English Abstract

This invention is a system designed to produce sounds which:
1) Cause birds to depart/flee from any running aircraft engine, whether on air
or on ground;
2) Communicate to other aircraft, whether on air, water, or land, regarding
the presence and
/ or proximity any moving aircraft;
3) Alert other aircraft, persons, on ground or on air, of any situations which
have the nature
of an emergency, extreme danger, or a need for rescue.
The system components are:
a) a sensor which detects, or is activated by birds and aircraft flying within
realistic radius,
North, East, South, and West of the aircraft;
b) a computer device in the cockpit which automatically generates
sounds/noises
transmitted electronically to the sensor (installed at the tail end) and
further released into
the atmosphere within the above specified radius;
c) electrical system connecting sensor and computer device;
d) sound box.

CLAIMS
I / We claim:
1. Claim 1 is an aircraft-sensory system which automatically produces noises
and sounds,
as well as manually generated sounds and noises for aircraft and aviation
purposes.
2. The system of Claim 2 wherein the Sound Box has pre-recorded, computer-
stored
sounds/noises. This Sound Box in the cockpit of the plane automatically
activates when
and an object, i.e, bird, aircraft, or any other flying object crosses the
sensor.
3. The system of Claim 2 wherein sounds/noises from the Sound Box are
electronically
transmitted thru cables from the Sound Box to a Component at the tail end,

near the sensor where it is released to generate the fleeing reaction of the
birds. The
sounds/noises are pre-recorded, computer- stored, three-dimensional,
circularly
travelling, and of a velocity and volume peculiarly perceived by birds (Class
AVIS)
as danger signals, causing them to flee/depart from running aircraft engines.
4. The system of Claim 2 where the horn-like sounds/noises from the Sound Box
are
manually produced by the pilot to alert near- collision aircraft , where the
sounds are
received by the other aircraft using a sensor activation process between
aircrafts.
5. The system of Claim 2 where the siren-like sounds/noises from the Sound
Box, of a
velocity and volume audible to people in a certain radius, are manually
produced by the
pilot to signal any emergency, danger, or need for rescue.
6. Claim 3 is the sensor located at the tail-end which activates the Sound
Box, each time
a flying object crosses it. It detects or is activated by birds and aircraft
flying within a
realistic radius North, East, South, and West of the aircraft.

ABSTRACT
This invention is a system designed to produce sounds which:
1) Cause birds to depart/flee from any running aircraft engine, whether on air
or on ground;
2) Communicate to other aircraft, whether on air, water, or land, regarding
the presence and
/ or proximity any moving aircraft;
3) Alert other aircraft, persons, on ground or on air, of any situations which
have the nature
of an emergency, extreme danger, or a need for rescue.
The system components are:
a) a sensor which detects, or is activated by birds and aircraft flying within
realistic radius,
North, East, South, and West of the aircraft;
b) a computer device in the cockpit which automatically generates
sounds/noises
transmitted electronically to the sensor (installed at the tail end) and
further released into
the atmosphere within the above specified radius;
c) electrical system connecting sensor and computer device;
d) sound box.
DESCRIPTION
The three (3) sounds (1), (2), and (3), mentioned in the Abstract will be
produced as follows:
No. (1) above will be a pre-recorded, computer- stored sound, which is a three-
dimensional,
circularly travelling sound wave of a velocity and volume peculiarly perceived
by birds (Class
AVIS), as danger signals, causing them to flee/depart from running aircraft
engines.
This sound is automatically produced as a sensor senses the presence of birds
and aircraft, and
activates the sound box in the cockpit of the airplane.
A large percentage of aircraft accidents are due to birds entering the engine
area of the aircraft,
and eventually getting entangled therein. Birds die and aircraft engine need
to be either cleaned
up or replaced. This, on top of the delays in scheduled flights, hotel
accommodations and other
costs for airline passengers, and the million-dollar compensation for loss of
life and property.
Thai the decades, various sounds have been developed aimed at causing birds
not to go near the
aircraft engine, but with not much success.

PAGE 2
The reason why birds are attracted to the whirr of a running aircraft engine,
at whatever altitude,
is that the air waves generated by the engine, make easy enjoyable gliding for
them. The birds
do not have to exert any flying effort, they will just glide or float, in the
air waves or wind
vibrations coming from the running engine. Hence, the attraction to running
engine aircraft.
There are natural phenomena, i.e. rain, tremors, thunder, etc., that birds
avoid or flee from
following their survival instinct.
The sound produced in this device approximates the sound of the above-
mentioned natural
phenomena, in terms of frequency, velocity, and volume such that even within a
five hundred
meter radius birds instinctively recognize it, resulting in their fleeing away
from the aircraft's
running engine
No. (2) above will be a sound produced thru a sensor activation process
between aircrafts.
As the pilot senses aircraft in his radar, he will manually activate his sound
box which will
automatically register and activate the sound box of the other aircraft with a
horn-like
sound/noise signaling the other aircraft pilot to keep distance.
No. (3) above will be a siren¨like sound/noise different for (1) and (2),
above.
When the pilot is in an emergency/danger/needing rescue situation, he will
manually activate his
sound box to produce the siren-like sound , which is of a high velocity and
decibel clearly
audible to people alerting them of the particular situation.
