~I~.LD OF ~HE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a cleaninq water
pl-, ~ev--e or ~ toilet ~y ~hich it is made possible to
sup?1-; cleanlng water or cleaning around an anus aft~r a
,~ovement ~r in response r3 any other re~uirement for the use
or such cleaning water, and more par icularl~ to:a cleaning
~ater supply device for a seat or a toilet by which it is
~ade p3ssible to supply cleaning water by a simple struc~ure
ithout any large~change in the external shape of .~ conven- :
tional toilet.
:: ~ .
~RIOR ART
Heretofore, as a device~for c:leaning private parts, a
cleaning water supply devlce~for cleaning~private parts has~
: been attached to:an exist:ing:toilet,~and since~such conven-
tional cleaning:water supply device~cannot be incorporated
in the main body of a~conventional~toilet, a conventional

,
~ollet seat was changed~so:as to~hold:the cleaning water
supply devlce, and there~ore tnere has:been r disadvantage
that attachment of the cleaning water sup~ly device:has been
~roublesome and the attaching structure compllca~ed.

SUMM~RY OF T~E INVENTION~
The present invention has been made to overcome such
problems of the conventional device, and to this end it

provides an improvement in a toilet having a main body with
a bowl portion therein and an upper flange structure around
the upper part of said bowl port~on, which improvement com-
prises: a cleaning water suppl~f means having an outwardly

and upwardly inclined protrusion extending from said upper
flange struot-lre into said bowl portion, a nozzle pipe
extending through said protrusion and having a nozzle head
de~2chably mounted thereon, a hori~ontal water supply plpe
e:~.ending through said main body below said protrusion and
~3 ~ ich said nozzle ~ipe is connected, and a connecting
ipe havins a valve means tnerein having one end connecte~
.o said horizontal water s;up~ ?ipe and the other end
adapted to be oonne~ted to a water su~pl~- line for suppl~ing
lushing water to said ~oilst.
The lmprovement can further have filter means therein
for filtering water flowing theretnrough~ ~
The improvement can further have said main body wlth
spaced opposed side~walls in~a rear~portion thereof, and
said norizontal water~sup~ly pipe is supported in and
extends between said side walls.

:
The improvement can further~have said connect~ng pipe
: ~
extending horizontally from said horizontal water~supply
pipe and said valve~means~an have a valve actuating member
on the outside ~r said connecting pipe.
Th~ invention also provides a toilet mai~ body for use
with a~cleanlng water supply~suppl~device, said toilet main
body having a bowl portion thereLn~and~an~upper flange ~
portion around;the upper part~o~ said bawl portion, and an
outwardly and upwardly inclined protrusion extending~from
said upper flange portion into said bowl portion and having
an upwardly inclined hole therethrough ~or receiving a
nozzle pipe therein, and said toilet main body haviny spaced
opposed side walls in a rear portion thereof havlng aligned
pipe receiving holes therein for receiving a horizontal
water supply pipe therein.

3ET~ILED DESCRI~TION OF THE INVENTION
The cleaning water supply device according to the
invention is for use on a conventional toilet having a water

tank 13 supplied with water from a water supply pipe 12
through a valve 11 from a water sup~ly line 10 from a water
main. The 'cank 13 is mounted on the rear part of an upper

,

flange structure 16 of a toilet main Dody 15 having a,r~O~
por.lon 14, and ~lushing water for Llushing the bowl is
supplied from tank 13 to beneath the upper flange 16 around
_he top of the bowl 1~ ~or flow into the bowl ~rom the
bot._m side of the flange through a supply means (not shown)
_-. a ~ar por. on 17 Ol _he main bodv 15. A conventional
_oilet sea. and lld or cover are pivotally mounted on the
~_~r portion OL- the flange.
~he cl-2ning water sup?l-~ device accordlng to the
-esent invention is constitute~ ~v an outwardly ~rojectlng,
upwardl~- inclined protrusion i8 on ~he edge of ,he rlange
structure 16 a~ the rear portion of the bowl 1~, and an
upwardly inclined hole 19 is provided therein. Through
hol-s 20 and 2d' are provided in side walls 17a and 17b of
the rear portion i7 at positions slightly lower than the
upwardly inclined hole 19, and a horizontal water supply
::
pipe ~2 is mountéd in the holes 17a and 17b. ;The pipe 22
has a connecting hole ,I at the middle thereof, and~one
threaded end of a nozzle 24 is threcLded into the pipe 22 a.
the hole 21, and the other end is inserted through the
upwardly inclined;hole lq of the upwardly Lnclined~protru-
sion 18 and has a jet nozzle head 23 threadedly detachably
mounted ~hereon, the rotational angle of which around the
nozzle pipe 24 is adjustable. T he fixed horizontal water
supply pipe 22 has one end closed by a cap 25 mountsd th~re-
on from the outside of the body 15, and the other end o~ the
hcri ontal wa,er p'pe 22 is connected at a "T" ~oint to a
connecting pipe 28;in turn connected to the water supply
pipe 12 and having therein a water supply control valve 27
having an actuating knob 26 on the outside thereof for
convenient access. A filtering tu~e 29 having almost the
same diameter as an inner diameter of said connecting pipe

The struc'ure of the present invention as described
changes a convent on21 .oile. main bcd~ only in that .he
ou--~a_~ly lnclined protruslon 18 is formed on the flznge
~or-:cn 15 at t;~Q rear side of ,he bcwl 14 or the main b3d-;
and has an upwardly lncllned hol~ 19, and ~n tha~ .he
through hales 20 and Z0' ar2 ~or~ed n the rear ~or-lon 17
at ~ositions lower ~han .h_ upwardl-r incli~ed hole 19 in the
~rot_usion 13, so that the toilet main b~d-~ is not great~-l
chansed. Fur.her, ~incs .ne hori-ontal wat-r supply pipe 2
is ri:~ed in the through hales 2~ and '0' and the nozzle pipe
2~ e~tending th~ough the u~wardly i~clined hole 1~ ~s
threadedly conne~ted thereto, therQ is the advantage that
the basi- piumD_ng worl; is almplQ.~ ~
In 1ls~, when a user supplles cIeanlng water by actuat-
in~ the water supply control;valve 27 with the knob 26,
cleaning water is supplied to the nazzle pipe` 24 through the
hor zontal water-supply pipe 22 and~the filterlng~tube 29
~_o-~ e~ wit~. n the conne~ting ~lpe 28, and a~ter foreign
material is filtered out,~it is jett from the jet~noz21e
head 23 toward a user seated on~the toilet. ~he filtering
tube 2~ is provided withLn the connecting pipe 28 to elimi-
nate foreign materiaL which may be present together wi~h the
water 'rom the water sup~ly tank of an apar~ment or the
lika, so that the cleanlng water contacting the user is
clean, and blocking of the jet nozzle head 23 by foreign
material is prevented. `The user may change the flow of

cleaning wat~r by exch~ngin~ the jet nozzle head 23 havi~g
one jet hole fo~ a jet nozzle head having two or more jet
~ol~s.
I. will be appreciatéd that the present inventi3n is
not rest_lcted .o the particular ~mbodiment desc-l~ed
hereinbefore, and that variations a~d modificat ons may be
made therein wit;~out departLng r.om the spirit an~ scope of
the invention as defined in the aprended claLms.
