MEASURING TOOL COMBINING PROTRACTOR AND CARPENTER'S
INK MARKER

The present invention relates to a measuring tool and, more
particularly, to a measuring tool to measure an angle or dimension of an
object,
such as a sheet plate, floor board, tile and the like.

A conventional measuring tool comprises a ruler, a protractor and a
carpenter's ink marker and the like. When an object, such as a wooden sheet
plate, floor board, tile and the like, is to be measured and located, the
ruler, the
protractor and the carpenter's ink marker co-operate to form inclined lines or

l0 vertical lines on the surface of the object. Thus, a user can cut the
object along
the lines formed by co-operation of the ruler, the protractor and the
carpenter's
ink marker so that the object is cut to have different shapes according to the
user's requirement. However, the user has to hold the ruler, the protractor
and
the carpenter's ink marker respectively to proceed the measuring actions,

thereby greatly causing inconvenience to the user in the measuring process,
and thereby decreasing the precision of measurement.

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a
measuring tool, comprising a basis plate, a protractor mounted on the basis
plate, and a carpenter's ink marker integrally combined with the protractor
and
provided with a retractable inking line attached to the protractor.

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a
measuring tool combining a protractor and a carpenter's ink marker.

i

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a measuring
tool, wherein the carpenter's ink marker and the protractor are combined to
measure and locate a large-scale or small-scale object of a building easily
and
quickly, thereby facilitating a user operating the measuring tool, and thereby
saving the working time.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide a measuring
tool, wherein the protractor is located at different positions of the object,
and
the inking line is movable with the carpenter's ink marker to align with the
angle scales of the protractor and to form inclined or vertical lines on the

surface of the object, so that the object is cut along the lines formed by the
inking line to have different shapes according to the user's requirement.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide a measuring
tool, wherein the carpenter's ink marker is received in the receiving seat
when
not in use, thereby facilitating the user storing and carrying the carpenter's
ink
marker.

Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become
apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate
reference to the accompanying drawings.
