Description
"The SleenRight Back and Leg Wed2e System" invention evolved in the last
trimester of my
pregnancy in December of 2004. Many companies on the market today, such as
Obusforme,
Mediflow, Dr Oswald's Ergo-Health Pillow, and Tempurpedic offer a variety of
different
support products, however after my extensive search, I found what I required
had not yet been
brought to market. I needed not only to achieve the proper support and relief
from pressure and
fatigue to my spine, muscles and joints, but also, it was extremely important
to maintain proper
blood flow to my baby while I slept, by not rolling onto my back. Designed to
work together,
this system I created, successfully achieved this support simultaneously.
"The SleegRight Back and Leg Wedge System" enables you to relax the muscles
and joints in
the area of the lower lumbar region. If you are pregnant, blood flow is best
for your baby while
lying on your left side. This system completely stops you from rolling onto
your back while
supporting that proper blood flow due to the contoured design of the wedge.
There are a variety
of ways to use this system during and even after pregnancy that will assist in
providing quality
sleep and premium support.
"TheS1eepRight Back and Leg Wedge System" wedges are comprised of two
different styles
of foam. The outer layering of the Back Wedge (see Figure 1) is made from
standard "furniture
grade" foam, while an interior layer of memory foam (see Figure 2) is glued to
the inside area
that has direct contact to the body. This allows the wedge to cradle to the
body's exact curves
once the adjustable belt has been fastened around the front of the body to the
desired position.
(see Figure 5) After the Back Wedge has been fastened securely in place, you
can choose a
position, for example, sitting on a chair, or lying down. The Leg Wedge (see
Figures 3 & 4) is
solely made from the "furniture grade" foam and consists of a gradual incline
that supports the
elevation of the legs to properly support the spine and also assists in
minimizing pressure and
fatigue to the muscles and joints. The entire system simultaneously and
successfully achieves
reduced strain and stress on your lower lumbar region. Both wedges come with
removable,
washable outer cases and the Back Wedge case has a handy pocket compartment
(see Figure 5)
for use with various items such as: magazines, cold pack or a heating pad
(only after pregnancy).
