TOOL DISPLAY UNIT
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a tool display unit comprising a base
member which has an engaging port, and multiple display members which are
connected with each other and one of which is connected to the engaging port.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
A conventional tool display member generally includes a board with a
hanging hole and a retaining member on the board so as to secure a tool on the
board. Basically, the conventional tool display member can only display one
tool and has a fixed shape and size, which limit the use of the display
members.
The tools nowadays are changed rapidly in shape and size so that the
conventional tool display member cannot meet the requirements of the users.
Besides, each conventional tool display member has only one hanging hole so
that many nails are required on the wall to hang the tool display members.
The present invention intends to provide a tool display units
composed of multiple display members which can be assembled according to
practical needs.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a tool display unit which comprises a
base member having a hole defined therethrough and an engaging port is
connected the base member. At least one display member has a connection
device on a top edge thereof so as to be engaged with the engaging port of the

base member. A retaining member is connected to a surface of the at least one
display member.
The primary object of the present invention is to provide a tool
display unit which includes a base member and a number of display members
can be assembled and connected to the base member.
These and further objects, features and advantages of the present
invention will become more obvious from the following description when
taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes
of illustration only, several embodiments in accordance with the present
invention.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Fig. 1 is an exploded view to show a tool display unit of the present
invention;
Fig. 2 is a perspective view to show the tool display unit of the
present invention;
Fig. 3 is a perspective view to show the tool display unit of the
present invention wherein tools are retained on the display members, and
Fig. 4 is a cross sectional view to show the tool display unit of the
present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
Referring to Figs. 1 and 2, the tool display unit of the present
invention comprises a base member 14 which has a hole 11 defined
therethrough and a box 10 connected to the base member 14. An engaging port

including a plurality of slots 12 are defined in an underside of the box 10.
The
box 10 has an open top which is closed by a cover 13.
A first display member 20 which is a box and has a connection device
on a top edge thereof and the connection device includes four hooks 21
extending from the top edge of the first display member 20. The hooks 21 are
engaged with the slots 12 as shown in Fig. 4 such that the first display
member
20 is connected to the base member 14. The cover 13 allows the user to access
and disengage the hooks 21 from the slots 12. A plurality of slots 23 are
defined through an underside of the first display member 20. A second display
member 200 which is a box and has four hooks 22 extending from a top edge
thereof and the hooks 22 can be engaged with the slots 23 of the first display
member 20 as shown in Fig. 4. A plurality of slots 230 are defined through an
underside of the second display member 200 so as to be connected to another
display member. An aperture 26 is defined through the second display member
200.
A retaining member 24 is connected to a surface of each of the first
display member 20 and the second display member 200. Each of the retaining
members 24 includes two arms 25 and each of the two arms 25 has a hook end
28. A connection plate 27 is connected between the two hook ends 28.
As shown in Fig. 3, each retaining member 24 may retain a tool and
the aperture 26 receives a protrusion of a tool that is retained by the
retaining
member 24 on the second display member 200.
