English Abstract

A winter sports device has at least two parallel
skates (2) which determine a parallel position of the
sliding surfaces of the skates and at least one swivell-
ing lever (8) for fastening bindings, standplates (7),
boots, etc. In order to provide a winter sports appli-
ance having a simple design but which allows sharp
edging on the sliding surfaces with little effort while
rapidly and directly transmitting irregularities or the
ground from the skate to the user and vice versa, at
least one swivelling lever (8) is symmetrically and ex-
centrically arranged on each side of the longitudinal
axis of each connecting member of the winter sports
device. Seen from above the swivelling levers (8) lie
entirely or partially outside of the eccentric upper swi-
velling axes which ensure the linkage between the
connecting member and the swivelling lever (8).

the skates (2) being arranged eccentrically with respect to the longitudinal
center of the latter on opposite sides.
7. The sports device as claimed in one of the preceding claims, wherein the
swivelling levers (8, 8') on each side are interconnected in a parallelogram-like
manner to each other additionally by levers (100) acting away from the
swivelling axes (5).

- 22 -
8. The sports device as claimed in claim 7, wherein
- for the axial bolts for the swivelling axes (5, 6), disks (205, 206) are
used, the outside diameter of which is greater than their axial length, and
- the lower disk (206) is mounted with its outside diameter in the prong
(10) of the crossbar (4).
9. The sports device as claimed in claim 8, wherein
- at least the prongs (10) of the crossbar (4) are designed as a cross-
sectionally closed hollow profile (207), in which the disk (205) can be
accommodated,
- into the upper disk (205) there can be inserted in a rotationally fixed
manner an axial bolt (205a) which protrudes above said disk at its end face, is
mounted in the hollow profile (207) and is connected in a rotationally fixed
manner to one of the swivelling levers (8), and
- upon radial loading of the axial bolt (205a), on account of the bearing
clearance of the latter, the upper disk (205) is supported by its end faces (210)
in the region of its outer circumference on the inner surfaces of the hollow
profile (207) and the side walls (208) of a groove (209) in the circumferential
surface of the disk (206).
10. The sports device as claimed in one of the preceding claims, wherein the
swivelling axes (5, 6) run parallel with respect to the longitudinal axes of theskates (2), and the skates (2), connecting members and swivelling levers (8, 8')are interconnected in a parallelogram-like manner to one another additionally bylevers (100, 101, 102) acting away from the swivelling axes (5, 6).
11. The sports device as claimed in one of the preceding claims, wherein the
levers (100, 101, 102) are designed as a piston-cylinder unit which can be
changed in length in a damped manner and can be restored automatically to the
initial length.
12. The sports device as claimed in one of the preceding claims, wherein the
swivelling levers (8, 8') and the skates (2) are interconnected by means of the

- 23 -
levers (102), the articulation points of which have a greater distance from the
upper swivelling axis (5) than from the lower swivelling axis (6).
13. The sports device as claimed in one of the preceding claims, wherein the
winter sports device (1) has two connecting members spaced apart in the
longitudinal direction (9).
14. The sports device as claimed in one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the winter
sports device (1) has a connecting member which is connected to each skate
(2) by means of two swivelling axes (6), spaced apart in the longitudinal
direction (9), and to each of the two swivelling levers (8, 8') on each side by
means of a swivelling axis (5).

distance-compensating element (13) is arranged between at least one swivelling
lever (8) and the component secured thereto, facing away from the connecting
member.
