English Abstract

Abstract

The present invention concerns a holder which is intended for
storing loose objects, such as skis or other sports articles,
or tools. The holder comprises a body part and a number of
fixing members consisting of elastic, plate-like bodies bent
to arcuate shape, and fixed by the aid of engaging members on
their ends in a slot or equivalent in the body part. The
fixing members are hereby located side by side and leaning
with their sides against each other, and the object to be
stored may be fixed in the holder by pushing it in between two
mutually adjacent fixing members. It is essential in the
invention that inside each fixing member bent to arcuate shape
has been disposed a separate bracing member consisting of an
elastic body bent to arcuate shape and the sides of which lean
against the inner sides of the fixing member. The purpose of
the bracing member is to enhance the pressing force acting on
the object fixed in the holder, whereby the holder is suited
better than before for storing objects of relatively large
size. The bracing member consists preferably of a plate-like
body similar to, but shorter than, the fixing member and by
the aid of engaging members at its ends attached in the slot
in the body part of the holder in similar manner as the fixing
member.

Claims

Note: Claims are shown in the official language in which they were submitted.

The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive
property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:

1. A holder for storing loose objects comprising:
an elongated body part and a plurality of fixing
members consisting of elastic, plate-like bodies bent to an
arcuate shape, the body part having a receiving member to
receive the ends of the fixing members, the ends of the fixing
members having engaging members to let the fixing member be
bound side by side;
the sides of the fixing members leaning against
each other and movable in the longitudinal direction of the
body part thereof;
the holder including a plurality of separate
bracing members consisting of elastic, plate-like bodies bent
to an arcuate shape, a bracing member located inside each
fixing member;
the sides of the bracing members leaning against
the inner sides of the fixing members, and the ends of the
bracing members having engaging members received by the
receiving member of the body part;
the bracing members being movable together with
the fixing members in the longitudinal direction of the body
part;
the fixing members being provided with parallel
elongated ribs extending in the longitudinal direction of the
bodies forming the fixing members, so that an object which
has been pushed between two mutually adjacent fixing members
is secured in place by means of said ribs and a pressing
force from the fixing members which is enhanced by the bracing
members.

2. The holder of claim 1 wherein the bodies forming
the bracing members have a length of about 1/2 to 3/4 of the
length of the bodies forming the fixing members.

3. The holder of claim 1 wherein the receiving
members are elongated slots.

In ~ig. 1 ~s depicted a holder 1 accDrding to the inventi~n, ir-
tænd~d particularly to bæ fix~d Dn a wallt ~nd ~hich i5 suita~le

es an ~longated body part 2 with holes 3 for fixing screws. The
b~dy part 2 has an ~longated ~perture ~ with ~l~nge~like borders 5
on its langitudin~l ~ide~, thæ~æ border~ holding ln place the
fixlng members 6 and bracing memboer6 7 of the holder. Thæ ends Df
the body part 2 hav~ been ~haped into brack~ts ~, ag~inst which the
Duter ~ides of th~ DutermDst fixing member~ Gf the holder lean.

to aid in keeping the Dbject in pl~ce. The ends 10 uf the fixing
~ember ~ have been designed to be ~ngaginy members, ~ompri~ing
nDtches 11 which f~t together with the 41ange-like borders 5 of the
~perturQ in the body part 2.

Th~ bracing members 7 belonging to the hDlder are likewise elastic,
plat~-like bodies made pre-ferably of plastio and in~erted in the
holder after bending to arLuate shap~, as seen in Fig. 1. As can be
seen ln Fig. ~, th~ fixing members ~ and th~ oracing ~embers 7 have
been SD arranged in the holder that lnside ~ach fixing ~ember i5
dispQsed a bracing ~ember, it~ outer sides leaning against the
Inner 5i dQs of the flxlng member. The 4uncti Dn of the bracing
m~mbers 7 i5 to enhance the pres~ing force acting on the ~bject ln
th~ holder between the fixing members 6.

In Fig. 3 i5 pre~ented a 1005e bracing meMber 7, in top vi~w. The
bracing me~ber 7 comprise~ a rather rigid central part 12 h~ving
greater thicknes~ than any other parts Df the br~ring mernber; parts
13 on both sides theræof, which when the bracin~ member i5 hent tD
arcuate shape constitute its ~idesi ~nd ends 14 which ha.ve been
shaped into ~ngaging me~ber~ similarly as the end6 10 of the fixing
member~ 6. It i5 thus understood that the ends 1~ of the braLing
member 7 hav~ notches 15 which fit Dnto the flang~-lIke bDrders
of the aperture in the bDdy p~rt of the hold~r.

The fixing ~mbers ~ ~nd bracing members 7 af4ixed to the body part
2 are char~cterized in that they ~re stresfie~ against ~ach other
~nd ~re ~bl~ to movQ in the longitudin~l direction of the body

~ixing an object to be stored in the holder 1 i5 simply acc~mplish-
ed by insertlng the Db~ect between the 5 jdes Df tWD mutually adja-
cent fixing member~ 6. since at the fixing of the ob~ect the sides
~f the 41xing ~embers 6, and those of the bracing members 7 there-
in, are urged cl~ser to each Dther and are in addition free to move

It i5 obvinus to a person skilled in the art that various embodi-
ments of the lnvention are not confIned to the exampl~ presented
but may vary withln the scope of the cl~ims fol lo~ling belDw. For
inst~nce~ the aperture 4 in the b~dy part 2 ~f the hDlder may be
narrDwer than ~hown3 ~r It ~ay be replaced by one or mDre rail-like
meMber~ on which th~ engaging members uf the f ixin~ member~ 6 and
bracing members 7 may l~k. The 6hape and length Df the bracing
