Frame Module for a Cabinet or a Drawer
Specification
The invention relates to a frame module for a drawer or a cabinet, which
frame module can be set into a drawer, preferably of a lower kitchen cabinet,
or into
the cabinet itself, for example, on a removable platform or the like.
A device for receiving containers is known from DE 100 62 910 C2 which
device is intended to be arranged in a drawer. In order to be able to use the
entire
drawer width even in drawers with a laterally raised drawer bottom or with a
lateral
rail, DE 100 62 010 C2 suggests providing the cited device with standing feet
that
extend downward over side walls of the device. These standing feet are
manufactured of metallic sheeting, just like the rest of the device. In
addition, this
device comprises lateral boreholes in a front wall that are intended to make
it
possible to screw it to the drawer recess or to the drawer front.
The device known from DE 100 62 910 C2 is designed in a relatively
complicated manner and is correspondingly expensive. In addition, since the
entire
load of the containers can load the standing feet, high requirements are
placed on
the stability of the entire construction. Furthermore, the described device
must be
precisely adapted in its dimensions to the width of the drawer, which
adversely
affects its usability. Accordingly, the manufacturing and storage costs become

greater since each drawer width must have its own model manufactured and
stored.
The invention has the basic problem of creating a frame module for a drawer
for a cabinet that can be set into a drawer, preferably of a lower kitchen
cabinet, or
into the cabinet itself, which module overcomes the previously cited
disadvantages
of the prior art and makes possible a comparatively simple construction and
economical manufacture and makes it possible for it to be used in a flexible
manner.
1

CA 02838690 2014-01-08
Furthermore, the invention is based on the problem of indicating a modular
system
that is based on this frame module and that makes the most efficient use
possible of
the space available in the drawer or the cabinet, whereby an aesthetically
pleasing
total impression should be achieved and whereby in particular it should be
avoided
that trash or other objects can get into difficultly accessible places inside
the drawer
or the cabinet.
These problems are solved by a frame module in accordance with claim 1 and
by a modular system in accordance with claim 19. Advantageous further
developments of the frame module in accordance with the invention and of the
modular system in accordance with the invention are subject matter of
subclaims
whose text is taken up herewith by express reference into the specification in
order
to avoid repetitions of text.
When the suitability of the frame module for being used in a drawer is
discussed in the following, this also always concerns the use in a cabinet or
some
other comparable piece of furniture, e.g., in shelving or a chest of drawers
without
this being explicitly mentioned. This includes furniture with (rotating)
drawers and/or
flaps (trapdoors).
The frame module in accordance with the invention for a drawer or a cabinet
that can be set into a drawer, preferably of a lower kitchen cabinet, or into
a cabinet
itself comprises a body that is built up from side walls, a bottom side that
faces the
bottom of the drawer or of the cabinet, and an upper side that faces away from
the
bottom of the drawer or of the cabinet, whereby at least receptacle is
provided in or
on the top of the body for inserting and/or suspending at least one object,
preferably
a trash container or the like. The frame module is distinguished by connection

means which connection means are constructed and arranged in order connect or
2

CA 02838690 2014-01-08
couple the frame module with a closing element for a flush closing to the
drawer or to
the cabinet, preferably to a drawer bottom, and/or with a connecting element
for
connecting at least two frame modules to each other.
In this manner the frame module can be flexibly adapted via the connection
means to different furniture dimensions, in particular inside drawer
dimensions, in
order to avoid the cited problems in a simple and economical manner in that
the
frame module can be used in a modular and versatile manner ¨ even inside the
system in accordance with the invention.
It can be provided that the frame module comprises a body whose side walls
are substantially closed to their full extent and/or are constructed with a
constant wall
height.
When the concept "substantially" is used above and in the following, this
means the most exact correspondence possible within the frame of customary
tolerances of production, manufacturing and arrangement. The feature according
to
which the sidewalls of the body are substantially closed to their full extent
explicitly
includes the fact that perforations or holding troughs are present in the area
of the
side walls for a simplified handling of the frame module of the invention.
However, certain side walls of the body can alternatively also be provided
with
recesses in order to save material and weight.
Contrary to the teaching of the prior art cited further above, according to
which
the device there prescribes standing feet and a relatively open body with a
circumferentially greatly varying wall height in order to create frame modules
in this
manner that could be set in a space-utilizing manner into a drawer with, for
example,
a raised bottom or a lateral rail, the currently described frame module
provides in a
further development of the invention a substantially closed body with a
preferably
3

CA 02838690 2014-01-08
circumferentially constant wall height that can be inserted into a drawer with
any
construction and stands up in it substantially with its entire circumferential
bottom
edge.
Consequently, a comparatively simple and correspondingly economical
construction is created that comprises at least one receptacle on or in the
upper side
into which practically any objects such as, e.g., buckets, bottles, containers
or the
like can be inserted -in accordance with the shape, number and size of the
receptacle. The concept "receptacle" comprises in this context openings, i.e.,

perforations in the material of the upper side as well as recesses, i.e.,
areas
constructed in one piece or throughout the material of the upper side and
provided in
the upper side of the material.
A preferred embodiment of the frame module in accordance with the invention
provides that the frame module is substantially open at its bottom side. This
embodiment contributes to the saving of material and therefore permits an
economical design of the frame module.
A profile is advantageously formed on the upper side of the body, preferably
in at least one of its edge areas for creating the cited connection means,
which
profile preferably has the shape of at least one recess (groove) and/or of at
least one
projection of the body, very preferably in one piece with the rest of the
body. This
profile serves to receive at least one connection element for connecting two
correspondingly profiled frame modules to one another and/or to receive at
least one
closing element for a flush closing of the frame module with the drawer. The
connection means, especially the profile, can extend substantially over the
entire
length of the particular edge area. When using appropriately constructed
connection
4

CA 02838690 2014-01-08
elements a slot between two adjacent frame modules can be completely covered
in
a simple manner like this, which contributes to improved hygiene.
The connection means is very preferably arranged in at least two opposing
edge areas of the body. Furthermore, the cited connection means (grooves) are
preferably identically constructed. As a consequence, the frame module can be
used
in a totally reversible manner. The same also advantageously applies to the
components of the closing elements and connecting elements that cooperate with

the connecting means.
The providing of connecting means, in particular the cited profiles, on the
frame modules makes it possible to connect several modules to each other with
these connecting elements. This advantageously makes possible an individual
and
variable arrangement of several frame modules inside a drawer, whereby
reference
should be made at this point to the ability to adapt to the drawer dimensions
as well
as to the possibility of realizing individual design wishes of the user in
form and in
function.
Another preferred embodiment of the frame module in accordance with the
invention provides that the receptacle is substantially constructed as an
opening
and/or recess with a rectangular cross section. The designing of the
receptacle as a
rectangular opening makes it possible to insert correspondingly rectangular
containers such as, e.g., trash cans, into the frame module in a positive
manner. For
example, the designing of the receptacle in the manner of a rectangular recess

makes possible the insertion of rectangular objects into the frame module such
as,
for example, waste paper, various devices (packaging) or the like.
Another further development of the frame module in accordance with the
invention advantageously provides that the recess is substantially designed as
an

CA 02838690 2014-01-08
opening and/or recess with a circular cross section. The design of the
receptacle in
the manner of a substantially circular or round opening makes it possible to
set in
objects with a round diameter such as, for example, bottles but also to
suspend
round containers. The design of the receptacle as a round recess makes
possible
the insertion of various objects or also to insert objects with a round
diameter such
as, for example, bottles.
However, the invention is not limited to certain shapes of the receptacle.
Several receptacles with different shapes and sizes can also be provided in a
frame
module.
The receptacle is advantageously provided with cross bars for inserting and
suspending objects, which cross bars extend over the receptacle in the manner
of a
grate. This makes possible, for example, a suspension, storing or also a
drying of
different objects such as, for example, hand towels, washcloths, sponges or
the like.
Several receptacles are advantageously provided on a frame module in
accordance with the invention that is further developed in a corresponding
manner,
whereby they preferably have different dimensions and geometries. This
increases
the usability of the frame module.
In an extremely preferred further development of the frame module in
accordance with the invention there is the possibility of providing it in the
area of its
upper receptacle ¨ even subsequently ¨ with an insert that for its part
comprises at
least one receptacle of the type described above. In this manner the frame
module
can be flexibly adapted for possible uses. For example, such an insert can be
designed for receiving (several) bottles while another insert is provided for
suspending or inserting at least one trash can. An insert like the grate
described
above can also be realized. In this manner, basically one and the same frame
6

CA 02838690 2014-01-08
module can always be used that is subsequently adapted according to the wish
of
the user for certain usages. This insert is or can be arranged preferably in a
non-
positive and/or positive manner in the area of the top receptacle of the frame

module.
Another preferred embodiment of the frame module in accordance with the
invention is distinguished in that recesses are provided in the side walls at
least on a
few side walls of the body in the area of the bottom side, that serve for the
arranging
in the drawer, in which recesses anti-sliding elements, preferably rubber
elements,
are arranged which anti-sliding elements serve to ensure a frictional contact
between
the frame module and the bottom of the drawer and close substantially flush
with the
side walls of the frame module.
This has the advantage that the frame module can be inserted in a non-
slipping and therefore also stationary manner into a drawer and does not
shift, for
example, when the door is rapidly opened and closed. It is pointed out here
that the
anti-sliding elements serve only to ensure the frictional contact between the
frame
module and the bottom of the drawer and otherwise close in a substantially
flush
manner with the side walls of the frame module. They are not standing feet in
the
sense of the cited prior art that serve to raise the previously known device
and its
side walls relative to the bottom of the drawer.
The anti-sliding elements, for example, two, are advantageously arranged at a
certain distance from one another at least on opposite side walls of the body.
The providing of the anti-sliding elements on opposite side walls of the body
of the frame module makes it possible to establish a uniform frictional
contact
between the frame module and the bottom of the drawer and thus achieve a
sufficient stability.
7

CA 02838690 2014-01-08
The body of the frame module is advantageously constructed substantially
rectangularly. A substantially rectangular construction of the body of the
frame
module offers the possibility, while simultaneously realizing appropriately
suitable
(standard) dimensions, of inserting several frame modules adjacent to each
other or
in front of and behind each other into a regular, substantially rectangular
drawer. As
a result, user wishes regarding the shape and function can be realized in a
purposeful manner and there is the advantage of arranging several frame
modules
that can be expanded as desired (even subsequently) and that can preferably be

coupled to the already mentioned connection elements in particular to avoid
dirtying
the drawer or the loss of objects.
Holding troughs (recesses) or holding openings (perforations) are
advantageously arranged in the side walls of the body of the frame module.
This
simplifies or makes possible the insertion, the removal or also the ability to
transport
the frame module.
A preferred embodiment of the frame module in accordance with the invention
provides that the dimensions of a frame module or of several frame modules
connected to each other are coordinated with or can be adapted to the standard

dimensions of a drawer, preferably, but without limitation, to a width of 60
cm,
preferably at the most to a drawer with a width of 90 cm or 120 cm. For
example,
there is the possibility in this connection of constructing the frame module
with a
preferred rectangular construction with a (short) side length of somewhat less
than
30 cm, for example, approximately 23 cm, because the previously cited drawer
widths have a whole-number multiple of this value of 30 cm on the outside but
are
limited to smaller values in their inside dimension. The other, in particular
longer side
of the frame module can preferably have a length of somewhat less than 50 cm.
In
8

CA 02838690 2014-01-08
this manner drawers of the previously cited widths can be filled with frame
modules
specifically in accordance with the arrangement geometry and depth desired by
the
user. Remaining gaps can be readily bridged with the discussed connecting
elements or closing elements that can be present in different widths. The user
can
also decide to leave a partial area of the drawer free of frame modules in
order to be
able to place other objects there.
Therefore, in particular in the case of drawers with normal or standard
measurements frame modules with correspondingly normed dimensions can be
selected and combined in a purposeful manner. An exchange or a subsequent
arranging of one or more frame modules is facilitated as a consequence.
However,
the invention is not limited to this. It is pointed out again that even one or
several
frame modules can be arranged inside a drawer without the drawer being
completely
filled up by the frame modules or without the drawer or the frame module
having
certain standard measurements. This makes available a plurality of individual
and
combination solutions designed as desired inside a drawer.
The frame module is advantageously constructed from a plastic. This makes
possible an economic and at the same time lightweight construction of the
frame
module of the invention. The cited connection- and closing elements can also
be
constructed from plastic or alternately from metal (e.g., steel sheeting).
A modular system in accordance with the invention, that comprises at least
one frame module in accordance with the invention, is distinguished in that at
least
one closing element that is constructed in areas complementary to the
connection
means is arranged on the connection means of the frame module, which closing
element extends laterally over the frame module at least in the area of a side
surface
of the body preferably ¨ but not necessarily ¨ to the height of the lower body
edge.
9

CA 02838690 2014-01-08
The closure element serves to close against the outside an area inside or
outside of
the drawer or of the cabinet, preferably at least in the area of a side
surface of the
body, so that no objects or dirt can penetrate into this area. To this end the
closing
element can close substantially flush with the bottom side of the frame
module.
The closing element can be connected to the frame module in the area of the
connection means, in particular in a non-positive or positive manner, and
extends
laterally over the frame module in the mounted state with a certain lateral
distance
from the body of the frame module. As a result, a closure is created that is
aesthetically attractive and also preferred from a hygienic standpoint in
particular in
the edge area of the drawer, whereby the closing element can extend to the
outside
over an edge or a side wall or rail of the drawer. However, a closing element
of the
previously described type can also be used inside the drawer for purposes of
closure.
The closing element is advantageously provided - as already mentioned -
inside the drawer for a flush contact with the bottom of the drawer. This
advantageously prevents particles of dirt from being able to penetrate in
particular
into the edge area between the drawer and the frame module and settle there,
which
is not attractive and can allow nests of bacteria to be created.
An alternative modular system in accordance with the invention is
distinguished in that at least two frame modules with the cited connection
means are
present, which frame modules can be connected or are connected to each other
by
at least one connection element constructed complementary to the particular
connection means of the frame module. A connection of several frame modules by
a
connection element makes it possible to reversibly connect several frame
modules to

CA 02838690 2014-01-08
each other and therefore increase the possibilities of using the modular
system and
of the frame modules, which had already been pointed out above.
The connection element is advantageously constructed in such a manner that
it cooperates positively and/or non-positively with the connection means of
the one
frame module as well as with the connection means of the other frame module.
To
this end the frame modules are arranged adjacent to one another in such a
manner
that the particular connection means face one another and are located in the
contact
area of the two frame modules. The connection element then engages into the
connection means of the one frame module as well as into the connection means
of
the other frame module, therewith preferably bridging a slot remaining between
the
two frame modules and closes this slot. For this reason the connection means
of the
frame modules preferably extend over the complete particular side length of
the
frame module, and the connection element is constructed in one part/throughout
with
a corresponding length, preferably approximately like a U-profile with, in
particular,
double-bent edges. The latter preferably also applies to the fastening edge of
the
closing element.
However, the invention is in no way limited to the previously described
exemplary embodiments. In particular, several separate connection elements can
be
used for connecting two frame modules. Moreover, they do not have to be U-
shaped.
The closure elements as well as the connection elements are preferably
designed in
such a manner that they cover during the course of their arrangement in or on
the
particular profile of the frame module, this profile itself (in particular
when it is
constructed as a preferably groove-like recess) as well as a slot between the
frame
module and the drawer or a slot between two frame modules in order that no
unattractive and unhygienic contaminations occur.

The frame modules of the modular system are preferably constructed and
arranged for receiving several objects, even of different types, preferably
several
containers. This achieves the advantages that were already mentioned above.
The
frame modules can be reversible inside the modular system, in particular if
they
comprise (identical) connection means on at least two opposing sides.
A preferred embodiment of the modular system provides that the dimensions
of the modular system correspond substantially to the (inside) dimensions of
the
drawer, preferably of a drawer with standard or normal dimensions or slightly
smaller
than a particular grate dimension, e.g., 30 cm. As already mentioned above,
the
available space inside the drawer can therefore be utilized practically
completely.
Other advantages and properties of the present invention are explained in the
following with reference made to the figures and to exemplary embodiments.

Figure 7 shows the modular system from figure 2 in an alternative
arrangement and view.
Figure 1 shows a partial view of a frame module 1 in accordance with the
invention in a three-dimensional view. The frame module 1 comprises a
circumferentially closed, rectangular body K, whereby a first (shorter) side
wall 2 of
the frame module 1 and a second (longer) side wall 3 are shown. The side walls
of
the frame module have approximately the same wall height H that is
continuously
constant, so that on the whole a box shape or crate shape results. Slight
deviations
from this will be discussed in more detail in the following.
Two recesses 15 are provided in the first side wall 2 into which recesses anti-

sliding elements (not shown) can be inserted so that they close approximately
flush
with the lower edge of the side wall 2. Two or more recesses (not shown) for
anti-
sliding elements (not shown) can also be provided on the opposite, first side
wall (not
shown). These anti-sliding elements serve to establish a frictional contact
between
the frame module 1 and a surface (drawer bottom) on which the frame module 1
was
placed, preferably the drawer bottom.
A profile 6 is arranged on the area of the upper side 0 of the frame module 1
on the particular edge of the second side wall 3, which profile 6 extends in
the
manner of a groove or trough with an approximately rectangular cross section
over
the entire side length of the frame module 1. In the exemplary embodiment
shown
the profile 6 and the groove or trough are designed in such a manner that the
edge-
side outer wall 6a, that limits the recess or groove from the outside, is
constructed to
be somewhat shorter than the opposite inner wall 6b. However, this is
basically not
required, so that a start is made in the framework of the present description
from a
substantially constant, circumferential height H of the side walls 2, 3. The
slight
13

CA 02838690 2014-01-08
lower size of the outer limitation 6a of the cited recess ensures that the
frame
module 1 can be connected to another frame module arranged adjacent to it in
the
area of the side wall 3 by a connection element still to be described that a
through
level surface results on the upper side 0 of the frame modules 1. In
principle, it is
sufficient for this if the dimensions in the area of 6a are smaller by one
material
thickness of the connection element, that is, by a few millimeters, than in
the area of
6b (cf. Figure 4).
In addition to the cited connection elements, closing elements (not shown)
can also be used in the profile 6. These closing elements serve to close flush
with
the side walls of the frame module 1 in the area of the bottom side and thus
prevent
the penetration of particles of dirt between frame module 1 and the drawer. On
the
other hand, the connection elements serve - as stated - to connect two or more

frame modules to one another. This produces a modular system with several
frame
modules which will be also be discussed further below.
The frame module according to the view in figure 1 comprises at least one
opening 4 on the upper side 0 which is designed as a perforation with a
rectangular
opening cross section. A suitably formed object, for example, a trash
container with
an appropriate rectangular outer contour can be set in the frame module 1 in
the
area of the opening 4. According to the dimension of the height of this object
the
object subsequently stands, like the frame module 1 on the bottom of the
drawer or it
is suspended in the edge area of the opening 4 or on the frame module 1 if the

object concerned is designed to be appropriately smaller than the height H of
the
side walls 2, 3 of the frame module 1 and has an edge suitable for being
suspended.
As a person skilled in the art readily recognizes, the invention is not
limited in
any way to the rectangular opening 4 shown here as an example. A number
14

CA 02838690 2014-01-08
(plurality) of even differently shaped openings can be present by way of
deviation, in
particular also round openings for receiving buckets, bottles or the like.
Instead of a
perforated opening 4, only a recess 9 or several such recesses can also be
present,
whereby the material in this area can be constructed in one piece with the
rest of the
material of the frame module 1.
Certain inserts or insert elements can also be provided in the scope of the
invention that can be inserted in the area of the opening 4 in accordance with
figure
1 into the frame module 1 in order to adapt the frame module 1 to different
purposes
of use. Such an insert can also be constructed like a grate for suspending and

drying towels, washcloths or the like on the rods of the grate.
Figure 2 shows a modular system 7 in accordance with the invention with
several frame modules (not recognizable) in accordance with the invention in a

drawer 8. A total of six rectangular containers 9 like (trash) cans are
arranged in the
modular system 7. Four of these containers 9 are covered by a covering 10 like
a
removable cover. The containers 9 each comprise ears 11 for being able to
remove
them from the frame module 1, for example, when filling or emptying the
buckets. A
closing element 12' (see figures 3, 4) is arranged on the side, which element
closes
flush on the one hand with the particular side wall of the frame module and on
the
other hand with a bottom 8a of the drawer 8 (see figures 3 and 4). The
containers 9
have a rectangular base form and have different sizes. However, the invention
should not be limited to this but rather the containers 9 can also have other
dimensions and/or geometries. Furthermore, it is also in the scope of the
invention
that figure 2 shows only a single frame module that is exactly adapted to the
dimensions of the drawer.

CA 02838690 2014-01-08
Figure 3 shows another frame module 1 in accordance with the invention in a
drawer 8 in section, which frame module 1, deviating from the embodiment in
figure
1, comprises lateral recesses A of the body K in order to save material and
weight.
Such recesses A can be present in all side walls of the body K. The frame
module 1
is provided according to figure 3 with two closing elements 12, 12' on the
side walls
3. The one closing element 12' is arranged in the direction of a side wall 8b
of the
frame 8 (on the left in the view) and extends over this side wall 8b as well
as also
over a rail 8c of the drawer 8, which rail is arranged in the extension of the
side wall
8b. By way of supplementation another side wall of a piece of furniture, for
example,
a lower kitchen cabinet, is shown which piece of furniture receives the drawer
8. A
second closing element 12 is arranged in the direction of the interior of the
drawer
(on the right in the view). The two closing elements 12, 12' have an
approximately
U-shaped design in cross section, whereby, however, the one free shank of the
U is
constructed to be clearly longer than the other free shank. The closing
elements 12,
12' are received with the shorter free shank inside a profile 6 of the frame
module 1
(see figure 1) and fill this profile 6 preferably completely up, whereby they
can be
fixed by bends (not recognizable) of their edges in a non-positive manner
(frictional
closure) in the profile 6. The slight lower size of the profile 6 in the area
6a (see
figure 1) can have the result that ¨ given a suitably selected material
thickness of the
closing elements 12, 12' at least in the area of the middle shank ¨ the latter

constitute a flush continuation of the upper side of the frame module 1 in the
lateral
direction. The longer free shank of the closing elements 12, 12' is
dimensioned in
such a manner in the present instance that it closes flush with the upper side
of the
drawer bottom 8a, which is significant in particular for the inner closing
element 12.
However, the invention is not limited to such a construction but rather the
longer free
16

CA 02838690 2014-01-08
shanks of the closing elements 12, 12' can also be designed to be shorter in
order to
save material and weight.
As can also be gathered from figure 3, the middle shank of the closing
element 12' is designed to be clearly longer than is the case in the closing
element
12. In this manner the closing element 12' can extend laterally over the side
wall 8b
and the rail 8c of the drawer 8, which was already pointed out. In contrast
thereto, on
account of the small dimension of the middle shank in the closing element 12
its
longer free shank rests directly over the entire surface on the side wall 3 of
the frame
module 1 so that in this manner the free space remaining inside the drawer 8
adjacent to the frame module 1 is adversely affected as little as possible.
There is the possibility of utilizing the free area (free space) in the drawer
8 (to
the right of the second closing element 12) as an individual stowage space by
arranging only one frame module 1 in the drawer 8.
Figure 4 shows the arrangement of two frame modules 1 a, lb in accordance
with the invention in a drawer 8, whereby the interior of the drawer 8 is
completely
filled up by the two frame modules 1. A connection element 1 is arranged
between
the two frame modules 1 for connecting the two frame modules to one another.
The
connection element 13 is constructed in the shape of a U-shaped profile
element
with approximately equally long free shanks that engage for their part into
the
profiles or grooves 6 known from figure 1 in the upper edge area of the frame
modules la, lb and fill them preferably completely. In this manner the middle
shank
of the connection element 13 closes a slot S that otherwise would remain
between
the frame modules 1a, lb arranged adjacent to one another so that no
contaminants
or the like can pass into the slot. Given a suitably selected material
thickness of the
connection element 13 in the area of the middle shank, the already mentioned

'
adaptation of the frame modules la, lb to one another in the area of the upper
side
0 results again. Almost any drawer widths can be filled out in a closed manner
via
the length of the middle shank of the connection element 13 in spite of using
only a
few different frame modules, if necessary when using only one module width.
The
same applied to the closing elements (see figure 3).
Figure 5 shows an alternative arrangement of two frame modules 1 in
accordance with the invention in a drawer 8 in a top view. In this embodiment
two
frame modules 1 are inserted into the drawer 8, whereby the frame modules 1
comprise two receptacles 5 in which receptacles 5 containers can be suspended
or
inserted. The two frame modules 1 are rotated by virtue of their reversibility
through
180 relative to one another or to the front F of the drawer, i.e., the
smaller one of the
two receptacles 5 is arranged at the bottom of the frame module 1 arranged on
the
left and at the top in the frame module 1 arranged on the right. However, the
invention is not limited to this; geometries and dimensions of the receptacles
5 can
be present in any number and any orientation. A free space remains in the
interior of
the drawer 8 to the right of the two frame modules 1 that can be individually
used but
can also be provided with one or more other frame modules.
Figure 6 shows the arrangement of figure 5 but with three frame modules 1
arranged in the drawer 8. Here too, two receptacles 5 with different
dimensions are
arranged per frame module 1. The receptacles 5 of the middle and of the right
frame
module 1 have the same orientation and the receptacles 5 of the frame module 1

arranged on the left are arranged rotated through 180 .
Figure 7 shows another modular system 7 with several frame modules 1 in
accordance with the invention with inserted containers 9 similar to buckets in
a
drawer 8 with a closing element 12'. In this embodiment three frame modules 1,
18

CA 02838690 2014-01-08
each with two receptacles, are provided, whereby containers 9 like buckets are

inserted or suspended in all six receptacles. Four of the receptacles 9 are
provided
with a cover 10. The buckets can be constructed, for example, to receive
trash. The
invention should not be limited to this but rather any objects can be sorted,
stored or
preserved in the containers 9.
Connection elements, in particular of the type shown in figure 4, are
advantageously present also in the embodiments according to figures 5 to 7
between
adjacent frame modules 1, which connection elements are also not shown or are
not
recognizable for reasons of clarity.
