In order to lower blood alcohol levels, a refreshing beverage contains 20 to
70 g fructose, 10 to 23 mg ascorbic acid and 0.1 to 10 g flavouring substances
and/or 0.1 to 7 g citric acid and/or 0.1 to 6 g quinine in 0.33 l water.


French Abstract

Afin de faire baisser le taux d'alcool dans le sang, une boisson rafraîchissante contient dans 0,33 l d'eau 20 à 70 g de fructose, 10 à 23 mg d'acide ascorbique et 0,1 à 10 g d'arômes et/ou 0,1 à 7 g d'acide citrique et/ou 0,1 à 6 g de quinine.

claims:
1. Refreshment beverage which, for the reduction of blood alcohol levels in an amount
of 0.33 liters of a water also contains
20 to 70 grams fructose and
10 to 23 mg ascorbic acid also
0.1 to 10 grams flavor agents and/or
0.1 to 7 grams citric acid and/or
0.1 to 6 mg quinine.
2. Refreshment beverage according to Claim 1, distinguished by the fact that
44 grams fructose
23 mg ascorbic acid
5 grams flavor agents
1.7 grams citric acid and
4 mg quinine
are added to 0.33 liters of water.
3. Refreshment beverage according to Claims 1 or 2, characterized by the fact that the
water is a non-carbonated or carbonated mineral water.
4. Refreshment beverage according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized by the fact
that it contains natural flavor agents like grapefruit, lemon, or orange, alone, or in
combination, as flavor agents.
5. Refreshment beverage according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized by the fact
that it contains a natural citric acid as citric acid.

The invention concems a new, ~r, ~al ""~"~ beverage which not only has a refreshing
and invigorating effect, but also, when consumed after alcohol, causes a faster
reduction of the blood alcohol level or, when consumed immediately prior to alcohol,
causes the blood alcohol level to reach lower levels than would be achieved without
this beverage.
This task is achieved by the It:rl~al""e"I beverage in its co",, " 1 as presented in
Claim 1.
A prefenred uu~ Jcailiull is to be taken from Claim 2. Additional prefenred uù~ Joailiul~s
of the invention are to be taken from the further subordinate claims.
Underthe invention, the It~rl~alllllclll~ beverage will preferably be bottled in quantities of
û.33 liters. It consists of a dnnking water or a non-~,d, I,u, Idltld or ,dl bOIldl~d mineral
water, to which are added to û.33 liters 2û-7û grams of fnuctose, (preferably 449), 1û to
23 mg ascorbic acid (preferably 23 mg), û. 1 to 1 û 9 flavor agents (preferably 5 9), û. 1
to 7 grams citnc acid and û.1 to 6 mg quinine (preferably 4 mg).
Preferably, natural flavor agents, such as grapefnuit, lemon, orange and other fnuits,
alone, or in cu"lbil ' ), are used as flavor agentâ.
Preferably, a natural citnc acid is also used as citnc acid. A product known under the
trade name "Zitro S" may be used.
