Il s'agit d'une pièce de bois massif destinée à la construction de murs
extérieurs de bâtiments et
dont la découpe spéciale usinée en forme de "H" permet l'insertion de pièces
d'isolant rigide.
Le concept permet le montage progressif des murs en emboîtant les pièces les
unes sur les autres.
Depuis longtemps les maisons en bois massif pièces sur pièces font partie du
patrimoine bâti de
l'hémisphère nord. Mais depuis les années 70, les normes d'économie d'énergie
imposent des
caractéristiques d'isolation thermique et d'étanchéité de plus en plus
sévères. Les méthodes de
construction traditionnelles ne peuvent plus satisfaire ces critères de
performance.
Ce nouveau concept permet de construire des bâtiments d'aspect traditionnelle
qui, en plus,
répondent adéquatement aux exigences de performances modernes.
Une première bille en H est posée munie d'une pièce isolante dans sa cavité
inférieure. Elle est
fixée en place. Puis une pièce isolante est insérée dans la cavité supérieure.
Cette pièce d'isolant
rigide dépasse la cavité en hauteur suffisante pour remplir la cavité
inférieure de la prochaine bille à
être posée. Cette deuxième bille est installée et ainsi le processus se
poursuit jusqu'à la hauteur
désirée du mur.
Ce concept s'applique très bien aux constructions à structure de poutres et
poteaux , sans s'y
restreindre.
Les découpes latérales usinées de la bille permettent de réaliser des joints
étanches et performants.
Selon les différentes applications, le détail de réalisation de ces joints est
primordial pour l'intégrité
de l'ensemble du mur.
