Claims

Note: Claims are shown in the official language in which they were submitted.

CLAIMS
1 A plastic paint brush ferrule made through plastic injection moulding having
an
exterior face and an interior face and having a first end and a second end and
the interior
face have been divided in to the two section by a diaphragm like separator
wall, the first
interior section and the second interior section, comprising;

(a) the first end is designed to work as a socket and having matching holding
ears
lucking mechanism with the paint applicator handle for receiving the
connection of the
paint applicator handle; and

(b) the second end is designed to locate the filaments; and

(c) a diaphragm like separator wall having two sides, the first end side and
the second
end side, located inside of the interior face and dividing the interior face
in to the two
section and having opening holes large enough to allow the glue to pass
through from the
first interior section into the second interior section and small enough for
holding back
the filaments and preventing them of falling through the first interior
section ; and

(d) having the feeding tube connected to its first end side and it passing
through the
second interior section and the feeding tube having a cone shape cap to stop
the liquid to
travel straight out of the filaments and an opening hole over the top of the
spacer ; and
(e) the spacer which is located over the top and the middle of the separator
wall having
a chisel shape on its front end of it to guide the filaments to the either
side and by locating
it just about the under the opening hole on the feeding tube creating a cavity
to allow the
discharged liquid to travel evenly in the middle of the filaments; and
(f) as an optional design, the center of the separator wall in the interior
section of the
ferrule is extended toward the second end of the ferrule taking the shape of
an arch and
in the time of assembly, when the filaments are placed into the second
interior section of
the ferrule over the second end side of the separator wall, the tip of the
filament will take
and assume the shape of the arch; and

2 In manufacturing of the paint brush and the paint brush ferrule and the
method of
its assembly as claimed in claim 1, in a method for the guiding the paint
toward the tip of
the filaments in the brush making process, the sides of the spacer of the
filaments on the
time of the assembly is wrapped up by a selectable length of fabric or other
material such
as silicon from 4 sides with an opening side toward the tip of the filaments
and after the
glue has poured in from the first interior section will passing through the
separator wall
and bound the filaments and the spacer and the ferrule together and the paint
will pass
through from the feeding tube in the first interior section in to the middle
of the filaments
and the top of the spacer in the second interior section.

3 In manufacturing of the paint brush and the paint brush ferrule and the
method of
its assembly as claimed in claim land claim 2, as a method for the guiding the
paint

toward the tip of the filaments is to have a selectable size and thickness and
the type of
the material such as a silicon tape with an example of an optional size of
0.5mm thickness
and 30 mm wideness to wrap around the filaments from the edge of the second
end of the
ferrule toward the tip of the filaments and securing the tape to the filaments
by placing it
in to the ferrule along with the filaments or glue such as liquid silicon that
bounds the
silicon tape to the filaments and because of its flexibility and low thickness
it will not
interfere with the painting application.

4 In manufacturing of the manual paint applicator handle without the pump and
the power painting system, comprising;
( a ) the handle having two ends the first end and the second end and the
second end
having designed to connect to the extension pole such as a broomstick which
has the
screw type connection; and
(b) as an option the applicator handle is designed to work and bend like a
hinge for
giving a selectable angle to the paint applicators and by locating the bend
able section of
the applicator handle just before the second end of the applicator handle in
which the
connection of the extension pole is provided, it will not effect the hand grip
quality of the
handle; and

( c ) the first end of the applicator handle have been designed and carved to
receive
different size and type of the paint applicators such as 2.5 inch or 3 inch
paint brush
ferrule or roller cage assembly; and

(d) the first end of the paint applicator handle designed to work as a socket
and
equipped with the holding ears lucking mechanism for receiving the connection
of the
ferrules or the shaft of the roller cage assembly.

SPECIFICATION
FILD OF THE INVENTION
This invention relates to an improved paint brush and the paint brush ferrule
and
the method of the manufacturing them.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Commonly paint brush ferrule are made by metal and after placing the filaments
and the spacer into the ferrule, for preventing the filament to slide out of
the
ferrule, a selectable piece of a metal sheet is placed inside of the ferrule
next to
the filaments and secured to the filaments by epoxy resin and with the nail or
screw along with the ferrule are connected to the paint applicator handle in
which
commonly the applicator handles are made of wood or plastic, and mostly all
the
steps of the manufacturing of the paint brush is done by hand and it is time
consuming and for use with the powered paint applicator handles it is
impossible
to make an exact copy and the size and the quality to match the paint
applicator
handle and its requirements and the paint applicator handles have had a single
rule of being just an applicator handle.
SUMMERY OF THE INVENTION
I have found these disadvantages may be over come by modifying the way the
paint brush have had been manufactured and the material in which it has been
made of such as manufacturing the paint applicator handle and the ferrule with
plastic through the plastic injection moulding system and by modifying the
structure of the ferrule and the handle creating more useable feature on them.
In manufacturing a ferrule for paint brush the ferrule having a first end and
a
second end and an exterior face and an interior face and the interior face
have
been divided in to the two sections the first interior section and the second
interior section and having a diaphragm like separator wall in the interior
face of
the ferrule with the opening holes large enough to allow the glue to pass
through
from the first interior section in to the second interior section and small
enough to
stop the filaments to fall through the first interior section from the second
interior
section.
In addition as an optional model the center of the separator wall in the
interior
section of the ferrule is extended toward the second end of the ferrule taking
the
shape of an arch and in the time of assembly when the filaments are placed
into
the second end of the interior section, the tip of the filaments will take and
assume the shape of the arch from the separator wall and for joining and for
the
connection of the ferrule to the paint applicator handle matching holding ears
lucking mechanism to the paint applicator handle on the first end of the
ferrule is
provided.
And for use the ferrule with powered paint applicator handle a feeding tube
and a
guide for the feeding tube on the separator wall has been provided and for
guiding the paint to the tip of the filaments from the feeding tube in the
manufacturing process either the spacer in the middle of the filaments or the
filaments have been wrapped from 4 sides with an opening hole toward the tip
of
the filaments with a selectable length of a fabric or a tarp or other material
such
as silicon and the feeding tube which has been extended toward the second end
of the ferrule having a cap to stop the liquid to travel straight out of the
ferrule

and having a hole on the above the spacer to allow the paint to pass through
from the feeding tube to the middle of the filaments.
And as an another option for guiding the paint toward the tip of the filaments
is to
have a selectable size and thickness and the type of the material such as a
silicon tape in less than 1 mm thickness and 30 mm wideness to wrap around
the filaments from the edge of the second end of the ferrule toward the tip of
the
filaments and securing the tape to the filaments by glue such as the liquid
silicon
that bounds the silicon tape to the filaments and because of the flexibility
and low
thickness of the silicon it dose not interfere with the painting application
and in
manufacturing of the manual paint applicator handle without the pump and the
power painting system, the handle having two ends the first end and the second
end and the second end having designed to connect to the extension pole such
as a broomstick which has the screw type connection and as an option the
applicator handle is designed to work and bend like a hinge for giving a
selectable angle to the paint applicators and by locating the hinge just
before the
second end of the applicator handle in which the connection of the extension
pole is provided, it will not effect the hand grip quality of the handle and
the first
end of the applicator handle have been designed and carved to receive
different
size and type of the paint applicators such as 2.5 inch or 3 inch paint brush
ferrule or roller cage assembly and equipped with the holding ears lucking
mechanism for receiving the connection of the ferrules or the shaft of the
roller
cage assembly.
