This is shredding of kitchen waste / scraps usually dumped into a composter.
The
instrument is connected to the top of a lawn mower and is powered by the same
shaft that rotates the lawn mower blade. The shredded pieces are then directed

onto the grass by an ejection plate.

showing cut out at bottom of canister wall for discharge of shredded
waste.
