Description
Narrow-Gauge Locomotive Special for Maintenance and Fire Control in Tunnels.
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a narrow-gauge traction locomotive special
for
maintenance and fire control in tunnels.
Description of the Related Art
Fires in expressway tunnels are mainly caused by a short circuit of the inner
power supply,
vehicle faults and traffic accidents. After a fire occurs, the fire spreads
quickly and widely,
tending to causing massive personal injuries and death and financial losses.
Tunnels are usually
long, narrow in pavement and high in traffic volume. When a fire occurs,
expressway
administrations have difficulties in adoption of effective measures to perform
traffic control in
time, vehicles get stuck, are difficult to be evacuated and can cause traffic
jams very easily;
moreover, due to the various combustibles, and the fire spreads along with the
vehicles, easily
resulting in the horrifying scene of massive fires. Meanwhile, limited by the
tunnel space, the
rescue personnel and the fire control equipment fail to play an effective
combination role, thus
prolonging the fire extinguishing time, delaying the optimal opportunities for
fire control, and
greatly increasing difficulties in rescue. Due to the features of the building
structures of the
expressway tunnels, the fire in the tunnel is fierce and generates various
hazards such a high
risk of explosion, a high temperature, quick spreading, concentrated toxic
smoke, poor visible
conditions, causing great difficulties to rescue and fire control. Moreover,
the roadways for fire
control are insufficient; the operation space is limited; the fire point is
difficulty reached; the
position of the fire point and the firing scope are difficultly measured.
Safety facilities in the
tunnels are electrically operable and have low resistance to fire. Once a big
fire occurs, the

CA 02951737 2016-12-09
internal facilities are extremely easily damaged, in particular when the
lighting in the tunnels is
damaged; more difficulties are brought to the fire control. In the case of
leak of the dangerous
chemical materials and poisonous materials, very serious consequences will be
generated. The
control of the fire accidents in the expressway tunnels faces the challenges
of high danger,
massive losses, huge difficulties, long time, long working distance,
ineffective guarantee on
organization of the backup personnel, equipment, apparatuses and materials,
and difficulties in
command.

occurs, comparison with the fire vehicles, the narrow-gauge traction
locomotive can more
effectively approach the fire field in time, facilitating the commanding and
scheduling of the
fire control, effectively guarantee the supply of personnel, equipment,
apparatuses, goods and
materials, thus reducing massive death, injuries and losses caused by fire.
Based on the above technical solution, the present invention can be improved
in the
following way.
Further, the narrow-gauge traction locomotive special for maintenance and fire
control in

car) can be
equipped with fire control equipment (special fireman equipment such as gas
masks, fireproof
cloths, and fire control apparatuses such as fire extinguishers, water guns,
water tapes, water
guns, spray guns, etc.) and also reserved with a fireman operation station
where one or two fire
men can ride.
The principle of the present invention is as follows:
Traction locomotive rails are fully laid on the maintenance roadways on one
side or two
sides of a tunnel. The maintenance roadways and the tunnel roadway are
different in height,
and motor vehicles also keep a certain distance to the maintenance roadways
during normal
running or during colliding, not affecting the movement on the maintenance
roadways. The
narrow-gauge traction locomotive special for maintenance and fire control in
tunnels of the
