PACKING VESSEL HAVING DUAL CONTAINING FUNCTION
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
s 1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a packing vessel having a dual containing
function, and in particular to a packing vessel having a dual containing
function which
is capable of dividing the interior of a vessel into upper and lower spaces,
containing
beverage in the lower space and containing a snack(fried chicken, fried
potato,
to confectionery, bread, popcorn and others) in the upper space.
2. Description of the Background Art
A conventional beverage vessel and snack vessel are separately used. The
above separate use of the same is easily seen in a fast food shop. Therefore,
when a
is person concurrently buys a beverage and snack in the conventional art;
since the
beverage and snack are separately contained in the vessels, the person must
hold
the beverage using one hand and hold the snack using the other hand. In this
case,
when the person wants to drink beverage, there is no problem. However, when
the
person wants to eat a snack using two hands, the person must put down the
2o beverage at a stable position. Therefore, there is much inconvenience to
use the
vessels.
In the conventional art, since the beverage vessel and snack vessel are
separately used, it is inefficient in the points of a cost and management. In
addition,
since the person must hold each vessel using both hands, there is much
2s inconvenience when eating the snack. In addition, if the person is in
outdoor, not in
indoor, the activity range of the person is limited.

containing a
beverage and snack for thereby enhancing a convenience and activity of a user.
In order to achieve the above objects, there is provided a packing vessel
having a dual containing function which includes a vessel body for containing
a snack
and beverage therein, and a separation plate which is inserted into a certain
portion
1o of the vessel body, has a straw insertion portion formed in a center
portion; and
divides an inner space of the vessel body into a lower space in which a
beverage is
contained and an upper space in which a snack is contained in the packing
vessel
having a dual containing function for containing various snacks and beverages
therein.
is The separation plate includes a straw support portion which is upwardly
extended in a cylindrical shape in a circumference of the straw insertion
portion for
thereby supporting the straw inserted into the straw insertion portion.
The separation plate includes a close contact surface which is formed in a
lower direction along an outer circumference of the separation surface and is
2o vertically extended in the edge portion and is closely contacted with an

is
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODLMENTS
Figure 1 is a perspective view illustrating a packing vessel having a dual
containing function according to the present invention, Figure 2 is a
disassembled
perspective view illustrating a packing vessel having a dual containing
function
2o according to the present invention, and Figure 3 is a vertical cross-
sectional view
illustrating a packing vessel having a dual containing function according to
the
present invention.
As shown in Figure 1, a straw is inserted into a straw insertion portion 3 of
a
separation plate 2 inserted into the interior of a vessel body 1. A straw
storing portion
2s 8 is attached on an outer surface of the vessel body 2.
Figure 2 is a disassembled perspective view illustrating each element. As
3

CA 02377250 2002-03-18
shown therein, a beverage is contained in the vessel body 1, and a separation
plate
2 is inserted into the vessel body 1 in a lower direction. In order to divide
the interior
of the vessel body 1 into an upper space and a lower space based on an
insertion of
the separation platen, the vessel body 1 is formed in a cylindrical shape in
which an
s upper diameter is larger than a lower diameter. The separation plate 2 is
tightly
inserted for thereby forming an upper space and a lower space, and a straw is
inserted into the straw support portion 4 through the straw insertion portion
3.
Thereafter, a certain snack is inserted into the upper space. Therefore, it is
possible
to concurrently contain both beverage and snack into the upper and lower
space,
io respectively.
Figure 3 is a vertical cross-sectional view illustrating the vessel according
to
the present invention. As shown therein, the straw insertion portion 3
positioned in
the center of the separation plate 2 forms a straw support potion 4 which is
protruded
in the upward direction from the separation surface 5 which separates the
upper and
is lower spaces of the vessel for thereby containing a snack into the upper
space.
Therefore; it is possible to easily insert the straw. Namely, the straw
insertion portion
3 stably supports the straw in the center portion of the snack for thereby
implementing an easier use of the straw. In addition, a close contact surface
6 is
formed from the separation surface 5 to the lower portion along the
circumference
2o and is extended vertically. Therefore, when the inner surface of the vessel
body 1 is
closely contacted with the close contact surface 6, the attached area is
increased,
and a fixing force is increased. Therefore, when a user does a certain
activity in the
outdoor, it is possible to prevent the beverage stored in the lower space from
being
flown over the space, so that the snack stored in the upper space is wet.
2s Figure 4 is a cross sectional view illustrating a state that an upper
opening
surface of'the vessel body 1 is covered by a lid for sealing the body, and a
straw is
4

CA 02377250 2002-03-18
inserted into the straw storing portion 7 of the straw storing member 8
attached on an
outer surface of the vessel body 1 when packing the stuff stored in the vessel
without
directly drinking or eating the stuff stored in the vessel. When the beverage
is drunk
later, it is possible to conveniently use the straw without searching the
straw like in
s the conventional art: The lower portion of the straw storing member 8 is
attached to a
certain portion of an outer surface of the vessel body 1. The upper portion of
the
same is bent. The upper surface contacts with an outer surface of the vessel
body at
usual time. When fixing the straw to the straw storing member 8, the upper
surface is
bent, and the straw is inserted into the straw storing portion 7.
to As described above, the detailed embodiments of the packing vessel having
a dual containing function according to the present invention is implemented.
The
technical ranges of the present invention is not limited to the above-
described
embodiments. In the present invention, the upper area of the vessel body 1 is
larger
than the lower area, so that the insertion of the separation plate 2 is
limited when
is inserting the separation plate 2, and the separation plate 2 contacts with
the vessel
body 1. The vessel body 1 and the separation plate 2 are formed in a circular
shape
so that the separation plate 2 closely contacts with the center portion in the
longitudinal direction based on the cylindrical vessel body 1. The above-
described
construction is not limited thereto. In a preferred embodiment of the present
invention,
ao the shape. of the separation plate 2 is determined based on the shape of
the vessel
body 1 which may have a square and other shape. In addition, the closely
contact
position rnay be difference based on the capacity of the beverage or snack.
The
position of the straw insertion portion 3 which is at the center of the
separation plate
2 and the height of the straw support portion 4 may be changed. In addition,
the
2s vessel body 1 is a disposal type paper cup, and the separation plate 2 is
formed of a
plastic material. The materials of the vessel body 1 and the separation plate
2 are not
s

CA 02377250 2002-03-18
limited thereto. The vessel body 1 may be formed of a transparent material for
thereby seeing the stuff of the same. Namely, various modifications may be
possible
without changing the scope of the present invention.
As described above, the packing vessel having a dual containing function
s according to the present invention is capable of containing both beverage
and snack
by inserting and fixing the separation plate into the interior of the same.
Therefore, in
a view of customer, the user is capable of holding the vessel contained with a
beverage and snack using one hand and drinking or eating one of the beverage
and
snack using the other hand. In addition, the user is conveniently drinking or
eating
to the beverage or snack while the user is being moved to a certain place for
thereby
enhancing a convenience and activity and decreasing time consumption. In a
view of
product provider, an additional vessel is not needed. It is possible to
contain two
stuffs using one vessel, so that it is possible to provide a vessel to the
user based on
a lower cost and simple storing and management method. In addition, in order
to
is drink a beverage stored in the lower space, a straw is needed. Therefore, a
straw
storing member is formed in an outer surface of the body vessel for thereby
maximizing the user's convenience.
As the present invention may be embodied in several forms without departing
from the spirit or essential characteristics thereof, it should also be
understood that
Zo the above-described embodiments are not limited by any of the details of
the
foregoing description, unless otherwise specified, but rather should be
construed
broadly within its spirit and scope as defined in the appended claims, and
therefore
all changes and modifications that fall within the meets and bounds of the
claims,
or equivalences of such meets and bounds are therefore intended to be embraced
2s by the appended claims.
