "Minute" game, but with the "Prizes" tab open to show
the 1,117 prize-count breakdown as seen by users.
0011 Fig. 2: This screenshot is of the "Good" tab. It shows a
breakdown of a funds that a user has donated to "Chance's" non-
profit sects in an interactive way. The bottom tabs allow users
to change the initiative they are backing, see project goals,
and all other information relating to each specific non-profit
sect.
0012 Fig. 3: This flowchart depicts the user experience of the
lottery system implemented in the "Chance" venture, powered by
the invention. This flowchart covers users purchasing new
tickets, selecting one of "Chance's" non-profit initiatives, and
participating in games as desired.
DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS
0013 This invention will be used to replace existing online
lottery and/or raffle mechanisms. This additionally is explained
in paragraphs 0005 through 0009. The mechanism will be owned by
the venture "Chance," created and run by the inventor, Benjamin
N. Brown. The venture will license the mechanism to existing
lotteries, but will also start-up in 167 countries where
operation is currently legal. The venture will also secure "for
good" partnerships along the way.
EXAMPLES
0014 The first embodiment of The "Hex-Perpetual" Lottery System
is running "Chance's" online lottery system through creating
globally crowdfunded pools from all 167 legal regions.
"Chance's" financial headquarters is to be positioned in Zurich,

4
Switzerland, and its' servers to be operating from Valletta,
Malta. This private organization with government partnerships is
poised to become a leading company with global influence, due to
the creation of The "Hex-Perpetual" Lottery System.
0015 A second embodiment of the invention is licensing the IP to
existing lotteries, with the goals of providing increased profit
to existing ventures, obtaining existing user-bases, all while
routing 51% of revenue to "Chance's" non-profit divisions.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
0016 This invention will likely lead to a strategic partnership
with the United Nations. The UN is currently operating with a
fairly low budget (-8Bn annually), and our potential partnership
with the United Nations would lead to "Chance" becoming a United
Nations initiative, likely resulting in "Chance" providing the
United Nations with additional funding in return for approved
global reach.
0017 Additionally, the invention has potential to shift both
social and financial paradigms. Regarding social impact,
"Chance," the venture powered by this invention, will generate
capital for non-profit work at unbelievable rates. The venture
has the potential to rid the world of thirst, hunger, and
disease all with accurate estimates for completion based on
participation rate. As "Chance's" valuation increases,
acceptable business ethics for existing charities and similar
online lottery ventures will likely change by public demand due
to our unprecedented level of transparency.
