English Abstract

An extendable plow is disclosed. The extendable plow may include a
transitional cutting edge disposed on a bottom edge of the center section, the

transitional cutting edge allows moved material to transition from one plowing

surface to another. The extendable plow may include a pair of compression
springs
coupled to the back facing of the center section of the extendable plow, the
pair of
compression springs to trip the extendable plow. The extendable plow may also
include a center section with a side extension on each side of the center
section that
may be extended to a plurality of predetermined lengths to accommodate
different
sized work environments and move more material.

section 210. The transitional cutting edge 230 may allow moved material to
transition
smoothly from one plowing surface to another.
FIG. 3 illustrates a rear perspective view of an extendable plow 300 with a
transitional cutting edge 310, in accordance with one embodiment of the
present
invention. The extendable plow 300 may include a plurality of side extensions
320, a
transitional cutting edge 310 and a pair of vibrational mounting plates 330.
The side
extensions 320 illustrated in FIG. 3 are extended from a center section 322 of
the
extendable plow 300. The transitional cutting edge 310 may be extended from
the
center section 322 of the extendable plow 300 along a bottom edge 320A of each
of
the side extensions 320 with a pair of transitional cutting extensions 312.
The pair of
transitional cutting extensions 312 may also be disposed on the bottom edge
320A
of each of the side extensions 320. The pair of transitional cutting
extensions 312

CA 02845058 2014-03-07
The extendable plow 500 may include an extension arm 510 disposed on
each side 500A of the extendable plow 500 and a gusset support system 520. The

extension arm 510 may each be adapted to be extended outward from the
extension guide (FIG. 4, 410) by the second pair of cylinders (FIG. 2, 224).
The
extension arm 510 may each be guided by the extension guide 410 as the
extension
arm 510 may each be guided outward. The extension arm 510 may each be coupled
to the side extensions (FIG. 2, 220) thereby resulting in the side extensions
(FIG. 2,
220) extending from the center section (FIG. 2, 210) of the extendable plow
500. The
extension arm 510 may each extend the pair of transitional cutting extensions
(FIG.
3, 332) disposed on the side extensions 220 while the side extensions 220 are
extended from the center section 210. The extendable plow 500 may include four

extension arms 510 but any suitable number of extension arms may be utilized
by
the extendable plow 500 to extend the side extensions (FIG. 2, 220). The
gusset
support system 520 may be an internal gusset support system 522. The gusset

center
section (FIG. 2, 210). The second plowtop extension 620 may be disposed on top
of
7

CA 02845058 2014-03-07
the center section (FIG. 2, 210). The first plowtop extension 610 and the
second
plowtop extension 620 may assist to direct pushed material forward as the
pushed
material is driven up the pair of side extensions (FIG. 2, 220) and the center
section
(FIG. 2, 210). The extendable plow 500 may include four extension arms 510 but
any
suitable number of extension arms 510 may be utilized by the extendable plow
500
to extend the side extensions (FIG. 2, 220).
