English Abstract

A Boot Sleeve is an item of clothing fabricated from substantial material
intended for use
in conjunction with work boots.

Claims

Note: Claims are shown in the official language in which they were submitted.

Claim
The Boot Sleeve consists of a piece of sturdy fabric such as canvas to which
is attached a
piece of heavy-duty elastic and stitched in such a manner to form a
cylindrical, cone-
shaped sleeve. It is intended that the boot sleeve be worn around the leg
above the ankle
in such a manner that the top is firmly fitted to the leg and the remainder of
the fabric
surrounds the upper part of the work boot.

Description

Note: Descriptions are shown in the official language in which they were submitted.

CA 02652969 2009-02-16
Description
The boot sleeve is applied by pulling the sleeve up over the foot. The work
boot is then
placed on the foot and the sleeve is then pulled down over the upper portion
of the boot.
The boot sleeve's primary function is the keep unwanted debris such as stones,
gravel and
vegetation from entering the upper portion of the work boot.
By design the boot sleeve can be fabricated in various sizes to ensure a firm
yet
comfortable fit around the leg, creating a cover that protects both the foot
and the boot.
The boot sleeve may be fabricated with a triangular shaped gusset to allow
freedom of
movement, easier application and adjustable fit to the leg using a fastening
mechanism
such as VelcroTM.
