terry toweling attached to one side are two pockets opening in the centre

This invention relates to a washable, re-usable cloth sanitary napkin -for the
collecting of physiological secretions.

It is common for women having their monthly periods to deposit such discharge
into a disposable material with various absorbency capacity.

These devices are moreover unsatisfactory in that their design is ko be dis-
posed of and not re-used. Adding considerably to our land fill problems.
Moreover their tabs for attaching to the user's undergarments are placed
central not allowing for greater absorbency area in the anterior of the
wearer where needed. Various si~es of these sanitary napkins are required
on hand to accommodate flow rate and absorbency requirements of the users.

I have found these difficulties may be overcome by providing a sanitary napkin
that can be washed and re-used. By simply removing the towel insert after
use and rinsing both towel and napkin pocket with cold water and washing

as for regular laundry. With the self a-ttaching tabs located at one end
of the napkin rather than in the cen-tre the user can have more absorbency
placecl towards -the -front of the body where required. The choice to use a
towel insert or the thickness of -the toweling insert can determine -the absor-
bency level of the sanitary napkin wi-thout having -to keep in stock several sizes.
