TOOTH SAFlF,KF,F,PING DEVICE

The present invention relates to a two-piece shape to hold the tooth of a child or
currency or other objects for safekeeping, and more particularly to be fastened and placed under
the pillow of a child and the like.
The present invention provides a su~st~ntially round safekeeping device or a
5 cylinder type article that comprises a roundish shaped top piece and a bottom piece with a
plurality of depending legs or fingers.
The present invention provides a container type of device having a plurality of
spaced depending legs or fingers in which each leg or finger is of equal length to each other.
The present invention provides a substantially round cylinder type of device that
10 will occupy space the approximate size of an egg so l~.at a greater number of cylinder type devices
may be packed into a container and shipped to their point of use.
The present invention provides an economical and simple cylinder type device that
can be readily made in a single step molding, pressing or injecting operation using plastic material
and the like if desired.
The present invention provides a substantially round cylinder type device provided
with grooves in the top part of the bottorn piece which enable it to be fastened to the top piece of
the device therein providing a container like device for which to hold an object for safekeeping,
specifically a child's tooth or currency or other objects such as dental floss.
Various other advantages of the present invention will be readily apparent from the
20 following detailed description when considered in connection with the accompanying drawing
forming a part thereof and in which:
Figure 1 is a view shown in the fronc e~evation of the tooth safekeeping device
embodying the present invention;

Figure 2 is a view shown in the side elevation of the tooth safekeeping device
illustrated in Figure 1 further showing it as it would appear with an object contained within the
device;
Figure 3 is a sectional or perspective view of the tooth safekeeping device
embodying the present invention taken along the line 12-12 of Figure 1;
Referring to the drawings the reference numeral 1 generally designates the toothsafekeeping device embodying the present invention which is provided with a substantially round
top portion 2 having a four legged or fingered bottom portion 10.
The substantially roundish top portiorl 2 is provided with a component 20 which
will enable it to thread or fasten to the bottom portion 10.
The bottom portion 10 is provided with four depending legs or fingers 22
extending from a bowl shape which can be threaded 20 to allow it to attach or fasten to the top
portion 2.
In operation, when it is desired to contain a tooth or currency or other objects in
l S a tooth safekeeping device indicated in Figure 2 in ~he drawings, the user of the tooth safekeeping
device grips the top portion 2 of the device with his fingers and screws or fastens the top
portion 2 to the bottom portion 10. The perspeGtive view of this is shown in Figure 3 in the
drawings. Then the two-piece container is normally placed under the pillow of a child or the like.
At this time the tooth or other objects will be secure inside the tooth safekeeping device.
It will be noted that with the present invention a simple and inexpensive tooth
safekeeping device is provided that can be utilized reg ardless of which edge of the top portion 2
is fastened first.
Another feature of the present invention is that the two-piece device can be readily
made from a simple plastic molding operation.
Inasmuch as various changes may be made in the relative arrangement and location- 2 -
