English Abstract

The CUT MASTER is a precise portable two fence miter table, with two hinged
flaps which can
be open to allow blade clearance in bevelling mode. It features : adjustable
sliding tracks
mounted on top. Any 7 1 /4" or 8 114" diameter circular saws with left or
right side blades and
shoes of any width or length may be installed quickly and easily, turning into
a radial arm saw.
It is equally simple to remove the circular saw from the sliding tracks for
free hand cutting.
Miter fences graduated in metric and imperial, plus miter and bevel set up
from 0* to 60*
degrees. Enable the miter fences to be set to the correct measurement for the
angle chosen to be
cut to miter or to be cut to bevel.

CLAIMS
The field of electrical cutting saws is a very large one. There is a large
variety of table
saws, radial arm saws, portable mitre saws, portable circular saws ect.. ect..
The cut master is not a mitre saw, but it is a mitre table and is unique in
it's own design
as a portable two fence mitre table.
* It distinguishes itself by the flexibility of the "h" shaped foldable
supporting feet.
* It distinguishes itself by the "L" shaped perforated beams that the
supporting frame is
constructed of.
* It distinguishes itself by having the mitre guiding slots grooved through
the mounting board.
* It distinguishes itself by having a blade clearance slot in the centre of
the mounting board.
* It distinguishes itself by having two openable hinged flaps in the centre of
the mounting board
in order to provide blade clearance in the bevelling cutting mode.
* It distinguishes itself by having height adjusting shims in order to
increase gradually depth
cutting capacity.
* It distinguishes itself by having eight holes on the mounting board set in a
way that the
assembled sliding tracks can be mounted for either push forward or pull
backward cutting mode.
The cut master also distinguishes itself by the design and operation of the
mitre arms and
mitre fences.
* Mitre arms are "L" shaped and are both connected to one central pivot.
* Mitre arms are guided to the mitre slots by foldable handles operated from
the underside of the
mounting board.

* Foldable handles with retainers which engage in threaded holes on the mitre
arms which serve
to tighten or loosen the arms during the adjustment from one degree setting to
another.
* Mitre fences are rectangular in shape and the side that faces the mitre arm
has a channel in
which the threaded retainers slide. Butterfly retaining nuts are used to allow
for fast tightening
or loosening.
* Mitre fences are graduated in metric and imperial increments with mitre and
bevel degree set
up. This set up will ensure correct measurements for any angle chosen to be
cut either mitre or
bevel. This procedure is made possible by the engagement combination of mitre
arms and mitre
fences.
*The cut master also distinguishes itself by the shape of the sliding tracks,
supporting brackets,
blade guard stopper, safety plate and safety bracket
*The "L" shaped slotted supporting brackets make possible, width adjustment in
the sliding
tracks.
* The "Z" shaped sliding tracks provide a supporting guide for circular saws
which are
normally used for rough carpentry work. This means that the circular saw is
not mounted on a
plate then in turn slides in to the tracks. It is the actual circular saw with
it's own shoe base that
sits and slides into the tracks.
* It distinguishes itself with the design of the safety plate and hooked
shaped bracket.
* It distinguishes itself with the design of the spring loaded engagement of
the blade guard
stopper.
As a conclusion : In the known world of mitre cutting devices, all these
parts, and their
application makes the CUT MASTER a one of a kind portable two fence mitre
table.

CUT MASTER
SPECIFICATION- MATERIALS
It is a combination of steel, aluminum, hard plastic or ply wood.
Steel for: " L" shaped slot brackets, spring loaded blade guard stopper, " h "
shaped
supporting feet.
2. Aluminum or light weight steel for : miter arms, miter fences, foldable
miter handles, stopper
brackets, height adjusting shims, retaining latches, supporting frame.
3. Aluminum, hard plastic or plywood for mounting board.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The CUT MASTER is designed in a way that can be fully assembled by the
manufacturer
without packaging complications or inconvenience. Assembled sliding tracks do
not exceed the
length of the mounting board. Assembled miter arms and mitre fences do not
exceed the
mounting board width when they are kept closed at a 60* degree reading marks
as shown in
photograph ( 1 ) Foldable handles to insure firm tightening and minimizing
size of packaging
box. Foldable supporting feet can be assembled and closed for storage purposes
also minimizing
size of packaging box. The length of the supporting feet give a height of 5" _
( 12.5 cm) from
the supporting surface to the mounting board top. This allows a supporting
stand to be made of
three pieces of 2" x 4" as shown in photograph ( 2 ) for use when longer work
pieces are being
cut. The supporting feet are " h" shaped in section. With 1.5" ( 3.7cm) gap
between the legs
enabling the CUT MASTER to be mounted on any supporting frame constructed of
1.5" ( 3.7
cm) material thickness, such as horse stands. This provides a firm and stable
clamping base.
The supporting frame of the CUT MASTER is designed to give strength and
stability to the
mounting board. It also enables mounting the foldable supporting feet and
attaching the CUT
MASTER attachment supporting frame for repetitive cuts as shown in photograph
( 3 )

CUT MASTER MOUNTING BOARD FEATURES
1. Right and left stopper brackets at 0* degree reading point.
2.Miter fence guiding slots graduated from 0*- 60* angle.
3.Right and left hinged flaps which can be opened from the underside by
releasing the retaining
latch as required to provide blade clearance in bevelling cutting mode as
shown in photograph
( 4) But they can also be left open to minimize saw dust on top of the
mounting board.
4. Eight mounting holes ( four on the front and four on the back. ) These
holes are set up in a
way that the assembled sliding tracks can be set to allow push forward cutting
mode or
backwards cutting mode ( as a radial arm saw) This procedure is achieved by
removing the
assembled sliding tracks from one mounting position, rotating them 180*
degrees from their
original position then replace onto the mounting board and reline the
retaining bolts by using
opposite holes.
CUT MASTER MITER ARMS AND MITER FENCE FEATURES
The miter fences are mounted onto the miter arms. The miter arms have a
reference point
marked on them so that the miter fences can be set up at the angle chosen to
be cut, either miter
or bevel and have a accurate measurement every time. The miter fences are
graduated in metric
and imperial dimension, with miter and bevel set up from 0*- 60* degrees. In
order to achieve
an accurate measurement at any angle degree being cut, either miter or bevel
the miter fences
degree marked an them must line up with the reference point marked on the
miter arms. This is
made possible by loosening the retaining nut that secure the miter fences to
the miter arms and
sliding in or outward to the selected angle degree, then re tighten the
retaining nuts to ensure
firmness.

CUT MASTER SLIDING TRACKS AND MOUNTING BRACKETS CHARACTERISTICS
Sliding tracks are in " z" shape design with mounting plates welded at either
end to act as
stopper plates for circular saw shoes and be able to mount them on the " L "
shaped slot
brackets. The sliding tracks by being in " z " shapes allow the circular saw
to be guided into
them and be able to mount the safety plate, safety bracket and spring loaded
blade guard stopper.
Mounting brackets are " L " shaped : The horizontal side has two holes
inabelin to be mounted
on tthe mounting board with retaining bolts and nuts. The vertical side has a
slot across it
enabeling the sliding tracks to be set at the required width and tighten them
firmly with bolts and
retaining nuts.
CUT MASTER minimum depth cuting capacity 1 ll4" ( 3.2 cm) Maximum depth
cutting
capacity depending on the circular saw and blade being used, less sliding
track material thikness.
CUT MASTER length cutting capacity based on CUT MASTER length. CUT MASTER
width
is 26" ( 66. lcm)
