English Abstract

The invention provides an improvement to waterless cleaner, polish products.
With a proper mix
of a foaming agent, FOAMTEK.TM. washes and waxes a variety of vehicles such as
cars, boats, etc.,
without water. FOAMTEK.TM. is a very easy to use, just spray a small quantity
on the surface and
instantly the foam starts to work, the cleaning agents breakdown the dirt and
instantly liquidizes,
raising it off the surface. The foam also contains the liquid polymer wax that
moves to the surface
giving a protective coat before wiping the dirt off. Lightly wipe the dirt off
with a soft towel, which
absorbs the dirt while the wax allows it to glide across without scratching
the surface. The
remaining wax will now dry to a light haze, at this point a clean towel is
used to buff off the haze
leaving behind a glossy shine and a waxed protective finish.

Claims

Note: Claims are shown in the official language in which they were submitted.

CLAIMES

1. FOAMTEK.TM. is the only waterless, cleaner protector that foams.
(note: variable words may be used, foaming, mousse, bubbly)

2. Two different aerosol applications available:
The standard spray can with no cfc's, but using a gas as the propellant
activating the foam. The
second type of spray can contains no cfc's and no hydrocarbon propellants.
This spray can uses a
P.E.T. inner molded bottle with a surrounding rubber sleeve using elastic
pressure to propel.
FOAMTEK.TM. uses both types of aerosols for its waterless cleaner protector
application.

3. FOAMTEK.TM. can be used on all types of painted and non-porous surfaces.

Description

DESC~I~~
The invention of FOAMTEKTM started with basic principals of other waterless
cleaning, protecting
products that were available in 1997. These products were not highly
successfi;dl because it was
difficult to show the consumer that it would not scratch the painted surface.
The product has been in development since 1997 and only now in. 2003 have we
at Van l~oorn
International ine. made it completely different, so different that there is no
other product for
FOAMTEKTM to be compared to.
First it must be made clear that with all methods of cleaning a vehicle, there
will always be micro
scratches that will remain na matter what type of cleaning method is used. The
reason for this is that
there is no cleaning agent that is able to dissolve sand (silica) without
harming the painted surface.
These particles will remain behind and may have friction with the; surface,
but will take a few years
of accumulation before they become apparent. All painted surfaces will
eventually require to be
compounded out.
FOAlVITEKTM is a safe and reliable product for cleaning all types of painted
surfaces without using
valuable treated water. FOAMTEKT~ is extremely easy to use, time saving, just
the fact that it
cleans and waxes the surface with three steps in under 30 seconds, doing a
complete vehicle ro-
under 30 minutes. Compare that to washing then drying, followed by applying a
wax and buffing it
off, this procedure takes about 2-3 hours.
FOAMTEKTM is the only existing waterless cleaner protector, wii:h a foaming
action. It's the
foaming agent that makes it a completely unique product, there is nothing to
compare it to
FOAMTEKTM in this category. The foaming agents are what makes this product
work, and shows
the consumer that it works.
How it works is simple, FOAMTEKTM is sprayed on the dirty surface, instantly
upon contact with
the surface the dirt, industrial fallout, insect remains, bird excrement and
other foreign particles
become liquidated. At the same moment the foaming agent will lift the filth
off the sLUface,
allowing the heavier wax polymers settle on the surface under the: filth.
After 5 to 10 seconds the
residue is wiped off with a soft towel absorbing all the dirt and excess
liquid, the wax that is on the
surface allows the towel to glide across and prevent any particles from making
contact to the
surface. Now that the excess is removed, the wax layer left behind will dry
when the petroleum
distillates evaporate within 10 - 1 S seconds, leaving a haze on the painted
surface. Once the haze
appears a new clean towel is used to buff off the haze that will leave the
surface with an extremely
high glossy protected finish.
Keeping wax in a liquid state requires the use of petroleum distillates, which
are also anti-foamers
that is why it is difficult to get a wax able to foam. FOAMTEKTM has the
perfect balance of
cleaners, petroleum distillate, wax, and foaming agents to make ii: a unique
waterless cleaner
protector for all types of painted or non- porous surfaces.
