English Abstract

Abstract
Summary:
Equipment for Fastening Rails
In a device for fastening rails and/or switch parts to ties (1),
with the use of tie and/or ribbed plates (4), in which the tie
and/or ribbed plates are connected to the ties (1), particularly
steel ties, with intermediate connection of electrical insulation
and insulating layers are provided in the area of the fastening of
the ribbed and/or tie plates (4), at least two layers (2, 3) of
electrically insulating material are mounted between tie (1) and
ribbed and/or tie plate, whereby the electrically insulating layers
(2, 3) lying on top of each other are formed as plates with surface
areas different from each other and the upper insulating plate (3)
turned toward the tie (1) projects over the circumference of the
insulating plate (2) lying under it, preferably on all sides, in
order to reliably maintain electrical insulation between tie (1)
and ribbed and/or tie plate (4), even under poor weather condi-
tions, and if necessary to appropriately optimize damping behavior
(Fig. 1).

Claims

Note: Claims are shown in the official language in which they were submitted.

THE EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION IN WHICH AN EXCLUSIVE
PROPERTY OR PRIVILEGE IS CLAIMED ARE DEFINED AS FOLLOWS:
1. Equipment for fasting rails (6) and/or switch parts to ties
(1), using tie plates and/or ribbed plates (4), in which the tie
and/or ribbed plates (4) are connected to the ties (1), particular-
ly steel ties, with intermediate connection of electrical insula-
tion and insulating layers are provided in the area of the ribbed
and/or tie plate (4) fastening, whereby between tie (1) and ribbed
and/or tie plate (4) at least two layers (2, 3) of electrically
insulating material are mounted, characterized by the fact that the
electrically insulating layers (2, 3) lying on top of each other
are formed as plates with surface areas that are different from
each other and that the upper insulating plate (3) turned toward
the tie (1) projects beyond the circumference of the insulating
plate (2) lying below it, preferably on all sides.
2. Equipment according to Claim 1, characterized by the fact that
the circumference of the insulating plate (3) with the larger
surface area is formed as a draining edge.
3. Equipment according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized by the fact
that the ties (1) have support elements and/or carriers (16) on at
least one narrow side of the tie plate (4) and that insulating
strips (17) are mounted between the support elements (16) and the
adjacent narrow sides of the tie and/or ribbed plate (14).

11
4. Equipment according to Claim 3, characterized by the fact that
the support elements and/or carriers (16) are designed as support
strips forming an open obtuse angle (.alpha.) to each other at the narrow
side of the tie and/or ribbed plate (4) and are rigidly connected
to tie (1), especially welded, and that the insulating strips (17)
are formed as wedge shaped plates in the top view, the wedge angle
of which basically corresponds to the obtuse angle (.alpha.) between the
support strip (16).
5. Equipment according to one of Claim 1 to 4, characterized by
the fact that the bolts (5) connecting the tie (1) with intermediate
connection of insulating caps (15).

Description

Note: Descriptions are shown in the official language in which they were submitted.
