said candle holder including opposite pairs of
internal gussets therein for engaging a taper candle at
its lower end;
a chimney-glass holder mounted on said plate in
surrounding relationship with said candle holder;
a pair of fixed, spaced-apart clips associated
with said plate for snap-releasable engagement with the
candle ring to secure the adapter thereto; and
said plate, candle holder and internal gussets,
chimney glass holder, and clips being constructed of
integral molded plastic.

- 13 -
2. The adapter of claim 1, wherein said plate is
substantially flat and circular, and extends over the candle
ring.
3 . The adapter according to claim 2, wherein said
plate is peripherally notched for clearance with any
upwardly projecting prongs on the candle ring.

4. The adapter of claim 1, wherein the clip at each
end of said plate includes a central notch therein for
receipt by a radial portion of the candle ring.

5. The adapter of claim 1, wherein said chimney-
glass holder comprises a plurality of arouate tangs in
circumferentially spaced-apart arrangement.

-14-

6. An adapter for use with a candle ring, comprising:
a generally circular plate;
one single generally cylindrical candle holder
mounted in symmetrical position on said plate;
clips at opposite ends of said plate for
engagement with the candle ring to secure the adaptor
thereon;
the clip at each end of said plate including a
central notch therein for receipt by a radial portion
of the candle ring; and
a chimney-glass holder mounted on said plate in
generally concentric surrounding relationship with said
candle holder.

-16-
7. The adapter of claim 6, wherein said candle holder
includes opposite pairs of wedge-shaped internal gussets
therein for engaging the taper candle at its lower end.
8. The adapter according to claim 6, wherein said
plate is peripherally notched for clearance with any
upwardly projecting prongs on the candle ring.
9. The adapter according to claim 6, wherein said
plate is peripherally notched for clearance with any
upwardly projecting prongs on the candle ring.
