English Abstract

ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to the automating of the process for
manufacturing larger articles from plastic, particularly recyclable
plastic waste. From a lengthened separator head 2 flanged to a
plasticizer 1, by way of one shut-off mechanism 4 respectively,
several molds 3 connected to it are supplied with melting 5. A
preprogrammed control device 10 monitors the filling of the
respective mold 3 by way of a sensor 9. When the desired filling
has been reached, the shut-off mechanism 4 is closed by means of
the control device 10, and another mold 3 that is ready to be
filled is filled with melting 5 by the opening of the corresponding
shut-off mechanism 4. In addition, the control device 10 controls
the subsequent pressing of additional melting 5 into the already
filled mold 3, starts the operation of the heating and cooling
device 12, causes the opening of the mold 3 and the ejection of the
molding 8 as well as the subsequent closing of the mold 3, and
signals its readiness to be filled to the control device 10.

Claims

Note: Claims are shown in the official language in which they were submitted.

THE EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION IN WHICH AN EXCLUSIVE PROPERTY
OR PRIVILEGE IS CLAIMED ARE DEFINED AS FOLLOWS:
1. A process for the automatic manufacturing of articles made
from plastic, particularly recyclable plastic waste, comprising
several stationary compression molds flanged to the separator head
of a plasticizer, characterized in that
a) the mold is released and the readiness to be filled is
indicated,
b) the shut-off mechanism 4 on the separator head 2 which is
assigned to the mold 3 is opened,
c) the mold 3 is filled and the plunger device 6 is filled
subsequently, and the filling pressure monitoring device makes a
report,
d) the shut-off mechanism 4 on the separator head 2 is
closed,
e) subsequently, additional melting 5 is pressed into the
mold 3 by means of the plunger device 6,
f) the mold is cooled 3,
g) the mold cover 7 is opened and the molding is removed 8,

h) the mold cover 7 is closed and the heating device 12 for
the mold 3 is switched on.
2. A process according to Claim 1, characterized in that the
readiness of the mold 3 to be filled is caused by a sensor 9 which
is connected with it.
3. A process according to Claim 2, characterized in that the
shut-off mechanism 4 on the separator head 2 is opened by the
signal of the sensor 9.
4. A process according to Claim 3, characterized in that the
filling of the mold 3 and the subsequent filling of the plunger
device 6 is monitored by the sensor 9 by measuring the filling
pressure.
5. A process according to Claim 4, characterized in that the
closing of the shut-off mechanism 4 on the separator head 2 is
caused by a signal of the sensor 9.
6. A process according to Claim 5, characterized in that the
subsequent pressing of additional melting 5 into the mold 3 is
caused by the sensor 9.
7. A process according to Claim 6, characterized in that the

switching-on of the cooling device 12 for the mold 3 is carried out
by a signal of the sensor 9.
8. A process according to Claim 7, characterized in that the
opening of the mold 3 is carried out within a certain time interval
by means of a control device 10 and the removal of the molding 8
from the mold 3 is carried out at the same time.
9. A process according to Claim 8, characterized in that the
closing of the mold cover 7 and the intermediate heating of the
mold 3 is caused by a signal of the control device 10.
10. An arrangement for carrying out the process, comprising
a plasticizer, a separator head with several blockable outlets
leading to the individual molds, comprising one afterpressing
device respectively for the subsequent filling of additional
melting into the individual molds,
characterized in that
a) the separator head 4 is lengthened in a strand-type
manner,
b) the intermediate pieces 13 between the outlets 15 can be
heated by means of an additional heater,
c) the plasticizer is constructed as a screw-type extruder

or as a roller-type extruder.

12. An arrangement according to Claim 11, characterized in
that a melting delivery pump is connected between the plasticizer
1 and the separator head 2.

13. An arrangement according to Claim 12, characterized in
that the shut-off mechanism 4 is constructed as an electrically
actuated rotary slide valve.

14. An arrangement according to Claim 13, characterized in
that the shut-off mechanism 4 is constructed as a needle shut-off
nozzle.

15. An arrangement according to Claim 13, characterized in
that the shut-off mechanism 4 is constructed as a shut-off slide
valve.

16. An arrangement according to one of Claims 13 to 15,
characterized in that the molds 3 form a unit with the pertaining
shut-off mechanism 4 and are flanged to the strand-type separator
head 2.

17. An arrangement according to Claim 16, characterized in
that a plunger device 6 for the subsequent pressing of additional
melting 5 into the mold is arranged on every mold 3.

18. An arrangement according to Claim 17, characterized in
that a controllable heating and cooling device 12 is connected to
every mold 3.

19. An arrangement according to Claim 18, characterized in
that the intermediate pieces 13 between the outlets on the
separator head 2 have one additional heater 14 respectively.

20. An arrangement according to Claim 19, characterized in
that the molds are equipped with a sensor 9.

21. An arrangement according to Claim 20, characterized in
that the sensor 9 closes the shut-off mechanism 4 when the desired
pressure is reached in the mold 3.

22. An arrangement according to Claim 21, characterized in
that a control device 10 causes the subsequent pressing of
additional melting 5 into the already filled mold 3.

23. An arrangement according to Claim 22, characterized in
that the control device 10 switches the heating device 12 to
cooling in a time-staggered manner.

24. An arrangement according to Claim 23, characterized in
that the control device 10 causes the removal of the molding 8 from

the mold 3 after a certain time interval.

25. An arrangement according to Claim 24, characterized in
that the control device 10 causes the closing of the mold cover 7.

26. An arrangement according to Claim 25, characterized in
that the closing of the mold cover 7 takes place hydraulically.

27. An arrangement according to Claim 25, characterized in
that the closing of the mold cover 7 takes place by means of a knee
joint.

28. An arrangement according to one of Claims 26 or 27,
characterized in that the control device 10 signals the release of
the closed mold 3 to the shut-off mechanism 4.

29. An arrangement for carrying out the process, comprising
a plasticizer, a separator head with several blockable outlets
leading to the individual molds, comprising one heating and cooling
device respectively and one afterpressing device respectively for
the subsequent filling of additional melting to the individual
molds,
characterized in that
